“Evan left fantastic photos and updates every visit - my cat seemed very happy with her visiting. I loved reading each update and seeing her check-ins. I felt very safe leaving my cat in her care. Thank you!! 😊”

“I’d give Ashton 10/5 stars if I could… this was my first time booking with her and I honestly could not be more impressed with her updates, communication, and problem solving. Thank you, thank you, Ashton!”

“Stephanie was wonderful! She sent photos of Cricket’s food and water bowls each visit and kept her litter box clean. Although Cricket hid the entire time, I felt extremely comfortable trusting Stephanie with her. I will definitely book with Stephanie again :)”

“Veronika took excellent care of my cat while my family was out of town. She spent time with my pet and administered medicine daily - not an easy task with my cat! - and it was wonderful to know my furry family member was in good hands. ❤️”

“Isabel blew me away with how detailed her reports were and with how thoroughly she documented her visits! She took great care to give my cats as much attention as they wanted and to do all of the dumb little chores that come along with having older pets. She pilled my old girl like a champ, handled litter without complaints, and reported sightings of my invisi-cat that doesn't like to show herself for strangers. Working with her was easy and made me feel safe leaving my fur babies for a long weekend. Thanks, Isabel!”
“Jayme was our first experience with Rover and we had such a wonderful first experience! From our first meet and greet with our pup you could instantly tell she cares about the quality of care she provides to your animals. With each check in I was confident our dog was in great hands, our dog can take some time to warm up to someone new and she was instantly able to win him over. We can’t wait to have her back soon!”

“John was wonderful with our energetic boxer puppy! I highly recommend him. When we came home, she greeted us with excitement and love as usual. Then she ran around our house looking for her new friend, John!”

“Great drop-in visit! Our pup was well cared for, and it was such a relief knowing she was in good hands while we were away. We loved receiving the updates and photos. Thank you for taking such great care of her—we’d definitely book again!”

“Sam was so amazing with our dogs. We tried her for the first time on Rover and we will definitely use her again. She is knowledgeable, is prompt, on time and communicates very well. Sam took great care of our dogs and we are so happy we found her.”

“Melanie took great care of my two cats while I was away. I came home to calm, happy cats who clearly got plenty of attention and consistency. Her updates were thoughtful and personal, and it was clear she understood their different personalities. When I got back, they were settled instead of anxious — even a little better behaved than usual. I really appreciated that level of care and awareness. I’ll absolutely be booking her again for future trips. Highly recommend.”

“Megan came to our home today for a meet and greet. Liked her right away. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and really took the time to ask a lot of questions about our dog. Her knowledge and passion for animals really shows! She took a lot of photos during her visit with Zoe and took the time to play with her and hang out. It was a joy to know our fur baby was taken care of and in good hands. We have found our new sitter from here on out! Thanks Megan! I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve grown up caring for all sorts of animals. I also foster cats/kittens and a dog. I also volunteer and work with both cats and dogs at my designated shelters so I have experience working with different sizes and temperaments. I have a strong love for all species of animals. I have experience training dogs with basic commands and socializing them. I currently am a part time nanny. So until 10am I am busy with that and then I have travel softball as well. I love animals so much and want to help people out by being a trusting individual to take care of their animals! I have experience with crating dogs as well as leashing dogs who may be so excited to walk that they are difficult to leash. I enjoy caring for animals in the safety of their own home so they are more comfortable.
About: I've owned and taken care of all kinds of animals since I was a little girl. From birds, to cats and dogs, to horses, and even snakes, big or small I love em all! I'm a travel bartender that works different music festivals all across the country. Now that season has come to a close, I couldn't think of a better way to fill my newly empty schedule than caring for your furry loved ones! I have one cat and one dog who is kennel trained. I walk my dog a minimum of twice a day in my quaint suburban neighborhood and my cat is very good with other animals.
“This was the second time Lauren watched our cat while we were away. For each of the three visits she spent plenty of time with him and sent lots of pictures with a good update. We are very thankful for her care for our Grover and will book again.”

“Lauren is exceptional. We were very comfortable with her watching Coco for a long weekend getaway. It was the first time our dog was home without us. She did a great job. She kept us informed and sent pictures to ease our mind. Thanks Lauren see you next time. Jimmy”

About: Our family has had a dog for over 20 years. So I have experience caring for them and walking them and working with difficult and reactive dogs as well. Our family has also owned a cat in the past for 15 years so I have experience with all kinds of cats. Difficult ones included. I have cat sat in the past as well for 3 cats I am currently free during the week and weekend at any point. I can do a morning walk, afternoon or evening. I can dog sit as well with a few days notice. I take my own dog on at least 3 walks a day for at least 15 20 minutes. So I'll have no problem walking another dog for any amount of time. I treat my dog with love but also discipline. She knows her basic commands
About: I've taken care of dogs since I've been able to drive, along with owning dogs all my life! I enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them and comforting them when their owners are away! I also volunteer at the Weat Suburban Humane Society! I'm pretty flexible with hours, Mondays and Tuesdays are the only days of the week that I can't walk dogs during the day, however late afternoon still works! I have extra leashes, harnesses and creates if needed, but will treat anything with respect and care as if it were mine own. I'm flexible to a range of schedules and dog personalities

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Westmont
Ashton was exactly the person we were looking for to trust with our boys while we were away. We truly couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and we've definitely found our go-to from now on. It's obvious that she genuinely loves caring for animals, and the entire week went as smoothly as we could have hoped. We 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy.

Hande has always been consistently amazing and we can rest assured that she takes fantastic care of our cats. I can keep talking about everything she diligently does, but I feel the greatest compliment that I can give her is the fact that our cats are always excited to see her!

It was my first time using Rover and it definitely will not be the last. My pet sitter Jayme was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly organized, punctual, and showed such care and love to Sterling and Silver. Jayme always had a thoughtful recap message, took great pictures, and made my cats feel special and comfortable despite my absence. I am a big fan of Rover because of JAYME! Scott Young

Megan is the best! She has watched our two dogs, two cats and leopard gecko multiple times. She is super reliable, very communicative, and just a delight with the animals. My only hesitation in writing this review is that she will book up and won’t be available for our numerous last minute requests!

As always, Veronika went above and beyond for our boy. He recently got diagnosed with asthma, and before this trip, since she previously had not worked with an asthma kitty, she came over to learn how to give our cat his inhaler, and from what I have heard, he tolerated her giving him his inhaler twice a day very well. She is always so gentle with him and he loves her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
