About: I used to work as a certified dog trainer and managed a daycare / boarding facility for 2 years. I was an employee there for longer. 12 hour days every day with dogs of all types. I know how to administer medications, including insulin. I also know how to handle myself in emergency situations, I've learned dog first aid and I've broken up fights in my time that would've been deadly if I wasn't there. I am currently a general contractor making my schedule very open, my wife loves helping with pets of all kinds as well which allows for more care opportunities. The only thing that wouldn't likely work would be multiple days of house sitting IF I am not able to leave for 3-4 hours at a time. I have a hard time spending an extended amount of time not being able to see my infant son! I'll do whatever someone wants for their pet, assuming it's reasonable. I'm okay on multiple large walks, extended play time outside, anything like that is 100% okay. From dogs- cows- fish we would love to help provide dependable care and always ensure your pets are treated with the upmost respect and attention they deserve!

This is the second time Karly has been our walker for Bella. The first time was a 5 week hire while we were out of town. The second time was a short notice two day walker stint. Always punctual through both terms, and always caring. We felt very comfortable knowing Karly was watching our Senior Labrador Bella. Bella loved it too!

About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. I currently work full time from my home. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.

About: I have experience with all kinds of dogs! My own 2 dogs come from very different places. Belle (3 yo, mixed breed) is a medium-sized rescue dog from the island of St. Croix and Atari (4 yo, Cavachon mixed breed) was born on a farm and has been spoiled since birth! :) I also volunteer with Ruff Start USVI, the rescue service that rescued my dog Belle! I spend time with the rescue puppies, taking care of them, playing with them, etc. My family also often foster dogs from Ruff Start, Belle was a foster dog before we decided to adopt her! I am currently searching for a summer part time job so I have lots of time to take care of your pets this summer! I will be in the Ankeny area until August 10th when I move back to Ames for college! I will be able to provide services in Ames once I return! ☺️ I will update with my college schedule once it gets closer to move-in. I am completely flexible to whatever your dog may need! I can perfectly heed to any dog schedule and follow along with any weird little quirk! I love sending pictures and will send plenty of updates or only a few, whatever you prefer!

About: I've been dropping in to aid family and friends with their dogs, cats, and other pets since I was in high school, and have been online doing general pet services for the last 3 or so years now. I myself have 3 cats and a snake. I have experience with giving cats eye medication, oral pills, medication mixed with treats/food, and creams. For dogs I've given creams and medication mixed with food/treats. I'm currently doing freelance work so my schedule is pretty flexible. Other than my own pet's schedule, I'm happy to find time for your pet's needs. I always make sure to check in with my clients to ensure they feel comfortable with me in their house. Things like where they're comfortable with me going and doing, where the pet(s) are allow to be, any routines that need to be done, and anything else they'd like to precaution or worry about.

About: I've been around animals my entire life. My mother is a veterinarian which helps a lot with understanding and caring for various cute and cuddly creatures. I am currently working part-time, but my schedule is fairly flexible. I would love for you to give me a call and we can work something out. I have two dogs and a cat who enjoys the outside world along with a cat who enjoys the indoors. I respect the animal's environment and know the best way to keep an animal happy is to let it do what it loves.

About: I have had pets since I was at least four years old, so I am very familiar with taking care of them. I also frequently dog/house/cat sit for friends and family, as well taking care of both dogs and cats at my job at an animal shelter. Right now I am a full time college student, so I do have more availability over holiday weeks and weekends. However, depending on the services needed, I can easily fit my schedule to yours. My classes often have multiple hour breaks between them. I have past and current people that I have worked for that would be happy to share how I am with taking care of your pets and homes. About: I’ve watched many dogs and two cats over the past 4 years usually over family friend vacations. I’ve worked with reactive dogs as well as two young puppies. I spoil my dogs and would be happy to treat your pets with just as much love! I am a part time college student so I have a TON of time to pet sit! As I prepare for dental school in the fall, I will also be free for summer work. I love staying with dogs in either an environment they are used to or my own depending on what the pet parent prefers! There is a fenced in dog park behind my apartment that is never occupied where I run around with dogs. If it is occupied, I would walk around the park nearby with lots to smell on the trail. I also love giving dog baths, so that could totally be included!

About: Hi there! If you’re looking for someone with experience and love for your special doggos, you have come to the right place. I have dreamt about rescuing/taking care of animals my whole life. Just two years ago, me and my boyfriend rescued our first dog (Huxley) and in January 2022 we rescued our second dog (Ryder). That is the best decision we have ever made, I can’t imagine live without them. We always make sure they have the best toys, treats, walks daily, training, and all the love they deserve from us! I also grew up in a family with dogs and they are family to me also. I would bathe, feed, walk, play fetch, and care for them in addition to my dogs I have now. I will do anything to make sure your pup/pet is safe, comfortable, and having fun. I’m currently working full time but work at nights while studying to go to law school next year. My boyfriend works from home for Wells Fargo and we live together so it works out perfectly! I watch our dogs in the morning and when I leave for work my boyfriend will watch our dogs at night. We have a pretty flexible routine and that’s why we are passionate to help others with their pets be in the most safe, comfortable, and fun place. We care for our pets in various ways. We have a fenced in yard for our dogs to enjoy, but we also take them on 1-2 walks a day or take them to different locations to check out new places! We used to crate them when they were puppies but now they are older, they are house trained and are able to free roam. Same goes for your precious pup, we can take them for walks, play fetch, provide enrichment activities with frozen peanut butter/a ball that we put our dogs kibble in that they have to roll around to get the food out. If they need crated, or anything we can do to make you feel comfortable along with your special pup, we can do that. If they are more relax around the house dog, we can hang out with them and watch some movies. If they enjoy playing with other dogs, we have two dogs of our own that get along with any animal. They know how to play gentle and will play at whatever speed the other dog prefers. We can provide anything you as the client and dog needs from us, and promise to always keep them safe.

About: Animal lover and owner for 15+ years, with experience caring for dogs, cats, snakes, and a crested gecko. I genuinely love caring for pets, whether they’re mine or yours! I’m always happy to help keep them safe, loved, and well cared for As a stay-at-home mom, my schedule is naturally flexible, which allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I love being able to use that flexibility to help care for other families’ pets whenever they need it. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space and your animals with the same respect and attention I give my own. About: As a dog mama myself, I understand that our dogs are more than just our pets. They’re an integral part of our family! I strive to provide them with the necessary care they need, but also the enrichment they need to thrive and live a happy life. I love to play with them, take them out for walks, and provide them with love and pets. It’s important to me that they are not just physically cared for, but they are mentally stimulated through play and emotionally cared for at every visit. I'm always mindful that all pets should be greeted with a slow introduction, that does not come off as intrusive, or threatening. Even the most social pets, can behave differently when an unfamiliar person enters their home while family is not present. I always take that into consideration upon each visit, as I get to know your dog/cat, and build a trusting relationship. Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". Requested information about your pet -Medication schedule -Behavioral issues that may affect walking your pet on public sidewalks, history of biting or aggression while being fed. -Ongoing medical conditions -Vet number and/or emergency contact I currently work on a hybrid schedule - 3 days in West Des Moines and 2 days at home in Ankeny. I have a flexible schedule where I can pop around to your pet when needed. I have a heart for animals along with the patience needed to give quality pet care. Your pet will always come first and I would treat them as if they are my own.
