About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs ever since I was little. I would say I’m knowledgeable on dog training and have a lot of experience with all different types of dogs. I love to walk and pet pups so hopefully we can be good match!! I’m currently working part-time in the afternoon (3-6) so I have lots of free time to check in or walk your pet. I have owned Goldens my entire life so training a high-energy dog is something I’m experienced in. I’m all about creating a safe and enriching environment for dogs, so I’m open to adapting to your pets daily routine.
“Velvet did an amazing job for us. We have a cat who recently started wearing diapers, and she handled him very well. Our other cat is very shy around new people, but she even came out for Velvet sometimes. I would definitely use her as a sitter again.”
“Meghan was great! She took care of our little Rosie, who I am sure missed us, with love and care. This was our first time using Rover. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend Meghan.”

“I am very happy and impressed with Ashley. She took great care of my cat and fish. I really appreciate that she also played with my cat and washed his food dishes. I highly recommend Ashley!”

“Dawn was so caring and attentive to my cat's needs. He has epilepsy and requires meds twice a day. I have a lot of anxiety about leaving him, but Dawn really took care of him and came twice a day to give him his meds and spend time with him. She also wrote whenever he used the litter box, drank water, and ate food. I definitely recommend her to anyone who has cats with medication needs.”

About: I have had a pup since I was born and have three at the moment! I have learned how to help them through the puppy stage and through the elderly dog one! I have been relied on to watch, walk, and bathe dogs around my neighborhood as well! I am currently a full time student here in Indy but with the summer time upon us I am free for drop in visits, walks, and housesitting when needed! I am happy to come anytime of day you and your furry friends may need! I am able to help clean around the house and make sure your dog is safe, while also having a loving fun time hanging out! I’m always able to let the dogs out when needed, feed them, and give them the attention they may need when their own parents aren’t there! I am a retired high school athlete as well so i’m always happy to get out of the house for a walk or even a slight jog!
“Collette is such a lovely dog person. She immediately greeted Abbey with ear rubs that led to belly rubs. I highly recommend Collette as long as you dont need her when Abbey and I need her.”

“Rachel did a great job with my two cats. She took care of their meals, medicine, and cleaned up when they threw up or left the litter area messy. She was very communicative and always let me know if she noticed anything with them that I might need to know about. I would definitely book Rachel again!”

“Sophie did a wonderful job caring for our two cats! She was thorough and asked questions when necessary. She tried to engage both of our cats each day, which we appreciated. She even gave us a gift to come home to, which was really sweet!”

“Isabel was a dream come true. From the very first contact, she was pleasant, caring, and very responsive. Our two dogs got two daily feeding visits and walked while we were away for ten days. She treated our fur babies as if they were her own, always reassuring, kind, and consistent. She provided us with additional complimentary services such as watering the plants, bringing in the mail, and cleaning and mopping the basement due to daily bathroom accidents. When the fireworks got bad, she made an effort to stay beyond the time allocation to soothe the babies. She treated one of our puppies scrape on her nose with daily care and attention. While away, we got detailed daily reports in real-time and plenty of pictures of our pups eating, walking, and playing. We are so happy to have met Isabel, someone our dogs love and trust while we travel. We look forward to using her services again in the near future.”

“Emily was very efficient and went above and beyond to make sure I had peace of mind while away. I will most definitely be requesting her services the next time I go on vacation!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oakbrook Terrace
Rachel did an amazing job with checking in on my 2 cats and providing detailed updates! She was able to quickly gain the trust of one of my cats that’s extremely shy to the point she was letting Rachel pet her. Rachel was also flexible with the meeting times and check ins.

Jennevy was really amazing with our cat MuShu, He is only affectionate with his parents, and will tolerate others, and warmed up to her gentle approach very quickly. She took all of my suggestions and advice and directions on how to make our 16 year old grumpy baby comfortable, and was very kind and thoughtful and responsive to every single thing I said (and it was a LOT :) She checked in with photos and even fed our outdoor squirrel friends nuts when I saw on the cameras they were at our back door waiting for us, but we were gone! Her and MuShu would watch the squirrels just like we do. It was great to work with Jennevy she was kind, thoughtful and trustworthy and I would definitely like to have her back again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oakbrook Terrace. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
