About: I'm a young woman living in Ames, Iowa who wants to be a professional dog trainer. I currently work full time in a doggy daycare and boarding facility, as well as helping to provide small group structured time including treadmills, training, and enriching dogs' lives! I've been pet sitting for 10 years, have 3 years of veterinary experience, and have been working full time with dogs specifically for a year. Providing excellent care and enrichment to your dog or cat's day isn't a temporary gig I'm using to make more money, its a goal and experience I want to spend my entire life achieving! I have experience with many different behavioral problems both from family dogs as well as other people's pets in the work place, and understand that *every* dog and cat is different, and would love to learn about and work with each individuals' needs! I typically work from either 5 am to 3 pm, or 7 am to about 4 pm. With just over two weeks of notice, I'll happily adjust my work schedule to try and prioritize your pets' needs. I have over 4 years of experience with staying overnight in people's homes with their pets, as well as stopping in in the morning afternoon, and evening to care for pets, so I'm comfortable with both or a combination! I'm happy to communicate with and be flexible for anyone who's looking for pet care though! I have experience in a shelter environment, a veterinary environment, as well as various dog-specific care facilities! I grew up with multiple dogs in the home, and have professional experience with working with both dogs and cats, with and without behavioral and medical concerns. I have experience with being the sole provider of care for hospitalized pets over the weekend in a veterinary facility, as well as in-home pet care for animals of various ages, species, and needs. I'm confident in my ability to provide care that is as close to your pets' daily routine as possible, communicating as much or as little as desired, and ensuring you and your pets' happiness!

My schedule is fairly flexible, there are a couple weekends that I will be busy. Please reach out, I am happy to accommodate wherever I can. I have a large fenced in backyard, and have a 3.5 year old Australian Shepherd named King. I live in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks to take dogs on safe walks. I will follow all instructions and provide attention, exercise, and play time while you are away.

15. Megan S.
“Megan did great with our 4 year old Australian Shepherd and 2 month old Australian Shepherd. She watched them over night and went the extra mile keeping them calm during a storm and doing midnight potty breaks for the puppy; as well as took them on a walk the next day - not always easy with a puppy. She took tons of pictures and kept me updated on how they were doing. Really appreciated her help and willingness to take on a puppy over night.”

18. J B.
“We booked J for dog sitting in our house for a few nights while we were away on a work trip. Our dog is so much more comfortable in her own house, so it worked out super well to have someone stay here. He took excellent care of our dog and our house, and cleaned up before he left. J provided us with an overview of his stay so we know what happened while we were gone. I would definitely book J again in the future.”
19. Kenneth R.
“Kenneth is a natural with animals – seriously, my dogs adore him! Every time I’ve needed help, he’s been there, treating my pups like they’re his own. Reliable, caring, and super chill with pets, he’s the go-to guy for anyone who wants peace of mind when leaving their furry friends behind.”
20. Kimi S.
