“Allison is awesome. She walks my dog, Binx 3-4 times a week while I’m at work, and she’s been absolutely wonderful. She’s also so pleasant and communicates extremely well. She is always incredibly accommodating whenever I need to adjust a walk time and is always understanding. My dog is always excited to see her, It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I highly recommend Allison 10/10”

About: I grew up with my family’s various rescue cats and dogs, so I’ve always been an animal lover. Since childhood, I’ve also enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors whenever I’ve had the opportunity to do so. I’ve mainly looked after cats and dogs, but I also have experience caring for birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and a couple of different types of lizards. I have some experience with training my family’s pets, and lots of experience with giving love to animals of all kinds! I donate 5% of my profits from each Rover booking towards humane societies and animal rescue organizations. I’m currently a full-time college student, so the remainder of the money I make on Rover is set aside and used to afford care for my own cat. During the school year, I’m a full-time student at the University of Vermont and, when I’m not in classes or doing Rover visits, I’m often spending time with my own cat! I spend summers, and most other school breaks, at home with my family in IL. This summer will be my third year working part-time as an inclusion aid for children with disabilities and special needs in summer camps. My weekday mornings are spent there, but the rest of my schedule is more flexible, so I’m looking forward to doing more afternoon and evening Rover visits! I recognize that every animal is unique and has their own wants and needs, and it’s important to me to ensure that your pet is as comfortable, happy, and healthy as they can be while you’re away! I’m happy to follow any instructions you have to care for your pet and your home. If there are any particular precautions you want me to take, or if there’s anything else I can help out with (e.g. bringing in mail, putting out trash cans, etc.) while you’re away, just ask!
“Thank you Sarah for your excellent help/meeting with Annie. Clearly she was drawn to you and calmly. That says a lot. Dogs have that incredible sense about people. I am confident Annie is in good hands. Sue”

About: Hello! I'm Grace, but you can also call me Mairin! For as long as I can remember, I have had animals in my life to care for and love. Cats, dogs, the occasional fish and reptile…I have worked hard to take care of the animals in my life, and sometimes the animals in other people’s lives. I ensure the happiness, well-being, and most importantly, safety and health of all the animals I’ve cared for. I have my own cats and a dog at home, and am their primary caretaker. I clean up after them, make sure their bowls are clean, make sure they’re fed on time and have fresh water, and take the dog out for walks whenever possible. I am also experienced in raising and training puppies, as I was responsible for caring for the puppies from the day they were born until they could be adopted. I trained them by helping them get used to harnesses and leashes, weening them onto wet and dry food, and socializing them with the cats! I have plenty of time to spend with your pets and ensure their happiness and wellbeing! I do have a job alongside pet-sitting, but I will do my best to keep my calendar updated so you know when I am available! I have a relatively flexible schedule. I treat my client’s pets as I do my own. I make sure they’re fed and have a clean dish full of fresh water, and make sure to meet any of their needs properly and efficiently. I take care to follow the pet’s schedule, if any, and make sure they receive proper enrichment and time outside, whether it be playing in the yard or going on walks. I also take care to be diligent and check for any illness and odd behavior. Communication is incredibly important to me, and I will frequently send updates as well as photos to any pet parents!
About: Your pet won’t just be watched- they’ll be cared for with intention, patience, and love. I’ve spent the last 20+ years caring for pretty much every kind of pet you can imagine- dogs, cats, tortoises, iguanas, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, turtles, chickens, rabbits… if it hops, waddles, wiggles, or purrs, I’ve probably fed it, walked it, or given it a pep talk! Animals have always been my grounding place, and I love making sure every pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. I’m patient, attentive, and great at reading their little quirks, which helps them settle in quickly and feel confident in a new environment. 🛡️ Safety‑Focused & Present Your pet is never left alone for long periods. I stay alert on walks, especially around unfamiliar dogs and wildlife. I keep entrances/exits controlled, adjust pace for excited pups, and follow your routines exactly. I focus on the small details that keep them secure and comfortable, so they can relax, explore, and be their happiest self. I handle all the essentials with ease- feeding routines, walks, playtime, cleaning, basic training, and juggling multiple pets at once. Whether your pet needs structure, exercise, affection, or quiet companionship, I create a stress‑free, cozy space where they can relax and feel right at home. 🛁 Optional “go‑home‑fresh” bath: Warm water, gentle shampoo, and a towel or blow‑dry based on your pet’s noise sensitivity. They’ll go home clean, soft, and smelling adorable. Available before pickup for boarding stays. Pet care fits perfectly into my weekly routine, which means your pet gets consistent attention every single day. From Monday–Thursday, I work 8 AM–4 PM just minutes from home, so I’m able to pop in during lunch for mid‑day check-ins, potty breaks, or a little extra love. This makes weekday care smooth and reliable- ideal for boarding, walks, drop-ins, and daycare. Fridays are even better: I work remotely, so your pet gets full-day flexibility, extra walks, enrichment time, and a calm, cozy environment. Weekends are completely open, which makes scheduling easy for overnight stays, longer visits, or last‑minute needs. Because my routine is steady and predictable, pets settle in quickly, feel safe, and get the kind of consistent care that helps them relax and enjoy their stay. Since I don’t have pets of my own, visiting pets get a quiet, calm space and full attention the moment they arrive. Their routine becomes my routine- familiar feeding times, comfy rest breaks, play sessions, and walks that match their energy and needs. My building includes: • Private pet park- a safe, enclosed spot for pets to stretch out, play, and enjoy fresh air during their stay • Quiet park nearby for peaceful walks- ideal for pets who prefer gentle environments over the hustle of community dog areas • Pet wash room- perfect for muddy paws, quick rinses, and keeping pets fresh and comfortable during their stay • Elevator and stair access- every pet gets an option based on their comfort and mobility needs For boarding/daycare, pets who prefer space from other pets can enjoy a one‑household stay. Your pets get focus, consistency, and a cozy environment made just for them. 💛 Extra Support & Enrichment My partner often spends her days off here, and pets absolutely light up around her. She’s an energetic, intuitive animal lover who brings enrichment, playtime, and companionship. She’s also great at helping maintain personalized care routines, and animals naturally gravitate toward her warm, upbeat personality. Since she’s usually here while I’m at work, your pet always has someone kind, attentive, and experienced nearby. 📝 In Your Home I follow your routines closely- feeding schedules, walk routes, play preferences, training rules, and home expectations. I keep your space tidy, respect the space, and make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well‑cared‑for while you’re away.

“Christine, what a godsend. She helped me through a tough situation for which I will forever be grateful. I would rebook this woman's services for everyday if I could afford it. She's kind, great with my little Vinnie, forever has a smile on her face, timely, dependable and helpful. You could not go wrong using her as your dog walker. Thank you Christine for a wonderful experience.”

“I contacted Victoria without much.notice hoping to get somebody to walk my dog 2 times on a day where I was going to be gone for at least 12 hours. She had never met me or my dogs but took on the task. She was.able.to get my dogs out, hung out with them a bit in my yard, and for their second afternoon session she took them for a wooded hike and to a pet store for treats. She went above and beyond and my dogs were very pleased. Great job V.”
“Beth was my first Rover walker ever and I was glad to have found her! She was 100% reliable and was always keeping my pup’s best interests in mind! She always made sure to send pics/summaries of the walks which was nice. I would certainly recommend Beth to anyone searching on Rover!”

“John was great! Very reliable, came early the first time to meet a get a feel for Trixie’s behavior before her walk. Always on time and very personable. I would hire him again without hesitation. Thanks, John!”

“Zack was very conscientious in meeting Trixie before our set schedule of walks. He was aware of her sniffing for food all the time and made sure to stop that behavior. We were able to be flexible with our schedule and his. I would hire him again”

“I cannot speak highly enough of Morgan. Most recently, I used her for daily walks for a foster dog that I had. Despite the challenge of walking a dog neither of us knew well, she was always so kind and patient. Her excellent communication skills were also greatly appreciated as I wanted to ensure I was getting any important information on this foster dog. I definitely plan to continue using her!”
“Madeline saved the day and accepted a last minute request when our usual dog walker was out of town. She was patient with our nervous pup and did a great job at making her feel comfortable!”

“Joan - was amazing! Super responsive. Very flexible. Was able to stop by to walk Duncan at short notice. She sent so many pictures and even called after the walk to provide a status. I will definitely book her again!”
“11/10 service! Kaitlin did a great job! We really appreciated her being available to walk our dog a couple days in a row at such short notice, and she had no trouble with our playful, strong, jumpy 70 lb pitbull/boxer. He was on his best behavior after we got home from work since the walks she gave him were the exact exercise he needed during the day. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again if we need another walk for Major.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have two of my own. One is a 13-year-old terrier, so I’m very comfortable caring for senior dogs and understanding their needs. In addition to caring for my own pets, friends and neighbors have trusted me to watch their dogs while they’re on vacation, so I’m comfortable handling feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
