About: While I have never owned my own cat (that will change in the new future), I have lived with cats for the past three years. I was fortunate enough that my college roommate had a cat, who became like my own. Over the three years of living with him, I cared for him on multiple occasions where his mom was out of town, so I was able to gain experience with all the aspects of taking care of a cat in their home. I have also been a veterinary assistant for the last 4 years, where I have learned how to make cat patients feel comfortable in high stress environments. About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, I can’t imagine life without animals. I currently have a senior border collie named Lola, she has arthritis so sometimes she needs help getting around and I’m always willing to help my girl. I also have a senior cat. Currently I’m a doordash/grub hub driver, so I literally am free 24/7 to care for your pets! I will prioritize Rover over delivery, so I can work with any schedule you need. I’m available for repeat needs (several walks a week, drop ins, etc). I live in a duplex with a yard. For me to board a pet, they would need to get along with my dog, and she can honestly be a bit grumpy meeting new dogs, so I feel going to the client’s home would be best. About: I have been a pet parent for over 15 years. I currently have a 4 year old German shorthair pointer named Draco and a 11 year old cat named Rubeus. Draco is a big goofy lover. About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: I love all types of pets. I’m very affectionate, attentive to details, responsible, high energy. Pets make me feel less anxious and I love them in my lap I am available any after before 8 am and after 4 pm for a walk or feed the pets. All day during the weekends to watch them. Any day during the week for overnight care I take them everyday once a day and let them go outside to pee and poo because I have a danced yard. I feed my dog twice a day, and give a bath every 2 weeks. I these her every other day. Control fleas and worm every month, and take her for nail trim every 3 weeks.

About: I have owned a dog since I was 7, along with helped local families by watching their dogs while on vacation. Along with during college, helping a breeder with her pups and personal dogs ranging from 1 day old to 12 years old. I am currently working an internship 3 days a week. About: I have lived with dogs my entire life. I began playing a role in walking, and feeding/filling water for my dogs since I was 12. I have also watched my friend’s dogs before by stopping in a few times a day to feed them and give them love! At home we use an electric fence for our animals but for others I accompany them outside on a leash. Training is also a constant in my household, whether that be scheduled training sessions, or simply consistent work throughout daily tasks. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.
About: I have over 2000 hours caring for shelter cats. I am the guardian of five cats. I'm comfortable around shy cats, kittens, old cats, all cats! I can administer simple medication if needed. I'm extremely patient and will take the time to let your cat get comfortable with me, or back away if your cat is stressed. I would love to play with your cat! I love cuddles! I love chillin' from a distance if that's what your cat needs. I'm a responsible adult and will follow the directions you leave for me. Your trip away from home will be worry-free in my care. I can also provide excellent care for small animals. Growing up I had a summer job caring for rabbits and a rabbit of my own who lived to be 12 years old! I also had a pet guinea pig named Oreo. I know how hard it is to find sitters for "exotic" pets. I grew up with family members with dogs (Rocky, Max, Snick, and Ginger) and have shelter experience with dogs as well. I want to meet your doggo! I have flexible job hours and can work around your schedule. I have a car and am not afraid to drive in inclement weather conditions. With my own cats, I feed them twice per day and give them hours of cuddle time. My experience at animal shelters has given me a lot of experience approaching cats with different personality types.

Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". We know that Gizmo is not aggressive with cats, but he hasn't had much 1:1 time with cats, so we were very pleased that the two enjoyed playing! “This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly.
