I work at a veterinary clinic and have kennel shifts a few times throughout the week in the morning and evening. I am also a college student so I have classes. Aside from that I am available and fully willing to work around whatever I need !

I am a deep lover of animals. I have loved animals all my life, and I decided to pursue this love by doing all kinds of volunteer work. I have worked at the ARL as a volunteer for 3 years. I am going into college for animal ecology, and eventually going into vet school to study proper care for animals. I do whatever I can to make my dogs, cats, and other pets at my house feel as loved as possible as well as safe. I hope to make your pet feel the same way.

A typical day
I think walks are always stimulating and exciting for dogs. I will take the dog/dogs on a walk if they are able to. If the pet has a toy or multiple toys I will play with them using those toys as they find joy from those toys. I will find ways to excite the pet and make them feel comfortable around me

Pet care experience
I have been a dog walker at the ARL for 3 years. I have also taken care of many teachers, friends, and neighbors pets. As well as taken care of my school pets! I have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, and many other pets!

We were so lucky to have Allyson care for our 6 fur babies when I had to have surgery. She came for a meet and greet in advance which made a world of difference in their demeanors when she came back to care for them without my husband and I there. They took to her right away. She was so attentive to their individual needs and went above and beyond every visit. We especially enjoyed hearing about her snuggling them. It was so nice to not have worry about their care while going through this major life event. She was amazing at communicating with us as well. Her rover cards were detailed with images of all of our kiddos which we loved seeing while away from them. I 100% recommend Allyson as your sitter. She’s kind, attentive, communicative, respectful, extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell she truly loves what she does and treats your pets like she would her own.
Alyson did a great job taking care of Toby and communicating with us about her visits.
Super reliable and always gives our boy fun things to do. Really great!
