I’m currently a stay at home mom, we start our days early at 6 am so early morning potty breaks or walks are no problem. I have four children who are all in school full-time except for my youngest who is in Preschool part-time, other than running kids to school I’m home all day so your pets will hardly be on their own and when everybody is home there will be plenty of love, cuddles and attention for your pet. I can easily cater to your pets activity level with multiple walks around the neighborhood, trips to the dog park for socialization or just running out some energy in our large fenced in back yard. Our house has plenty of space if your pet prefers alone time with less stimulation, hardwood floors for elderly pets who have a hard time making it to the bathroom outside or puppies who are still potty training.

We have a large privacy fenced in backyard that can keep even the biggest dogs or highest jumpers safe. Hardwood floors for elderly pups or puppies who are still training so accidents are no problem. We have a large couch that we allow the pets to cuddle on with us (unless it’s against your house rules- we’ll make sure to keep all their training consistent with what they are used to at home)

Information Angela P. would like to know about your pet
We take great care to keep up with any rules or training that your dog is currently getting at home. We can easily help work on puppy potty training, clicker or bell training, walking on leashes, or help deter unwanted behaviors like jumping up or nipping. I feel it’s very important to keep our daily schedule as close to what they receive at home to help with any separation anxiety. Any health concerns, dietary restrictions or mannerisms that would help me better care for your dog are a must for me to provide the best level of care possible. We honestly just want your pup to feel just as loved and at home with us as they do with you- and want to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be when leaving your pet with someone new! I know it can be nerve wracking!
A typical day
We have a very open and flexible schedule, we make sure to do multiple daily walks (weather permitting) and spend as much time as they want running around with my kiddos and me in the backyard. We have tons of toys and enrichment activities to keep them entertained. Then plenty of beds, room on the couch, blankets or kennels to nap after they run out all their energy. We enjoy baking healthy dog friendly treats that we love to share with our doggy guests if it’s within their dietary restrictions, we have a nice quiet neighborhood with lots of fun smells or things to explore. We also love to plan hiking day trips or afternoons to the dog park. We love incorporating our doggy guests with our family activities! We’ve had dogs along to help pick our Christmas trees, or come along with us to the cherry blossom festival in DC, even to my sons soccer games. We really want them to be able to be apart of our family while they are here.

Your family is our family!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Angela and my husband is Eric- it’s so nice to meet you! Our family has been lucky enough to be a part of Rover on and off for the last ten years! From Pennsylvania to Florida and now finally settled back home for good here in Iowa- it has been such a wonderful and rewarding experience and we’ve made lifelong friends and memories along the way while being allowed have your family be part of our family even for a brief time. 💕 We have both been animal lovers since we were children and we’ve raised our own kiddos with the same love and a house full of pets! It’s definitely a family venture from my older teens (Ivy and Gage) assisting with drop off’s and pickup’s and helping with walks- to the little girls (Willow and Rosemary) running out energy with your pups in the backyard or cuddling on the couch with your kitties we can meet any need you and your pets have while they obviously get showered with tons of love and attention while you are away. We have a fenced in backyard with a six foot privacy fence to keep your dogs safe. We have hardwood floors for potty-training puppies or our elderly dog friends who can’t quite make it outside in time. Our house is set up so we are able to keep our larger and smaller dog friends apart if need be, or our more playful and active visitors separate from our more shy or low key ones. I’m lucky enough to be a stay at home mom so my days are extremely flexible to work around your schedule. In the summer we do lots of festivals, farmers markets, trips to the creek, hiking, bike rides and walks. We do bundle up in the cold and rain for walks as well but also have the backyard for running off energy and also take trips to Lowe’s or the Pet Store just to get out of the house and get some new smells. We looove having pet friends over for the holidays, we make them a part of everything. Dressing up for Halloween and trick or treating, being in the family photo and taking part in the egg hunt at Easter, getting presents and doggy cake on Christmas or accompanying us to the 4th of July parade.. anything your dog might enjoy they are more than welcome to join in on our family memories and adventures. If you have any questions or unique circumstances please don’t hesitate to reach out! We’ve taken care of snakes and birds and watered plants and gotten mail. We are here to help and more than willing to work with you for anything you might need while you are away. 💕
