“Shirley is without a a doubt the best sitter we’ve ever had. It’s clear she truly cares about animals with her whole heart and treats every time she sits our pup as if he were her own. We keep coming back to Shirley again and again because of how easily she relieves us of any worry about how our pup is doing, and how happy he is to be with her while we’re gone. We highly recommend her for any type of service, and especially boarding in her home!”

“Lisa and her family was amazing! They treated my dog with a lot of love, and he definitely loves to spend time with them! Their kids are really lovely and played with with my dog too!”

“I was apprehensive leaving my rescue dog for the very first time in the nearly one year we've been together, but Phyllis and Greg were absolutely wonderful hosts and made the entire experience stress-free. They were warm and friendly and provided a calm environment. Great communication. They'll be my dog's new home-away-from-home.”

“Michelle is a LIFE SAVER! After Elmhurst Animal Hospital wrongfully canceled my boarding reservations at the last minute, I scrambled to find someone to watch my 3 small dogs. I found Michelle and she was quick to respond and accept my fur babies for the stay! Michelle and her 2 little girls took AMAZING care of them, sending update reports and pics too. This gave me peace of mind that they were being well cared for! Michelle was also very accommodating when I needed to drop them off early than originally scheduled. I will definitely be utilizing Michelle's services again in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and Justine and Brett were great! It looks like my doggo had a good time, and I felt very secure leaving him with Justine and Brett. I got photos every day, and it looked like he was having a blast. My flight home got delayed, and J&B were gracious and flexible. I’ll for sure use them again for dog care.”

“Amazing! Highly recommend Connie. She sent me pictures of Bruno and also has a amazing fenced backyard. Her dog was also adorable and got along with Bruno really well.”

“Absolutely fantastic, took great care of my boy. Kept him busy with activities and me updated with photos. When he was ignoring food, they made him chicken to make sure he ate. 10/5, highly recommended.”

“My dog Bodie had an excellent time and spent the entire time playing with his dogs. He was exhausted when I picked him up after his stay which is always a great sign! I would 100% recommend having Tyler take care of your dog. Great communication and plenty of pictures throughout the stay.”
“My original dog sitter notified me she was sick with Covid the day I was supposed to drop my dog off. I was in a bind to try to find someone. Frances was wonderful and so responsive during the entire booking process, seamless drop off/pickup and sent me updates throughout the stay. I will be booking again for a future trip and highly recommend her!”
“Excellent hosts! The communication was top notch. I received daily updates with a photo of my dog. I was completely comfortable leaving my dog in their charge. My dog had a positive experience with Amanda and Anton. I definitely would book again with this pet loving family!”

“Wonderful having Veronika as our sitter for our cats. During the recent cold weather/snow storm she could not get in one day and came back on her own time to check on the cats!”

“Jayme did a wonderful job with my cat, Cheddar. She was able to give him his medicine easily, and I think he really liked her a lot based on the photos she sent. She was very responsive when we needed to communicate and she sent lots of photos. I will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

“John was wonderful with our energetic boxer puppy! I highly recommend him. When we came home, she greeted us with excitement and love as usual. Then she ran around our house looking for her new friend, John!”

“Isabel is SO thorough with how she cares for Greyleigh. She cleans the bowls everyday, she even sweeps around the litter box. We couldn’t ask for a more caring and generous sitter.”

About: My roommate for the last year had two cats and they spent most of their time hanging out in my room - I played, fed, and cared for them every day. I also have worked at a vet clinic and volunteered in the cat room at the animal shelter so I have been around cats of all different temperaments and ages!
“Rebooked with Sam for the 3rd time! Grateful she was available again and will continue to use her for our boys! Last time our cat Gary was disappointed when we walked in the door and not Sam. 😂”

About: I’ve been caring for cats since I was young, and they’ve always held a special place in my heart. My first cat-sitting experiences began at 12 years old, checking in on neighbors’ and family members’ cats, cleaning litter boxes, feeding, and spending quality time with them. Over the span of multiple years, I’ve expanded that experience to caring for cats with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. My experience includes administering medications in both pill and food form (and finding creative ways to help even the most stubborn cats take them), caring for senior cats—including cats nearly 20 years old—as well as kittens under two months old. I’m experienced with litter box maintenance, play and enrichment, monitoring health and behavior, and helping shy, anxious, or temperamental cats feel comfortable and secure through patience and positive interactions. I currently have two cats of my own who are cherished members of my family, and I’m regularly surrounded by family members with 3+ cat households. I genuinely love spending time with cats of all ages and personalities, and I strive to make every visit a calm, enriching, and stress-free experience for both you and your feline companion.
“Lauren was an absolutely stellar pet sitter and went above and beyond in making sure our kitties were well cared for when we were on vacation. Would absolutely recommend and use her again!”

“Ann was just fantastic taking car of my cat Addison. I can't thank you enough for the ease of mind and not worring while I was out of town. Ann sent pictures with each visit. I will definitely book Ann again when I go away. Thanks again.”

“I'm SO grateful for Lauren. I have a small puppy - still house training and chewing everything. Lauren took so much care to puppy proof her space and went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable. I could tell she genuinely enjoyed having Scout in her home and Scout LOVES her. I'm so so grateful❤️”

“Michelle is amazing, the absolute best! I felt so comfortable leaving my pup with her. She is extremely patient and accommodating. When I was late on pickup due to my crazy hours as a nurse, she was extremely sweet and flexible. My puppy is young and still learning and she was very adaptable with her. I love that my pup was able to socialize with her little ones which allowed her to have fun while getting some energy out. I’m so happy to have found someone that loved and cared for my girl as much as I do! I highly recommend her and will be using her again for daycare!”

About: I've owned and taken care of all kinds of animals since I was a little girl. From birds, to cats and dogs, to horses, and even snakes, big or small I love em all! I'm a travel bartender that works different music festivals all across the country. Now that season has come to a close, I couldn't think of a better way to fill my newly empty schedule than caring for your furry loved ones! I have one cat and one dog who is kennel trained. I walk my dog a minimum of twice a day in my quaint suburban neighborhood and my cat is very good with other animals.
“Elizabeth was very nice, she updated me and sent me a pic of my puppy while she took care of him. It sounded like my pup Oso had a great time with her son Leo. I would book her again.”

“Lisa and her family were absolutely wonderful! She was very communicative from start to finish and consistently kept me updated throughout the day. I would highly recommend Lisa and would definitely book with her again!”

“Phyllis and Greg, are wonderful dog sitters! They have a lot of experience with dogs and a beautiful park right out front of their house that the dogs walk in. Sugar loved it there and was so happy to see them at her first return visit.”

“We are very thankful Ingrida agreed to watch our 3 month old Dachshund pup at the last minute! He seemed to be happy and calm when we picked him up, and smelling fresh too. We brought him back to her for a few hours the next day and he was happy to see her again. Thanks Ingrida!”

“Maureen is absolutely the best! We were in Chicago for a wedding and needed someone to take care of our Bernedoodle — my whole world — while we were there, and she was amazing. I only wish I lived closer because I would use her all the time! Thank you, Maureen! Mocha says thank you too! She truly was such a blessing, and I give her my highest recommendation.”

“Jill and Nick have a very nice home. They were gracious to accommodate my last minute booking. Chago enjoyed his stay and we highly recommend them. Will use again when in the area.”

About: I have spent my life caring for others—as a registered nurse, mom, and lifelong animal lover. My nursing background has taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to provide calm, compassionate care, which I bring to every pet I meet. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your pup needs long walks, playtime, extra cuddles, medication reminders, or just a calm and reassuring presence while you’re away, I will care for them like part of my own family. I have owned dogs for 30 years...chihuahuas, terriers, a beagle, lab and Aussie mixes. I’m especially comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention, including puppies learning routines, shy or anxious dogs who need patience, and senior pets who may require gentler care. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, loved, and happy—and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. As a school nurse, I have a flexible summer schedule that allows me to spend lots of time at home providing attentive, personalized care. I’m available for walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping your dog’s normal routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities. As a registered nurse, I understand the importance of being attentive and dependable. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family with a calm, loving environment, plenty of attention, supervised play, walks, and time to relax. I make sure dogs have a safe space to feel comfortable and follow their usual routines as closely as possible.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them! I currently have an 8-year-old pug who’s a beloved member of the family. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and gentle care. I understand how important it is to give each dog the attention, love, and routine they’re used to, and I treat every pup like one of my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy incorporating dogs into my everyday life. I love going on long walks and having a furry companion by my side, whether we're exploring the neighborhood or just relaxing on the couch for some snuggles. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give dogs the attention, exercise, and care they deserve throughout the day. I strive to create a home environment that is safe, comfortable, and stress-free for dogs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I make sure they feel secure, loved, and part of the family. I also place a strong emphasis on healthy, nutritious eating and always follow the pet parent’s guidance when it comes to diet and feeding routines. Every dog has unique needs, and I do my best to meet them with kindness, attention, and consistency.
“I can’t thank enough Neelank and his wife to take so much good care of Snoopy on Thanksgiving. Snoopy was spoiled all day, had a blast outside and indoor with their 2 dogs Porter & Oliver. Neelank and his wife were very flexible for the drop-off/pick-up time at their place. They have sent me a lot of pictures from Snoopy playing and having such a good time. I definitely recommend them as a 5 stars daycare. Thank you so much for caring for Snoopy like he was your own dog !”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. At the age of 18 I started to watch family friends dogs in their homes while house sitting and they relied on me to keep everything going. I am a mom to twins we had a dog but it was older. We are not ready for another dog yet but I need doggies in my life. I am an event planner full time but when I am working events my wife helps out with the dogs. Dogs in our home is like a therapy to both our kids that have social anxiety and sensory needs. I have a large fenced in yard and an open house so your dog can run free. I am willing to crate your dog if needed or to your liking. My parents dog loves to come visit if your dog loves play dates.
“Second time benefiting from Christina’s care of our doodle and the third experience is already booked! So much peace of mind knowing our pup is in good hands. Thanks Christina and fam!”

“This was the first time we used Destiny, and we’re very happy with how well she treated Ottis on his visit. He immediately made himself at home, cuddled up to her and went to sleep! That’s the strongest endorsement I can give! Also, she was a pleasure to deal with. We had plans in the city and didn’t know exactly when we’d be back, and she was very accommodating to our schedule to pick him up. We’ll definitely use her again the next time we have plans and can’t take the Fur Baby with us!”

“I got my buddy last June 20th and out of the blue I got a trip out of the state for three days...so hard to decide whom could be the one to provide good care of a vizsla that not even you know enough...well, Mr Ken did that and even went beyond that! My hyper dog was incredible happy with him and even learned some orders that didn't knew before. He sent to me pics and videos while I was out and even gave " Pavarotti " his favorite toy during staying with him. So highly recommend! I do take care of human beings in the oncology and renal unit of Aurora Condell Hospital in Libertyville and believe is easy for me to recognize expertise in a care giver. Ken is a Pro! Ah! This guy is bilingual with Spanish as a second language!”

“Katie was GREAT! We set up a meet and great, which went great! Katie was super communicative and sent us a lot of pictures! We definitely felt like our dog was in good hands and had a great time!”

“Veronika is a very reliable person. She is so sweet to my Freddy. Thank very much for your willingness to accommodate us in to your schedule in a super short notice.”

“John was wonderful with both our dogs! He was on time, got to know them first, and won them over very quickly. Even our older dog who is very skittish took to John immediately for a walk this week. Would highly recommend!”

“Ryann is conscientious, thorough and friendly. Our Border Collie loves her! She takes her on lovely walks and gives me a thorough report afterwards. She was great even when it was pouring rain ! We'll be asking her back frequently!”

About: I’ve helped care for my own dog for ~6 years. I also often help look after my neighbors’ and friends’ pets. A couple years ago I worked at a vet clinic and was around dogs of all temperaments, ages, and sizes. I am home for the summer from college (until mid/late August) and I have lots of availability each day of the week. I am incredibly willing to work around your schedule! I have a large fenced back yard and an older, very friendly 60 pound Australian shepherd who loves to meet and play with other dogs!
About: Since the day I was born I’ve been surrounded by animals. Everything from chickens and ducks to cats and dogs to even reptiles!! I’ve always been trusted to watch the animals because I believe animals love me as much as I love them!! I currently attend online school so I am free 100% of the time to help. Let me know if I can help with your fur baby! I live in an apartment with a small back yard, but my courtyard is very grassy and open with plenty of room for your pup to run around. I have a cat named Haven and she’s fed twice a day. She is good with dogs but does take awhile to warm up to them
About: Raised with dogs and trusted for over 4 years of pet sitting. Dependable, caring, and committed to providing attentive, safe, and responsible pet care services. Current home-from-college student looking for extra work with open availability during the week for dog walks, pop-ins, and house sitting anytime after 9am. Available weekends 10am–8pm for dog walks and pop-ins as needed. Just a heads up, I will be returning to school in August and no longer available for services :) I treat every home and pet with respect, following all instructions carefully. I maintain routines, give lots of attention, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
About: I’ve lived with and helped care for my family’s cats throughout my life, and dogs since we adopted our first in 2016. Since childhood, I’ve enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors whenever I’ve had the opportunity to do so. I’ve mainly looked after cats and dogs, but I’ve also taken care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and a couple of different types of lizards when I was younger. I have some experience with training my family’s pets, and lots of experience with giving love to animals of all kinds! I donate 5% of my profits from each Rover booking towards humane societies and animal rescue organizations. Since I’m currently a student and don’t have a full-time job, the remainder of the money I make on Rover is set aside and used to afford care for my own cat :) During the school year, I’m a full-time student at the University of Vermont and, when I’m not in classes or doing Rover visits, I’m often spending time with my own cat! I spend summers, and most other school breaks, at home with my family in IL. This summer will be my third year working part-time as an inclusion aid for children with disabilities and special needs in summer camps. My weekday mornings are spent there, but the rest of my schedule is more flexible, so I’m looking forward to doing more afternoon and evening Rover visits! I recognize that every animal is unique and has their own wants and needs, and it’s important to me to ensure that your pet is as comfortable, happy, and healthy as they can be while you’re away! I’m happy to follow any instructions you have to care for your pet and your home. If there are any particular precautions you want me to take, or if there’s anything else I can help out with (e.g. bringing in mail, putting out trash cans, etc.) while you’re away, just ask!
About: My goals is always to give the pet the best care possible. I have taken care of pets that have special needs such as assisting with walking with a harness, medication administration, as much TLC as they need. I am an absolute animal lover and my goal is to achieve trust, with the pet parent and the pet. Also, to provide the best care as though they were my own. I currently work as an oral surgeons assistant, and my hours change each week. I’m open for walks or sits throughout the week with boarding on the weekends. I am very flexible with the pet parents needs! I always establish trust with the pet first, they need to feel comfortable first and for most. And I make sure that the pet is on the leash prior to leaving and or starting a walk. If I am boarding I have a fenced in back yard along with a very loving French Chow to keep your pet company. If need be she can always spend time elsewhere in the home if you are not comfortable with you’re pet being around another pet.
“Morgan and John were lifesavers taking our chompy little puppy for a nice long walk to burn some energy in the middle of the day when we had to return back to work full time. We’ll definitely be using them again!”

About: my family rescued our first (adult) cat off the streets when i was in 5th grade, and i’ve been dedicated to helping cats (and other animals) as much as possible since then. two of our cats were brothers (one of them passed away at age 12 in 2022 + the other we had to put down at age 15 in july 2025) — we rescued them right before they were about to put them to sleep because no one was taking them when they were less than a year old — i was in 7th/8th grade. the other two were a mother and kitten daughter, i was a sophomore in high school. my current + only cat is 4 years old, my manager’s cousin was looking to give her kitten away because she didn’t have time to take care of her, and at the time i still had one of the brothers who was very lonely, so i took her in at the end of 2022. because i have experienced having 3 females and 2 males in the same household for 4-5 years, i understand the importance of measures needed to be taken to introduce new pets, keeping peace, and how to break up fights before they start or as they start. i’ve had cats who have dealt with/have helped them out with the following: having cancer, giving birth, stage four kidney disease, feline aids, ear infections/ear mites, saddle thrombus, open wounds, eye colds, some sicknesses, soothing distressed animals, giving baths, brushing teeth, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, distracting cats, feeding them, cuddling, minimal/medium level grooming, cats going through heat (the mother & daughter both weren’t neutered for a bit - some of my old stuffed animals will never be the same) and many more things. my sister has a cattle herding dog that i’ve babysat whenever she comes into town - many times when he was a puppy — so in terms of dogs, my experience is: dealing with teething, playtime, going on walks/picking up any poop, taking him out for bathroom breaks, feeding, training (with instructions given by owner), soothing anxious dogs, dogs that jump, anxious barking/anxious energy, puppies with separation anxiety, distracting dogs, cuddling, and minimal grooming. i am happy to bring your pet to and from vet appointments, as long as the location is within a 10-15 mile radius and they are relatively easy to get into their carrier. i can take care of dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, reptiles, hamsters, chinchillas — basically any animal aside from snakes and spiders, i’m happy to take care of! i have an enormous amount of love for animals and although they are very smart + capable, i feel a personal responsibility to help them and care for them, especially when they can’t do it themselves. listening to animals and their verbal/physical cues, along with noticing and respecting the boundaries they have, is so important. i’ve also: helped friends walk their dogs, feed them, soothe them, distract them, and bathe them. i also have experience with taking injured birds into wildlife conservatories. i do not have experience with taking care of senior dogs, but i do have experience with taking care of senior cats. as of 2025, i have experienced dealing with the death of four of our cats (we had to give the fourth one away after a few years - we couldn't afford to have her neutered, and we decided it would be better for her well being if she was able to have owners who could do that for her), so it's given me an immense understanding of how important it is to give pets all the love, affection, care, keeping them safe, keeping them healthy, etc needed. Although, I am sad that we're down to just one cat now, who I love very much, being able to take care of other cats helps keep life from feeling too empty, and gives me a chance to continue giving my love to animals. clients who choose to continue booking with me get locked in prices — this means that the cost you paid per visit after your second booking gets locked in and doesn’t change, even if i increase my per drop in visit cost. this became implemented in September of 2023 — if you’re a client who has been booking with me prior to September, your prices are already locked in. if you begin booking with me post-September 2023, you’ll need to book me at least two times in order to get locked in prices. i find that working with the same pets consistently allows them to feel more comfortable and safe and allows me to build a good relationship with clients, as well. I currently am taking online classes at College of DuPage, so that is a very flexible aspect of my schedule. I also have a part time job as an Interior Design Assistant that I have a set schedule for, so that shouldn’t cause any issues. I work Tuesdays and Thursdays for the majority of the day, but am able to do drop in visits at night. I occasionally work Saturdays as well, but can do afternoon and night drop in visits on those days. With that being said, I prefer to have at least 1-2 weeks notice in advance when booking visits to ensure time for doing a meet and greet. I do not book drop in visits without doing a meet and greet first. Meet and greets are my vetting process to ensure safety for myself, any potential clients, and your lovely pet(s). It also allows us to go over any instructions, me receiving keys/codes/etc, and gives your pet(s) a chance to get a feel of me with their owner around so they feel safer when seeing me for the first time and it is less of a surprise to them when I arrive for any actual bookings. I'm not a morning person, so I prefer to do afternoon and evening drop ins, that way I can ensure that I can do the drop ins at the time we've agreed on, but am willing to do late mornings (starting at 11/11:30 am). to get this aspect out of the way -- when doing meet and greets, i bring my mom with me for my own safety. i hope any owner who wants to work with me is okay with that. i also occasionally bring her with me to do evening drop ins, if/when owners are okay with it (she likes hanging out with pets lol). every cat i’ve done a drop in for always loves her immediately - i’m convinced they can sense the mom in her, and they're drawn to that. she is also willing to substitute for me and do drop in visits whenever have a work shift that i cannot change, as long as it's also okay with the pet owner. i don’t host animals in my home overnight -- although we only have one cat now, she is very territorial and anxious. while i would love for her to have a friend to play with, i would not risk the safety of your pet or mine. at a client’s home, i would of course respect any boundaries they have in terms of where they want their pet and where they don’t want them, what they can and cannot do, etc. i would prefer to be given a list of instructions of rooms they’re not allowed in, activities they enjoy, if the litter box needs to be cleaned out, if one pet is particularly anxious or needs me to sit there with them while they eat (my cat needs me to pet him while he eats), things they like and things they don’t like, etc. i like communication to be as clear and thorough as possible, so i can do the best job and keep clients and pets as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible and to help build trust. in terms of administering any type of liquid medicine like eye drops or oral medicine, i would prefer to solely do drop ins in the evening, so i can take my mom with me for help. whenever we administered liquid medicine, but specifically the two examples i mentioned above, it's always been a two person job.

“Absolutely fantastic, took great care of my boy. Kept him busy with activities and me updated with photos. When he was ignoring food, they made him chicken to make sure he ate. 10/5, highly recommended.”
