“Michelle does a magnificent job caring for Travis as he’s still a young pup getting used to the big new world. Travis and I are very thankful our paths crossed with Michelle.”

About: I love dogs and have been working with them for 11 years. I have been dog sitting for about 15 years and love caring for other animals while their family is away. I am a stay at home mom so I prefer to dog sit in my own home I work at an animal hospital in Wheaton, IL and I used to work at a doggie daycare so I know all about dog behavior and how to handle/control them. I also have a certificate in Dog CPR and a certificate for Veterinary Assistant work. I am comfortable with all breeds and dogs of all sizes. I dog sit frequently for a family with 3 dogs and 2 cats! I am home a lot and have a very flexible schedule. If you want a trustworthy dog sitter/walker who loves working with animals, you found her! I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible!! I can do dog walks throughout the day and I can dog sit in my own home since I am home with my kids all day! I have a nice home with a huge fully fenced in yard to run around in. I do own a cat and I have 3 young kids who love playing with dogs!
“John treats my dog like his own. I have a large dog, and she can be difficult to handle, but John is comfortable setting boundaries and managing her behavior. He is always friendly and arrives on time, and my dog is always happy and well exercised after her walks. He communicates well, and I would trust him with my dog any time.”

“Sara has been amazing with my dog. She has now provided services for my dog a few times and has been patient with my dog, who is shy and scared of almost everything. She has also been great with communication. Glad to have matched with her and look forward to booking future walks with her”

About: We love dogs, and have small loving family. I work from home and we are around on weekends, so are perfect for when you need a weekend or week of dog sitting. Our lives have always included dogs, and love spending time with them! We both have experience with puppies and older dogs, and we love going for walks. We have two boys (Archie 6 and Eddie 3) and a lab/vizsla coco (9) and we are all dog lovers! I take coco for two walks a day, which are about 1 mile. I would love to have another dog to take on our walks! We cannot wait to meet your dog and spend quality time with them. I work from home so I will have a lot of time to spend with your dog! I can take the dogs out as much as needed. I work from home and will spend most of the day with the dogs. We have an unfenced yard, but I don't mind taking dogs out on a leash! I can take the dog out as much as needed.
“Zack was very conscientious in meeting Trixie before our set schedule of walks. He was aware of her sniffing for food all the time and made sure to stop that behavior. We were able to be flexible with our schedule and his. I would hire him again”

“Great experience from the start. Immediately received friendly response from Bentley. Definitely a professional who knows the right questions to ask and make you feel comfortable that they have the skills you need.”

“Collette has been so good with my pups! So glad that I found her. She is very detail oriented and accommodating. Collette keeps me updated on everything. Thank you again Collette.”

“Janet is awesome! Dependable and so sweet with our baby boy. Finding her has been a huge weight off my mind, knowing my doggie boy has a wonderful, loving buddy to exercise him while I'm away. You rock Janet!!”

“Destiny was fabulous. She took a bunch of pics of the little guy, which was such a relief having to be at work. She eased my anxiety by keeping me updated throughout the visit”

“Do you believe in love ?at first sight? Well, ? I saw it happen between Joan and our 10 year old, deaf pit bull. From our initial visit until our final visit from Joan everything was perfect. And she takes great pictures. This was our first time but it certainly won’t be our last!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oakbrook Terrace
Macey has done such an outstanding job walking our Sophie this summer. From the first meet & greet, she read Sophie like a book: anticipating when she might bark at another dog, chase a squirrel, or simply watch a rabbit eating grass. And Sophie is a Great Dane mix so she weighs 90 pounds! Macey communicates fully and regularly and has almost always been able to accommodate changes in our schedule. I will simply say that Macey is simply the best and we've already arranged future times we'll need her help. We cannot thank her enough!

Elizabeth continues to be a very reliable and loving dog sitter, whom our dog adores! She not only walks Lily, but she plays with her on days that aren’t nice (their favorite game is soccer!) and takes the time to make sure she’s happy and cared for during each visit. Elizabeth watches our dog weekly, and we couldn’t be happier with her communication and the extra care she consistently puts in.

If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, Elizabeth is truly exceptional. From day one, she has been reliable, professional, and incredibly attentive to every detail. You can tell right away that she genuinely loves what she does—her connection with the dogs is natural and comforting. Elizabeth goes above and beyond on every walk. Whether it’s making sure routines are followed, giving extra attention when needed, or keeping you updated with thoughtful messages and photos, she brings a level of care that’s hard to find. It gives total peace of mind knowing your dog is not just being walked, but truly cared for. She’s dependable, trustworthy, and consistently exceeds expectations. I couldn’t recommend her more highly—any dog would be lucky to have Elizabeth in their life!

Sara was absolutely fantastic from meet & greet to walking our two Dobermans while we were on a day trip. Our older Doberman is a rescue and does not always warm up to new people. He loved Sara immediately! Sara also handled our jump-y Goose, who is technically an adult but all puppy energy. Would highly recommend Sara!

Ana has always done an amazing job caring for my fur baby, Dakota. I’ve worked with her locally many times and was so excited to see her join Rover to continue growing her dog‑sitting career. Ana truly cares about the animals she works with and always takes the time to listen and understand what each pet needs. Dakota is not an easy dog to care for, between her cancer‑related medical needs and her reactive fear of other dogs and children, she can be complicated to leave in someone else’s care. Ana has always risen to these challenges and made us feel completely at ease trusting Dakota with her. This year, we went on a two‑week vacation to Italy, and Ana stayed in our home to care for Dakota the entire time. Not a single walk or medication was missed, and Dakota was loved and cared for as if she were Ana's own pet. I will always trust Ana with Dakota’s care and would confidently trust her with any pets we have in the future. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
