About: My grandfather was a veterinarian for 50 years. I fortunately got to grow up living with them & was able to see animals of all ages, shapes & sizes. I don’t think there was a day where I wasn’t with him at the office “helping” out (scooping poop and cleaning kennels). In my own adult life, i have 4 of my own animals who I treat better than myself 🤣 i love them to pieces and always do my best to ensure their needs are met. You can expect me to do the same for you! My 17 yr old man Tiger has some extra care needs so I am 100% comfortable with doing extra care needs for your animals. I’m a social worker that is able to make her schedule most weeks. I work from home a few days a week and am able to make a flexible schedule. You can trust me to provide for your animals as I provide for my own. I work for the State of Iowa & have passed a background check with no concern.
“Jaron was great! We needed some help with our pup at very last minute, on a busy spring break week of all times. Jaron was available quickly, was incredibly attentive to our doggo, and asked some great questions letting us know he really cares about pups. Glad we could have him caring for our dog, we will absolutely rebook with him!”

“She did a very great job taking care of my babies. She actually made another visit in between times so they wasn't inside to long. Highly recommend her. I'd definitely have her do it again if she is available. Great job”

“Thank you Sarah for helping me meet the needs of my cat while I was out of town! Although he didn’t cooperate fully, you never gave up on giving the best care you could. I arrived home to a well fed and happy cat!”
“Kelley was nothing short of amazing! She handled everything perfectly and was consistent and on time. It was a great feeling to know that my fur babies were being well taken care of. If you want someone that pays attention, is on time and great with animals.. call Kelley!”

“Allyson is wonderful! Our boy is quite a bundle of energy and hard to manage, but he LOVES.Allyson!!! He knows he will get lots of exercise, playtime and attention, and we know she will be reliable. We are thankful to have her.”

About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I enjoy walking dogs and taking them to the park for some enrichment and exercise! Providing some time during the day to keep your pet company is something I love to do. As a pet owner, when I'm away for longer than normal, it always makes me feel better knowing my pets have someone to check in on them, so I love to do that for others when I can! I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I am available for daytime care during the work day, as well as last minute care needs! I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.
“Kevin has been helping us with my aunt's cat who needs daily medication. He is professional, friendly, quick to respond, and most importantly, Cleo is getting her pills. He also sends us a photo of her after each visit which we find funny (she doesn't look too happy after being pilled but she does have a lot of attitude!) and also comforting to know she is being taken care of by someone who knows what he is doing and enjoys it.”

About: I have nine years of pet care experience. I raised and showed Rex rabbits for 4 years. Personally I have trained and care for my own dogs. After High School I work in an Animal Hospital. My duties there included receiving the animals for appointments, prepping and assisting in surgeries, keeping accurate records, cleaning and sanitation of the facilities. I am available to care for pets full time as I am looking to make a career out of caring for pets as I pursue a position as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. As the daughter of a veterinarian, growing up around animals was a given so I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and health statuses (if your pet needs any specific care). I also have two cats of my own! I look forward to meeting your pets! I currently work a full time day job, so my availability at the moment is mostly evening/weekend, but certain circumstances may allow for additional availability depending. About: I provide experienced, reliable dog care focused on dog walking and drop-in visits. I'm available for house sitting on the weekends. I grew up around working dogs, helping my grandfather and stepdad, who were coon dog haulers. From a young age, I was responsible for feeding dogs, cleaning kennels, and learning how to read behavior and body language. As an adult, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs, including nervous and reactive dogs. I also fostered a dog with aggression issues, which gave me real experience with triggers, stress signals, and safe handling. I focus on structured walks and drop-in visits that support a dog’s natural needs—sniffing, movement, routine, and mental stimulation through enrichment activities. I am home-based and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of timing needs, especially mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. Meet-and-greets are required to ensure safety and a good fit for every dog. When boarding, I prefer to have smaller dogs due to living in a duplex. I can have 1-2 at a time. My dog gets along with most dogs, it seems he prefers dogs his size and smaller. I am experienced in walking 2-3 dogs at once. I have learned how to deal with dog fights and aggressive/reactive dogs through training. I have plenty of time for walks and Drop in visits. I would love to play with your pups and spend quality time with them. I will treat your home with the utmost care and your pet with affection. You'll receive consistent updates and photos for complete peace of mind".

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cambridge. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
