About: Everyone knows me as the dog-obsessed friend. I've never met a dog I didn't have a connection with. Dogs seem to sense that something is different about me and that I'm the one to go to for extra love and pets. I have particular experience with and compassion for senior dogs. My husband and I rescued an 8 year old black Lhasa Apso in Chicago and got to spend 4 wonderful years making sure her remaining time was filled with love and happiness. That experience opened our hearts and minds to just how special a relationship with an older dog can be, and is what inspired us to open our home to fostering animals. When I'm not fostering or dog sitting, I'm playing with my neph-pups, seeing what the neighborhood dogs are up to, or watching funny dog videos online. I work from home full time as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I am able to set my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to be available for all your pet's needs. Our home has a spacious fenced-in backyard for lots of running (plus some daring squirrels and rabbits around that seem to want to be chased). We have an adjustable crate for varying sized fur babies that I line with comfy blankets and padding. We keep the crate in our guest room with a noise machine and overhead fan so they feel comfortable and safe. For dogs who are used to sleeping in a bed, we forego the crate and just let a pup snooze right on the guest bed. If it's your home, I follow your instructions to make sure your pet is as comfortable and happy as if you were still there. I'm also a big photo taker! I will provide pup-dates multiple times a day until you tell me to stop.

About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from local rescues. I recently earned a bachelors degree in animal science and currently attend veterinary school at ISU. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! Pet care is built into my schedule and comes as second nature to me now after being immersed in it for so long. On average, a minimum of 3-5 hours of my day are dedicated to my animals. I enjoy taking my dog on multiple walks a day, of varying lengths, to ensure he has enough mental stimulation and exercise to meet his needs. Training is also a constant in my household, whether that be scheduled training sessions, or simply consistent work throughout daily tasks. I find it important to build a bond with my animals as well as those I meet, and training helps strengthen that bond. About: Animals hold a special place in my soul that I can't describe. Each pet brings me joy to take care of. I've had a few pets over the years; right now a 7 year old Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu named Snoopy. I've also worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for the past two years. About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.
About: I am a veterinary student at ISU with experience pet sitting, caring for shelter animals, and clinical care. I am comfortable caring for pets with special diets and administration of oral medicine. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, and I have flexibility in caring for pets of varying activity levels. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have school on weekdays, but I'm available for walks during the lunch hours from 11am - 1pm. I'm also available after 5pm Monday - Friday and have full availability on weekends. Your pet's comfort is my number one concern so I have no problem coming to you or taking your pet to their favorite park. I'm comfortable walking larger dogs that pull the leash and explore or older dogs with limited mobility. My dog has a vestibular issue, so I'm experienced lifting pets to help them up and down stairs and getting into cars. I'm also experienced giving oral medication, clipping/shaving nails, and bathing.
About: I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 6. During college I got a dog of my own. After I was done with undergrad, I babysat many of my old teammates dogs and had great feedback. I have all the necessary skills and tools to care for any dog. I could also schedule a play date with my own dog if wanted! I am going to start my job in Boone and a family medicine PA-C in December and looking for work til then! While I wait for my new job to begin in December, I have a very flexible schedule and am available anytime to care for your pets! Prefer a fenced in yard if you have multiple dogs but I have no problem walking them. I have no other preferences at this time.
About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and am around different types of dogs regularly. I am very passionate about caring for dogs. I work part-time and attend college. I am available pretty much every day during the summer, my summer is fairly open until mid August when I go back to school. I have one dog at my apartment, but when I am home, there are three more dogs. I am very attentive when it comes to caring for dogs, and I love to entertain them and take them for walks.
About: My friends, family and neighbors have come to me when they need someone to look after their pets. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fish and reptiles. During the week, I have veterinary school with breaks between classes. I was a vet assistant for 5 years so I gained plenty of experience with a variety of animals. Animal care is one of my passions so walking and sitting in my free time is something I enjoy! I’m am a veterinary student during the week so I’m looking to help walk dogs or pet sit on the weekends and days I get off. I have breaks between classes that I can utilize as well I live in an apartment with lots of trails and parks nearby. I hope to get them outside and walking especially during nice days. I’m more than happy to go to the pet to stay/check on them when you’re away
