About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 12 years and truly love spending time with animals. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. All pets that come to visit us receive filtered water and we live in a non toxic house hold, we don’t use any harsh chemicals or cleaners for the safety of our little ones! I’m a stay-at-home mom, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule and be home throughout the day. Because of this, pet care fits naturally into my routine and I’m able to give pets lots of attention, playtime, walks, and regular potty breaks. I have full availability Monday through Sunday, all hours, and I truly enjoy caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I live in a secure, dog-friendly high-rise with a gated dog run, sidewalks for walks, and a small grass park across the street. I have one calm, older dog who is very friendly and unbothered by other dogs. The dog run also has cleaning amenities if pups get messy after playtime. I provide a safe, calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and care so your dog feels comfortable and happy while you’re away
“John treats my dog like his own. I have a large dog, and she can be difficult to handle, but John is comfortable setting boundaries and managing her behavior. He is always friendly and arrives on time, and my dog is always happy and well exercised after her walks. He communicates well, and I would trust him with my dog any time.”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life, and have been in care of dogs, cats, lizards, whole farms at a time, etc. I’ve specifically grown up with cats and dogs, and over covid I fostered ~15 dogs/puppies, including those who were poorly socialized/ had special needs. I’m a grad student currently finishing rotations and will be gone 8 hours/day 5 days a week and unable to provide mid day potty breaks(until the end of May), so not the best fit right now for puppies/ higher needs animals. I have been responsible for many animals at a time, I am very observant, communicate well with owners, and have basic veterinary knowledge, including bandage changes, pill administration, and injection administration.
“Collette is the greatest dog walker ever! When I was at work in the city, my pup Sonny started to have seizures and continued having seizures until I got back home. She stayed by his side the entire time. She is very compassionate and caring and has been helping me out with dog walking for almost a year now. She is truly the best! Thank you Collette for everything that you do for me.”

“Jaxx was great with my two pups. She was caring and attentive to their needs. This is the first time I’ve hired her to walk my pups and she did a great job. Reliable, responsive and tender, especially with my 18 yr old Bichon Frise. Ollie, my Cockapoo, loved the belly rubs. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Sophie did an excellent job walking our two big wolfhounds! We booked her for six days and she was always arrived promptly and gave great service. Would highly recommend her 😁”

About: Having a dog and cat all my life has prepared me very well to take care of both dogs and cats! I’ve pet sat for family and friends various times back in Miami and want to continue to do so here in Illinois. I love how we can keep each other company especially since I’m away from home and would love the extra company! Right now, my own cat back home has diabetes, so I’m super comfortable giving insulin shots and handling meds if your pet needs them.I'm part of the PAWS Chicago fostering program, which has been such a rewarding experience. I joined because I was missing the companionship of animals and wanted to give back to the community by opening up my home to a cat in need. I’d love to adopt someday, but since I travel home often, fostering is the perfect way for me to help right now. I’m currently in dental school and away from my own pets, so spending time with yours would honestly be the best part of my day. I treat every animal like they’re family, whether it's snuggles on the couch, playtime, or making sure they stick to their routine. If you're looking for someone caring, responsible, and who truly loves animals, I’d be so happy to help out! I am in clinic Monday-Friday 8-4. Although that is my schedule I normally home for lunch around 11 and stay until 12:30. My day normally ends at 3ish Weekends are usually free unless I am traveling back home! I have a cat litter and toys at hand (no cat) and a dog park area in the back of my apartment for walks and play!
“Took our pups on a great walk! My older pup can struggle in heat, and she watched for his queues and brought him home when he asked and kept cruising with our younger pup! (We had chatted about this before hand, so she knew that we wanted her to take him home early if needed). Great communication and right on time. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my entire life and have been hands-on with animal care from a young age. Since I was about 10 years old, my mom has fostered cats and kittens, and I’ve always been actively involved—helping with daily care, socialization, and giving them plenty of love and attention as they grow. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read animal body language, be patient with different personalities, and adjust my care to each pet’s needs. While I have extensive experience with cats, I’m equally comfortable caring for dogs and enjoy spending time with them as well. My goal is always to provide calm, reliable, and attentive care so your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. I work full-time during the week and am available for evening visits after work. Weekend availability is more flexible, and I’m happy to provide care for both cats and dogs during that time. I care for pets in their own homes so they can stick to their usual routine. I handle feeding, cleanup, playtime, and lots of love, while keeping their space clean and comfortable. I always treat pets like they’re my own and make sure they’re happy and cared for during each visit!

They will be provided with the up-most attention as well as the best care! Rescue pets in particular, are pets I truly understand, as all my dogs have been rescues themselves. I understand the patience, effort, and dedication they need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I’ll make every effort to make sure your dog has the best experience walking with me! I have an extremely flexible schedule so I can come let your dog out while you’re or work or because something came up! I’m available during the week with limited hours on the weekends. I would treat your dog like my own! I have a very strong passion for animals, dogs especially. I believe every dog should feel safe and cared for.
About: I have had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime and have taken care of numerous neighborhood pets since I was a kid. As a full-time student and I’m just looking to make a little extra money on the side while getting a serotonin boost from your furry friends! Is a full-time student during weekdays, I would typically have available evenings bur would be flexible depending on the week. Weekends have much more flexibility. In my home, my yard is fenced in, which provides a perfect backyard environment for my dog to play outside. My cat typically stays inside.
About: I have volunteered at Animal Protective League for nearly 12 years. I am a lover of all animals big and small. Several family members have relied on me to care for their dogs and other pets during that time. Most of my experience is centered around cats as I foster kittens for my local animal shelter, but I did grow up with several dogs. I may not have a dog now, but I will do my best to care for each and every fur-baby that I meet. I am partially employed to a small business that gives me work opportunities when they need extra help. Unfortunately those opportunities are mostly seasonal so I won't receive any work until spring (if COVID doesn't get any worse). They do let me know if they need me several weeks in advance, and my open schedule can be adjusted accordingly if I am given a regulated schedule by someone who wants me to regularly walk/check in with their pet during the day. I have experience house-sitting and caring for my employer's animals. I make a daily schedule for my duties and keep in touch with my employer's in case that schedule changes or if I have any questions/comments about
About: I owned an amazing Chihuahua for 13 years, who's sadly passed on. I love fur friends, can't wait to get another fur family member would, and would love the opportunity to sit for you. I currently work full time from home and have the flexibility and focus to still dog sit and give your furry friend the attention they need. Yes, I have a decent spacious home with an unfenced back yard, nice open front yard, and a park/dog park is a quick block away.
Oakbrook Terrace dog parents share their Rover experiences
Elizabeth is a wonderful and consistent dog walker. She has been caring for my dog, Lily, for several weeks now and is always timely, communicative, and reliable. Most importantly, she genuinely cares about Lily, and it’s clear the feeling is mutual. Lily absolutely adores her, and I have complete peace of mind knowing she’s in such loving and capable hands.

Ana has always done an amazing job caring for my fur baby, Dakota. I’ve worked with her locally many times and was so excited to see her join Rover to continue growing her dog‑sitting career. Ana truly cares about the animals she works with and always takes the time to listen and understand what each pet needs. Dakota is not an easy dog to care for, between her cancer‑related medical needs and her reactive fear of other dogs and children, she can be complicated to leave in someone else’s care. Ana has always risen to these challenges and made us feel completely at ease trusting Dakota with her. This year, we went on a two‑week vacation to Italy, and Ana stayed in our home to care for Dakota the entire time. Not a single walk or medication was missed, and Dakota was loved and cared for as if she were Ana's own pet. I will always trust Ana with Dakota’s care and would confidently trust her with any pets we have in the future. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Jaxx was great with my two pups. She was caring and attentive to their needs. This is the first time I’ve hired her to walk my pups and she did a great job. Reliable, responsive and tender, especially with my 18 yr old Bichon Frise. Ollie, my Cockapoo, loved the belly rubs. Will definitely hire her again!
