“Veronika took excellent care of my cat while my family was out of town. She spent time with my pet and administered medicine daily - not an easy task with my cat! - and it was wonderful to know my furry family member was in good hands. ❤️”

“Ann was amazing with Dwight this Summer. He's a very skiddish anxious boy but she did great with him and he looked forward to her visits. She wasn't intimidated because she also has a border collie mix so I thought this was the perfect match! She also gave my kitties some attention during her visits and even my most shy kitty warmed up to her! She watched my pets during a very stressful time in my life and didn't judge me for the disaster my house was in during the moving process and was always very supportive. She's genuinely a very nice and thoughtful person. I'm so lucky we found her!”

“Jayme is the best! She is always so communicative and great with our dog Reggie. He absolutely loves whenever she comes over to play with or walk him. Highly recommend Jayme to anyone who wants their dog to have a great time and be well cared for while they’re away.”

“So great with our girl! She took great care of her, gave her lots of love and so many pics and updates. Definitely would recommend as we had never left our dog before like this and will definitely be using Sam again if we need help!”

“We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!”

“Stephanie is great! She’s goes above and beyond for your pets and their safety. Our remote garage closer wasn’t working so she drove back to manually close it. Extremely grateful for her professionalism and kindness.”

“Megan has helped us twice now to check in on our kitties while we’ve been out of town. She has excellent communication and really takes genuine care to make sure our cats are doing well. Highly recommended! :-)”

“Melanie is awesome! She and our cat Ruxin got along great. Melanie went above and beyond when caring for our pet and the daily updates definitely made us feel like our cat was in good hands.”

“Lauren is incredible! She gave detailed updates, went above and beyond what we asked for in the care routine, and clearly sincerely cared for our very nervous cat. I'd give her ten stars if I could!”

“Michelle is absolutely amazing and does a great job. She has been taken care of Tyson for a very long time. I feel completely comfortable with her in and out of my home when I am not there. Tyson loves her and that is the main thing. She’s respectable of your home and she’s very on-time and professional. Out of all the Rovers I’ve used Michelle is absolutely hands-down my favorite.”

About: I’ve cared for animals since I was young, starting with my own family’s dogs and eventually helping care for pets around my neighborhood. My passion for animal care led me to earn a B.S. in Animal Science with a focus on Companion Animals from the University of Minnesota. During my time there, I held animal care positions at three different zoological institutions, including Brookfield Zoo. I’m excited for the opportunity to care for your pets and provide a safe, happy, and enriching experience, whether it’s during a walk or a home visit! I am currently working part-time so I look forward to playing with your pets! Right now I have more availability than usual and can handle several walks or check-ins during the day! I have a car and am able to drive to and from your home. I will follow all instructions when it comes to caring for your pets. You know what is best for your own furry friends. Every animal is special and some need more attentions than others. I look forward to getting to learn about your fur-baby’s quarks!
“Grace did an amazing job watching my two dogs. We’ve already had her watch them twice. She kept me updated the entire time on how they were doing. I’ll definitely reach out to her again the next time I need someone to take great care of my boys.”

About: I'm an active animal lover who loves the company of dogs. I've grown up surrounded by animals-- two chihuahuas and a french bulldog. I am a Stanford student who is unfortunately unable to live with a pet due to dorm restraints, which makes me even more excited to spend time with yours! I am a student with a car and a very flexible schedule. I have no problem coming to your house frequently to provide all the care your pet(s) need! I abide by the rules and routines set by the pet owner to ensure the pets feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in my care. I follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any specific instructions related to medications, grooming, or behavioral needs to create the best experience possible!
About: As a devoted pet mom to two cats and two dogs, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving. I am comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of affection. I treat every pet with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I am available for drop-in visits on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. With advance notice, I can also accommodate special schedules and multiple visits per day. I will carefully follow your pet’s usual routine and all instructions provided. During each visit, I will make sure food and water are fresh, doors and windows are secure, and your pet feels safe and comfortable. I will also send photos and updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Cameron went above and beyond for our little Stewart. She always sent us lots of photos and we could tell he really enjoyed the attention while we were away. This was our first time using Rover and now we’re wondering why we didn’t use this service earlier. We will definitely be booking Cameron if/when we leave town again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clarendon Hills
Sam helped me out when I went out of town for 5 days and watched my two bunnies for me! She was great very friendly, had no issues and she listened to my request and sent me updates of how my bunnies were doing, she gave me reassurance and she gained my trust and would definitely be booking her again in the future!

It was my first time using Rover and it definitely will not be the last. My pet sitter Jayme was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly organized, punctual, and showed such care and love to Sterling and Silver. Jayme always had a thoughtful recap message, took great pictures, and made my cats feel special and comfortable despite my absence. I am a big fan of Rover because of JAYME! Scott Young

Megan is the best! She has watched our two dogs, two cats and leopard gecko multiple times. She is super reliable, very communicative, and just a delight with the animals. My only hesitation in writing this review is that she will book up and won’t be available for our numerous last minute requests!

As always, Veronika went above and beyond for our boy. He recently got diagnosed with asthma, and before this trip, since she previously had not worked with an asthma kitty, she came over to learn how to give our cat his inhaler, and from what I have heard, he tolerated her giving him his inhaler twice a day very well. She is always so gentle with him and he loves her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clarendon Hills. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
