“This was my first time having our dog stay with someone other than family and Jo’Ell made it so easy for us! We received pictures every day and our dog came home happy, well rested and well fed. We will book again in the future.”

“Justine and Brett welcomed our dog into their home and treated her with incredible care and attention. Our dog loves kids and to be in the mix of everything and everyone - this was the happiest and most relaxed she’s ever been going or coming back while we’ve been away. Excellent communication at every step - we could really tell that they love to care for dogs! We hope Munro can stay with them again!”

“We had a great experience with Tamara! She is very communicative, responsive, and flexible when needed. Winnie and Otis loved playing with Maggie. You can trust your pets will be in good care with Tamara!”

“Super thoughtful and experience with dogs. Sent videos and updates and was flexible when we needed to pick our dog up later than expected. Beautifully maintained home and neighborhood.”

“I couldn't be happier with how things went leaving Dolce with Christina and her family. I have boarded my dog at kennels before and have always had some issue when I returned, not this time. I could tell she was happy and felt at home with Christina and her family. Would highly recommend Christina to anyone.”

“Barbara is an absolutely amazing person! So kind and caring! You can tell how much she loves animals and really treated mine with amazing love. I needed somebody at the last minute, for a work trip, to watch my 16-year-old Bichon with many health issues and medications. She readily accepted and had zero issues providing him the care that he needed. He quickly settled into her place, next to her own dogs. Lots of very cute photos throughout my one day trip! Communication with Barbara was easy, timely, and she was incredibly flexible when I needed to change things up on her a little bit at the last minute. I look forward to using Barbara in the future!”

“Linda has been so wonderful with my dog. She kept updating me and sending me pictures. She treated my dog as if her own. Peanut seemed to be well at home with Linda and Daisy. I couldn't expect better treatment. I would recommend her for anyone. Thanks Linda!!!”

“I had to cut my trip short and Michelle was very accommodating. Louie was completely worn out when we got home so he must’ve had lots of play time while visiting. I will definitely book with Michelle again.”

“Sarah was great. She took very good care of my dog and cat and kept me updated with photos and recaps of their activities. She obviously loves animals and I felt my boys were very safe in her care--I recommend her highly.”

“Shirley was absolutely amazing with our older pup! He had an amazing time. Shirley went above and beyond to make sure our pups needs were met and that he was happy. She sent pictures and videos and gave us updates regularly. Shirley was the best! Would use her again and would definitely recommend her to others!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Mary! They were attentive, reliable, and genuinely cared for my furry friend. My dog seemed happy and well cared for when we returned. I appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind during the time away. I highly recommend her services and will definitely use Mary again in the future.”

“Denise is an excellent pup caregiver! She is knowledgeable about dog care and did execptionally well with our puppymill rescue Maggie who is usually very timid and shy. Maggie took to Denise right away and was kissing her hand and going to her for pets and ear rubs during our meet and greet. Maggie's tale was wagging in the update photos sent and she ate and took her meds without any issues. I highly recommend Denise and will definitely use her again!”

“Izzy was wonderful! I was very nervous about leaving Gerdoo with someone I didn’t know because she is so attached to me. Izzy was very understanding and made me feel comfortable. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the stay, and seeing Gerdoo lying next to another dog was so heartwarming. I would definitely trust Izzy with her again.”

“Jessica couldn’t be any sweeter. We have a 12 year old Great Dane, and certainly no longer an easy dog to take care of (although sweet!) Jessica went above and beyond to make him comfortable and happy. So much so he didn’t want to leave!!! Not enough good things to say about Jessica, her husband, or Capone. Highly recommended 😍”

“What a wonderful experience this was for my elderly kitty, who was so well cared for. I've never seen her adjust so quickly. Thank you, Phyllis, for taking such good care of my kitty. Definitely recommend!!”

“Yoda came home very content. By the pictures Amanda and Anton sent he looked like he was getting spoiled and was happy about it. They did a wonderful job taking care of Yoda”

“Ingrida took WONDERFUL care of Josey who came back smelling fresh and clean and enjoyed her first big trip away! We certainly recommend Ingrida, we found her on short notice and she was happy to oblige. Thank you so much!”

“This was the second time Frankie stayed with Traci, and we wouldn’t trust anybody else with our pup. Traci takes such great care of her, she knows her stuff, and will take care of your pup like her own. Thanks so much again Traci! We’ll be back :)”

“Lisa and her family was amazing!! Probably the best sitter experience we have had on Rover! She sent us a lot of pics. Her kiddos took our dog on lots of walks and kept him busy (and feeling loved).”

“Our cat absolutely loved his time with Veronika! She was thorough and really connected with our boy :) I'm sure he can't wait to see her next time we go out of town!”

“Stephanie is fantastic. She went above and beyond for our cats, especially since one requires medicine twice a day and had been jumping from too high. She took care of a few small things around the house when a short heat wave came through and we learned that our feeder was empty. Our cats really took to her, which is meaningful for our shy guy.”

“Sam was incredible with our two kitties! Loved all of the photos and videos she took during her visits. And we could tell that our fur babies were well taken care of when we came back home. Definitely our first choice for kitty care!”

“Megan has helped us twice now to check in on our kitties while we’ve been out of town. She has excellent communication and really takes genuine care to make sure our cats are doing well. Highly recommended! :-)”

“Jayme did a wonderful job with my cat, Cheddar. She was able to give him his medicine easily, and I think he really liked her a lot based on the photos she sent. She was very responsive when we needed to communicate and she sent lots of photos. I will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

“Great job with my cat, Peanut! Over two visits, I got tons of photos from Lauren. Peanut is relatively shy and I could tell Lauren was gentle and patient. It's great to know that a cat-centric sitter can be found for those who need it (like me).”

“Michelle is absolutely amazing and does a great job. She has been taken care of Tyson for a very long time. I feel completely comfortable with her in and out of my home when I am not there. Tyson loves her and that is the main thing. She’s respectable of your home and she’s very on-time and professional. Out of all the Rovers I’ve used Michelle is absolutely hands-down my favorite.”

About: I have 7+ years of experience caring for cats of all breeds, personalities, and ages. I previously volunteered at the Bolingbrook Animal Shelter, where I provided personalized care and followed the individual routines of cats and kittens. I respect every cat’s boundaries, personality, and comfort level while giving them plenty of love and attention. I can follow your pet’s specific routine, feeding schedule, medications, and care instructions. I also have a pet-friendly space where your furry baby can relax, feel safe, and get comfortable while you’re away.

About: As a devoted cat mom to two cats, I understand their different personalities, routines, and need for patience. I am comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, companionship, and caring for shy or independent cats. I will treat your cat with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own.
About: I’ve grown up in a household with a plethora of animals with dogs being my favorite. I’ve taken care of large dogs, like English Mastiffs, to the tiniest, like Yorkies. I am a one stop shop who you can trust to care for your dog and you might find that I have plenty of educated and informative ways of doing so! Oh, and I’m an owner of a 3 year old mini golden-doodle named Teddy Graham! I currently plan on dog sitting part-time so house sitting is something I can do over the weekends and some parts of the week as well. I'm very flexible so feel free to send me a message and we can negotiate based on what days/times work best for you. I'm happy to care for your pet in whatever way you outline. I'm familiar with crate training, and also understand if your pet has special dietary needs. Personally, my fur baby is full of energy so I also am completely understanding if you have an over energetic pup that needs to be tired out.

About: Hello pet parents! Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I gained a deep lifelong respect for animal care by raising a variety of several pets. This lifelong background means your beloved pup isn't just getting a sitter—they are staying with a highly experienced caretaker who understands animal behavior and needs. I also have 2 grand-pups who are adorable and who I love, have stayed with me at length, boarded and lived with me. I provide a fun, loving, and completely stress-free environment specifically tailored for small to medium-sized dogs. Because I am home full-time, and typically always available, your pup will enjoy constant companionship, interactive playtime, walks to the park, and frequent potty breaks in the fenced in yard, without ever being left alone. I currently work from home and have the availability at home full-time, meaning your dog will enjoy constant companionship. I structure our days around frequent potty breaks every 2 to 3 hours, interactive backyard playtime, and relaxing afternoon naps. Because I don't work away from home, your pup will never be left unsupervised. Your dog will be staying in a spacious, pet-friendly 4-bedroom home designed for comfort. They will have access to a fully fenced backyard perfect for zoomies, playing fetch, plus a living room overflowing with fun toys to keep them happily entertained. Whether they prefer chasing balls outside or curling up on a cozy couch for belly rubs, my home is their ultimate home-away-from-home!
“Niko loved his two days of daycare with Jean and Al! He had fun and was crying with excitement when I pulled in the driveway on day 2 and nearly pulled me to the front door! So he definitely enjoyed it. We will be back!”

About: I have been an avid animal lover as a child and have owned cats, bunnies and currently a 100 pound bernedoodle! I love taking care of animals and have experience administering medicine. I have previous dog walking experience aside from my own giant puppy. I currently live in Westmont IL with a lot of space and a quiet safe neighborhood for long walks. I work remote for 3 days out of the week so I am flexible with drop in visits and walks. My dog would love a playmate during the day as well, so if you need me to babysit at my place there's plenty of room. I have a friendly bernedoodle who loved to play and has moved with us 3 times to different states! He gets daily long walks, plays with us, and gets treats. We like to take him to explore different parks and trails in the area.

“Our dog loved her time with Ashley. She felt 100% at home which was very important to me. I tried a pet store doggy day care previously and it was overwhelming to my dog, she was not happy when I picked her up. When I picked her up from Ashley she was so happy and I could tell she had a great day. Ashley sent pictures. was very responsive, and she was very accommodating. I will definitely be booking with her again!!!”

“This was the first time we used Destiny, and we’re very happy with how well she treated Ottis on his visit. He immediately made himself at home, cuddled up to her and went to sleep! That’s the strongest endorsement I can give! Also, she was a pleasure to deal with. We had plans in the city and didn’t know exactly when we’d be back, and she was very accommodating to our schedule to pick him up. We’ll definitely use her again the next time we have plans and can’t take the Fur Baby with us!”

About: my family rescued our first (adult) cat off the streets when i was in 5th grade, and i’ve been dedicated to helping cats (and other animals) as much as possible since then. two of our cats were brothers (one of them passed away at age 12 in 2022 + the other we had to put down at age 15 in july 2025) — we rescued them right before they were about to put them to sleep because no one was taking them when they were less than a year old — i was in 7th/8th grade. the other two were a mother and kitten daughter, i was a sophomore in high school. my current + only cat is 4 years old, my manager’s cousin was looking to give her kitten away because she didn’t have time to take care of her, and at the time i still had one of the brothers who was very lonely, so i took her in at the end of 2022. because i have experienced having 3 females and 2 males in the same household for 4-5 years, i understand the importance of measures needed to be taken to introduce new pets, keeping peace, and how to break up fights before they start or as they start. i’ve had cats who have dealt with/have helped them out with the following: having cancer, giving birth, stage four kidney disease, feline aids, ear infections/ear mites, saddle thrombus, open wounds, eye colds, some sicknesses, soothing distressed animals, giving baths, brushing teeth, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, distracting cats, feeding them, cuddling, minimal/medium level grooming, cats going through heat (the mother & daughter both weren’t neutered for a bit - some of my old stuffed animals will never be the same) and many more things. my sister has a cattle herding dog that i’ve babysat whenever she comes into town - many times when he was a puppy — so in terms of dogs, my experience is: dealing with teething, playtime, going on walks/picking up any poop, taking him out for bathroom breaks, feeding, training (with instructions given by owner), soothing anxious dogs, dogs that jump, anxious barking/anxious energy, puppies with separation anxiety, distracting dogs, cuddling, and minimal grooming. i am happy to bring your pet to and from vet appointments, as long as the location is within a 10-15 mile radius and they are relatively easy to get into their carrier. i can take care of dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, reptiles, hamsters, chinchillas — basically any animal aside from snakes and spiders, i’m happy to take care of! i have an enormous amount of love for animals and although they are very smart + capable, i feel a personal responsibility to help them and care for them, especially when they can’t do it themselves. listening to animals and their verbal/physical cues, along with noticing and respecting the boundaries they have, is so important. i’ve also: helped friends walk their dogs, feed them, soothe them, distract them, and bathe them. i also have experience with taking injured birds into wildlife conservatories. i do not have experience with taking care of senior dogs, but i do have experience with taking care of senior cats. as of 2025, i have experienced dealing with the death of four of our cats (we had to give the fourth one away after a few years - we couldn't afford to have her neutered, and we decided it would be better for her well being if she was able to have owners who could do that for her), so it's given me an immense understanding of how important it is to give pets all the love, affection, care, keeping them safe, keeping them healthy, etc needed. Although, I am sad that we're down to just one cat now, who I love very much, being able to take care of other cats helps keep life from feeling too empty, and gives me a chance to continue giving my love to animals. i currently am taking online college classes, so that is a very flexible aspect of my schedule. in terms of work, i’m currently job hunting, so that’s also an easily flexible aspect of my schedule. i prefer to have at least one day notice in advance of when you’ll need a sitter so we can schedule a meet and greet—i don’t book drop in visits without doing a meet + greet first. they are my vetting process to ensure safety for myself, any potential clients, and your lovely pet(s). it also allows us to go over any instructions you have for me, me receiving keys/codes/etc, and gives your pet(s) a chance to get a feel of me with their owner around so they feel safer when seeing me for the first time + it is less of a surprise to them when i arrive for any actual bookings. i’m not a morning person, so i do prefer to do afternoon + evening drop ins, that way i can ensure that i can do the drop ins at the time we've agreed on, but am willing to do late mornings (starting at 11/11:30 am). clients who choose to continue booking with me get locked in prices — this means that the cost you paid per visit after your second booking gets locked in and doesn’t change, even if i increase my per drop in visit cost. this became implemented in september of 2023 — if you’re a client who has been booking with me prior to september, your prices are already locked in. if you begin booking with me post-september 2023, you’ll need to book me at least two times in order to get locked in prices. i find that working with the same pets consistently allows them to feel more comfortable and safe and allows me to build a good relationship with clients, as well. to get this aspect out of the way -- when doing meet and greets, i bring my mom with me for my own safety. i hope any owner who wants to work with me is okay with that. i also occasionally bring her with me to do evening drop ins, if/when owners are okay with it (she likes hanging out with pets lol). every cat i’ve done a drop in for always loves her immediately - i’m convinced they can sense the mom in her, and they're drawn to that. she is also willing to substitute for me and do drop in visits whenever have a work shift that i cannot change, as long as it's also okay with the pet owner. i don’t host animals in my home overnight -- although we only have one cat now, she is very territorial and anxious. while i would love for her to have a friend to play with, i would not risk the safety of your pet or mine. at a client’s home, i would of course respect any boundaries they have in terms of where they want their pet and where they don’t want them, what they can and cannot do, etc. i would prefer to be given a list of instructions of rooms they’re not allowed in, activities they enjoy, if the litter box needs to be cleaned out, if one pet is particularly anxious or needs me to sit there with them while they eat (my cat needs me to pet him while he eats), things they like and things they don’t like, etc. i like communication to be as clear and thorough as possible, so i can do the best job and keep clients and pets as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible and to help build trust. in terms of administering any type of liquid medicine like eye drops or oral medicine, i would prefer to solely do drop ins in the evening, so i can take my mom with me for help. whenever we administered liquid medicine, but specifically the two examples i mentioned above, it's always been a two person job.
About: I’ve cared for animals since I was young, starting with my own family’s dogs and eventually helping care for pets around my neighborhood. My passion for animal care led me to earn a B.S. in Animal Science with a focus on Companion Animals from the University of Minnesota. During my time there, I held animal care positions at three different zoological institutions, including Brookfield Zoo. I’m excited for the opportunity to care for your pets and provide a safe, happy, and enriching experience, whether it’s during a walk or a home visit! I am currently working part-time so I look forward to playing with your pets! Right now I have more availability than usual and can handle several walks or check-ins during the day! I have a car and am able to drive to and from your home. I will follow all instructions when it comes to caring for your pets. You know what is best for your own furry friends. Every animal is special and some need more attentions than others. I look forward to getting to learn about your fur-baby’s quarks!
About: My natural patience and lifelong love for dogs allow me to quickly build a bond of trust with any pet I watch. I’m not just there to provide snuggles and food and walks; I’m there to give them genuine companionship and ensure they feel secure and cherished in our home. I work from home and spend most days at home working. I love having a "desk buddy" and a dog walk is a great way to break up the day, Your pup will have constant supervision! I have a large yard that is fenced in. I love to take frequent walks to burn off that excess energy. I have multiple dog beds, cozy blankets, and plenty of toys!
About: Growing up surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes, I have always loved our pets! I have been caring for mainly dogs 10+ years, and have cared for dogs of all ages. Typically when caring for dogs I will maintain they're regular feeding schedule while walking them on longer walks at least twice daily. I can get out and exercise with high energy dogs, or I can keep older dogs or smaller dogs company. I have cared for puppies still needing to be house broken and older dogs requiring medication. Over quarantine my family started fostering a cat as well who we fell in love with and now rules our household. Cat sitting is also a newer part time for me but I enjoy every second of it. I have cared for households containing 1 or up to 7 cats. Maintaining a dogs/cats schedule is important so if necessary I can follow specific instructions to make your furry friend as happy as can be! I am currently a work from home employee who has a very flexible schedule and can be of assistance at just about any time of day. I care for pets by meeting and following your fur baby’s needs and your instructions. I always lead with love and attention, if the pet is interested in such!
About: As a devoted pet mom to two cats and two dogs, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and loving. I treat every pet with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I am available for drop-in visits on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. With advance notice, I can also accommodate special schedules and multiple visits per day. I will carefully follow your pet’s usual routine and all instructions provided. I will also send photos and updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Fantastic— Jo’Ell is very prompt and has great communication, she walked my pup on very short notice and was very accommodating. Would certainly request her services again”
About: My goals is always to give the pet the best care possible. I have taken care of pets that have special needs such as assisting with walking with a harness, medication administration, as much TLC as they need. I am an absolute animal lover and my goal is to achieve trust, with the pet parent and the pet. Also, to provide the best care as though they were my own. I currently work as an oral surgeons assistant, and my hours change each week. I’m open for walks or sits throughout the week with boarding on the weekends. I am very flexible with the pet parents needs! I always establish trust with the pet first, they need to feel comfortable first and for most. And I make sure that the pet is on the leash prior to leaving and or starting a walk. If I am boarding I have a fenced in back yard along with a very loving French Chow to keep your pet company. If need be she can always spend time elsewhere in the home if you are not comfortable with you’re pet being around another pet.

“Sarah is nothing short of incredible & amazing!! From the way she communicated on the first day, to her positive, sweet & energetic demeanor with both me & my dog Dixie. She was on time, thorough in telling me about their walk & it's easy to see she enjoys what she does. As a company, Rover is very fortunate to have someone like her, a part of their team!!”

“Linda has been so wonderful with my dog. She kept updating me and sending me pictures. She treated my dog as if her own. Peanut seemed to be well at home with Linda and Daisy. I couldn't expect better treatment. I would recommend her for anyone. Thanks Linda!!!”

“Heather ended up taking care of Dempsey an extra day after our flight back to Chicago was cancelled. She was quick to respond and helped make a stressful situation a little easier to manage. She took great care of Demps while we were out of town. Thank you!!”

“This is the third time we have used Jill and Nick and Niko had a great time! They have fabulous communication and send lots of pictures and Niko is well taken care of! We will definitely book with them again!”

“Natalie is Amazing sitter! She was very caring, attentive, and kept us updated throughout our dog’s stay. It was clear he was happy and well taken care of. We really appreciated her flexibility and would definitely book with her again! 🐾❤️”

“Laina takes such good care of Luna for us! Luna is very skittish (can be reactive) but she takes to Laina right away. She's so good with her! I appreciate her loving care very much.”

“Nicole was fantastic in keeping my Romie. She eased my mind by sending pictures and text. She answered all my questions and listened to my concerns . I am usually overly worried about my 12-year-old grandson Romie but Nicole assured me she could do the job and she did. I will use Nicole on my upcoming trips. Thanks again for the excellent job !!”

“Lucy had an awesome time staying with Tyler. I received frequent updates while I was away with pictures showing how well she was being taken care of. Beautiful home and lovely property! Would highly recommend and have already booked her next stay. Thank you!”

“This was the second time Frankie stayed with Traci, and we wouldn’t trust anybody else with our pup. Traci takes such great care of her, she knows her stuff, and will take care of your pup like her own. Thanks so much again Traci! We’ll be back :)”

“Adriana was great! I left my pup for the first time ever for several days with her. She was so great in keeping me updated on his well being and he even got to make new friends! She’s also very accommodating. I definitely plan on having my pup stay with her when needed.”

“Alexandria went above and beyond while watching our dog! It's obvious how much she loves dogs and that she's very attentive and responsible. Never worried about our dog for a second while we were gone, could tell she was having a great time from all the pics. We'll be back!”

“I found Deb last minute and she immediately made time for a meet and greet for myself and Lucy my Yorkie. I left Lucy for the weekend yet never felt like I was far from her because Deb went out of her way to give me updates. I received more updates from Deb in two days than I had from a former long time sitter for two weeks. I also appreciated that she was transparent with the amount of animals that she was watching yet ensured everyone’s safety by separating them. I would definitely recommend Deb and will be returning.”

“David and Susan were easy to schedule with and very accommodating for our dog! They hosted our lab for a long vacation and made sure she was loved while we were away! Thank you!”

“Michelle and Erika were great! They provided plenty of updates, photos and even videos during my dogs stay. They were friendly and reassuring and I will definitely use them again for future stays.”
