“Katrina and her children took great care of my pup while I was away for the holidays. She sent lots of updates and photos. Her dogs are super sweet and were great playmates for Luna. She came home happy and tired from all the playtime. Katrina provided all of the dogs with Christmas treats and they each got to unwrap and keep a present! Great service. I will definitely contact Katrina in the future when Luna needs a place to stay.”

“This is our first Rover booking and we couldn't be happier. Brooke did an excellent job of making sure our "new to us" rescue dog had a good experience. Amee got to read stories at bedtime and take walks with the family. She'll be back for more fun.”

“Our lab, Yeller, has stayed with Steve and Tilaine twice during our summer vacation and he has a wonderful time in their home. They are loving and responsible and treat him like family. He loves playing in their fenced yard with the kids, laying in the sun on their deck, and all the attention he gets throughout his stay. When we dropped Yeller off for his second stay with them, about a year after the first one, he enthusiastically bolted from the car right up to Steve and immediately made himself at home again. They have also been flexible with our return time as our flight was delayed and accommodated an extension of the stay on short notice. Highly recommend this family for your dog sitting needs!”

“Nicole was a great sitter. Rowen was happy and well taken care of. This is the first time she had been left for this long with a sitter who wasn’t a close friend and we were anxious. Nicole put our minds at ease, sent pictures and updates. She answered all of my nervous Nelly questions. We will definitely be calling on her again.”

“This is the second time we left Stormy with Samantha, and we did so with great peace of mind. He seems to enjoy going to her house, and Samantha and her family did a great job taking care of him, including all his medications and dietary needs. Will definitely hire her again next time we travel.”

“Great sitter. It was a GR party of 3! My dog was worn out, happy and well taken care of. Daily updates with a picture was sent. Thx for your care! Would recommend and use Kayla again.”

“Megan always takes such great care of our Kota girl. She sends pics and updates almost daily and is a great communicator about drop off and pick up times. She cares for Kota like she is her own and I always know she will be well loved while we are gone. So grateful for Megan!!”

“Roxy was amazing watching Jack, they treated him like one of their own dogs. We will absolutely be coming back! She sent pictures and updates which helped make his first stay easier on me.”

“I am so satisfied with the care that Kimberlee provided Jett during his stay. She sent photos of him being active, around other dogs and of him relaxing which made me more comfortable while I was away. I will definitely rebook and she will be my Go To in the Des Moines area.”

“Christopher been nothing but amazing with our pups. He’s gone above and beyond what we expected and that’s why he will always be our go to person. He’s done an amazing job I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a sitter to watch over ur precious loved one”

“I have used Erin and Chris to watch my chocolate lab many many times! I feel so comfortable leaving town because I know they treat my dog like he is their own! If you are searching Rover to find a potential sitter, just stop and book on their page. You won’t regret it!❤️”

“We absolutely loved having our Weimaraner, Hollis stay with Jacquelyn and her family! We felt so comfortable leaving her and Hollis enjoyed her time with them as well! There was never a doubt that she was safe and in excellent hands with them. We will definitely be rebooking with Jacquelyn every time we need to leave our Hollis.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ames
This was our first time leaving our babies with a non family member/friend, and I am so happy it was with Angela and her family. 🤍 from all the pictures we were sent with updates, it was super obvious how much our puppies LOVED being there! Due to a lot of crazy circumstances, we were an extremely last minute booking request and Angela was so kind and understanding. Meeting her and seeing her warm personality made it so much less stressful for us and our puppies! We will happily book here in the future.

Gizmo had a great stay with Brooke and her family. He and one of their cats, Chester, became very good friends, which is wonderful. We know that Gizmo is not aggressive with cats, but he hasn't had much 1:1 time with cats, so we were very pleased that the two enjoyed playing! Brooke made a concerted effort to walk Gizmo on his home schedule to avoid accidents, which I greatly appreciate.

Steve and Tilaine took absolutely wonderful care of River while we were away. I am a bit nervous leaving my dog since this is our first time and first dog, but Steve and Tilaine really did a good job to put our mind at ease. It was clear that River was happy, comfortable, and engjoying their wonderful backyard. We will definitely recommend their service!

Sam watched my dog Milo for two nights. We did a meet and greet the week prior so Milo and her dog could get acquainted. Sam was flexible with drop off and pick up times and kept me updated throughout the weekend with notes and pictures. She worked through Milo's first night anxiousness and he settled in well by the next day. Milo loved the long walks and puzzles.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
