About: I've been pet-sitting around my neighborhood since I was 10, and grown up alongside dogs, cats, small rodents, and reptiles. I'm far from squeamish, and I love all creatures, even if they are grumpy, irritable, or messy. I volunteer at the ARL in Ankeny! I'm currently in school, but because I'm not taking a full schedule of classes, I can be around your pets multiple times over the school week every day. I have my own car, so I'm able to get where I need to easily. I don't do sports, so I'm free almost every day of the week, save for the occasional band event. My dog is a friendly older dog who is far from aggressive. She lives to sleep and sit in the sun, and is unbothered by even the most hyper of puppies. I do not have a fenced yard, but I love to walk pets, and will walk them in the morning, at night, or whenever they need it. I also have two cats who have mastered the art of avoiding new dogs when they are over. I can be high energy or low energy depending on what a dog needs, and love to stick to a schedule. The longer and more detailed the instructions, the better!

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I know how to handle extra-large breeds as well as small breeds. I even know how to handle senior dogs and puppies. I currently have a dog and a cat I am responsible for caring for. I take care of my cat full-time and the dog I take care of when I go home. I am responsible for feeding them and cleaning up after them. My dog I will take on walks and play with her. I would make sure they have water and an adequate amount of food. I also ensure their litter box is cleaned if it is a cat. If it were a dog I would take them out for a walk or into to back yard for them to go to the bathroom.

I’ve been taking care of animals all my life and absolutely prefer them over people XD animals are a huge passion of mine and i strive off giving them the best care i possibly can! i’m currently using Rover as one of my main sources of income so i will have plenty of time to care and play with your animals! i’ll take your fur babies on walks at least 3 - 5 times a day. regularly let them out to your yard (if applicable) and will cuddle, play, and love on them as much as possible!

About: I am a third year veterinary student here in Ames! I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant for 6 years now and have gained experience in handling and working with all breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as cats. I have also been petsitting for family friends for 5 years and have plenty of experience making pets feels comfortable while their owner is away. I am comfortable handling any dog or cat, with anything from giving medications to your senior pup to walks and exercise for the more energetic ones! I’m currently working full-time during the week with some evening hours available. I am also typically available all day during the weekend and on most holidays. About: I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets! I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need ! I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. About: By working at a professional dog boarding facility, I have the training and knowledge to care for 3lb pups to 120lb full-grown adults. This includes bathing, nail trimming, safe administration of medication, walking, de-escalation, and mild training. When it comes to cats, I have lived with them my entire life, from all claws to no claws, and kittens to mothers, I have a lifetime of experience caring for calm to feisty felines. I am currently enrolled in a class through DMACC and I work part time at a job. I am home mornings, evenings, and mid-day. I also have a roommate who is just as experienced as I am to help with around-the-clock care! I do live in an apartment so I am only willing to board cats, but I am happy to travel to you to take care of your companions in a familiar environment.
