About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. The longer and more detailed the instructions, the better!

About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. I currently work full time from my home. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.

About: I've been dropping in to aid family and friends with their dogs, cats, and other pets since I was in high school, and have been online doing general pet services for the last 3 or so years now. I myself have 3 cats and a snake. I have experience with giving cats eye medication, oral pills, medication mixed with treats/food, and creams. For dogs I've given creams and medication mixed with food/treats. I'm currently doing freelance work so my schedule is pretty flexible. Other than my own pet's schedule, I'm happy to find time for your pet's needs. I always make sure to check in with my clients to ensure they feel comfortable with me in their house. Things like where they're comfortable with me going and doing, where the pet(s) are allow to be, any routines that need to be done, and anything else they'd like to precaution or worry about.

About: Back in middle school and high school I up I used to watch and walk family friends dogs. I have experience in giving medication to animals. I’m moving back in with my parents for a few months. I don’t have a part time job or anything so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I provide care for dogs in the client’s home, including feeding, fresh water, exercise, companionship, and following any specific care instructions. I also offer dog walking to help keep pets active, happy, and on their regular routine.

About: I have over 2000 hours caring for shelter cats. I am the guardian of five cats. I'm comfortable around shy cats, kittens, old cats, all cats! I can administer simple medication if needed. I'm extremely patient and will take the time to let your cat get comfortable with me, or back away if your cat is stressed. I would love to play with your cat! I love cuddles! I love chillin' from a distance if that's what your cat needs. I'm a responsible adult and will follow the directions you leave for me. Your trip away from home will be worry-free in my care. I can also provide excellent care for small animals. Growing up I had a summer job caring for rabbits and a rabbit of my own who lived to be 12 years old! I also had a pet guinea pig named Oreo. I have flexible job hours and can work around your schedule. I have a car and am not afraid to drive in inclement weather conditions. With my own cats, I feed them twice per day and give them hours of cuddle time. My experience at animal shelters has given me a lot of experience approaching cats with different personality types.

About: I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets! I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need ! I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. I do whatever I can to make my dogs, cats, and other pets at my house feel as loved as possible as well as safe. I hope to make your pet feel the same way.

About: I’ve been taking care of my dogs since high school and have taken care of family friends pets as well over the years. I love animals and I love taking care of them. I am currently on summer break from school, and trying to keep myself busy this summer with a job before I have to go back. About: I have experience with all kinds of dogs! My own 2 dogs come from very different places. Belle (3 yo, mixed breed) is a medium-sized rescue dog from the island of St. Croix and Atari (4 yo, Cavachon mixed breed) was born on a farm and has been spoiled since birth! :) I also volunteer with Ruff Start USVI, the rescue service that rescued my dog Belle! I spend time with the rescue puppies, taking care of them, playing with them, etc. My family also often foster dogs from Ruff Start, Belle was a foster dog before we decided to adopt her! I am currently searching for a summer part time job so I have lots of time to take care of your pets this summer! I will be in the Ankeny area until August 10th when I move back to Ames for college! About: I have owned a dog since I was 7, along with helped local families by watching their dogs while on vacation. Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. I am completely free on my days off with just trips to the gym and local coffee shops. I am willing to spends time playing with dogs and going for walks on my days off due to having an open schedule. I am comfortable coming to other houses to make sure their dogs stay less stressed and feel for comfortable in their surroundings. I take them for walks in the neighborhood on leashes.

I have experience with puppies all the way to seniors, making sure they get the love and care as if they were my own I currently work part time and have availability in the mornings, early and late afternoons. At my home, pets have access to a large fenced-in backyard for safe playtime. About: I’ve taken care of animals for just over 10 years. I’ve done house sitting, drop ins, and boarding for neighbors and friends. I have helped to train puppies, and taken care of senior dogs. About: Hi! My name is Allison, and I would love to care for your fur family member! I have grown up around dogs and have been the primary caretaker for our family pets. Not only have I cared for our family dogs (labs & golden retrievers), but I have also dog-sat and walked dogs for other family members and friends since I was 10 years old. I have experience with other animals as well. I am currently taking a summer college course (M-Th mornings) and have late morining though early evening availability. I have some weekend availability as well. I believe compassion, respect, and structure are the keys to keeping your pet safe. My goal is to do what is right for the animals in my care while building a good relationship with their human parents. I will treat your fur family members and their homes with respect and care.

About: I’ve watched many dogs and two cats over the past 4 years usually over family friend vacations. I’ve worked with reactive dogs as well as two young puppies. I spoil my dogs and would be happy to treat your pets with just as much love! I am a part time college student so I have a TON of time to pet sit! As I prepare for dental school in the fall, I will also be free for summer work. I love staying with dogs in either an environment they are used to or my own depending on what the pet parent prefers! There is a fenced in dog park behind my apartment that is never occupied where I run around with dogs. If it is occupied, I would walk around the park nearby with lots to smell on the trail. I also love giving dog baths, so that could totally be included!
