“Lauren was awesome! She sent me a lot photos and detail messages of each visit. I definitely recommend her and I will contact her again if I need someone to take care of my cats!”

About: I’ve cared for animals since I was young, starting with my own family’s dogs and eventually helping care for pets around my neighborhood. My passion for animal care led me to earn a B.S. in Animal Science with a focus on Companion Animals from the University of Minnesota. During my time there, I held animal care positions at three different zoological institutions, including Brookfield Zoo. I’m excited for the opportunity to care for your pets and provide a safe, happy, and enriching experience, whether it’s during a walk or a home visit! I am currently working part-time so I look forward to playing with your pets! Right now I have more availability than usual and can handle several walks or check-ins during the day! I have a car and am able to drive to and from your home. I will follow all instructions when it comes to caring for your pets. You know what is best for your own furry friends. Every animal is special and some need more attentions than others. I look forward to getting to learn about your fur-baby’s quarks!

About: I’ve had dog(s) in my family for over a decade and have always taken care of dogs on vacations/trips. Love to spend time outside, in the yard or going for walks I work park time in the roofing industry, and have some extra spare time in my days off to take care of any fur friends I have a fenced yard with grass at home in the suburbs. I treat everything with respect and maintain cleanliness. I come from a clean and tidy smoke free home. I have stayed in many airbnbs and have never left a mess. I always try to clean up after myself and leave things looking as they were
“Stephanie did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. My fountain unfortunately broke during the period she was pet sitting, but she managed a workaround and made sure my cats had everything they needed. Pleasant person to interact with. Highly recommend.”

“Lauren responded quickly when we needed someone to look after our dogs on a short notice. She arrived at the scheduled time and provided us with updates throught the drop-in session along with photos. Thank you Lauren!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs since I was little. I always have had a passion for helping animals in anyway I can whether its freeing them from debris or saving them from off the side of the road I will do anything. I've been working with dogs that have had cancer and have needed medicine distributed to them, I've worked with big dogs, older dogs, little dogs, energetic dogs and more! Im currently doing Night School for college Monday - Thursday, I would be avaliable in the mornings from 9am-1pm. Saturday-sunday, I am typically avaliable from 10am-9:30pm I make sure that I follow all the rules that the homeowners give to me. I make sure to lock up and clean any messes there could have been made throughout the day. If anything were to go wrong, I would notify the home owners right away.

“Olivia did a wonderful job on the drop in visits for my dog. She was on time and followed my directions very well. She sent lots of pictures and took great care of him. I will be using Olivia in the future for walks, drop ins and vacations.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogssince I was 10. I’ve walked and dog sat family members dogs and neighbors dogs. I also play with the dogs. I currently work full time M-F 7-3:30 and can be available around 4pm each day. I’m available anytime on the weekends to take your pup on long walks. I live in a dog friendly condo with a balcony. About: I started taking care and training dogs when I was 13. My parents rescued my dog Luna when I was 14 and I took care of her every day and trained her, she even understands Spanish! She is the sweetest dog ever but I currently don’t live with her anymore. I also enjoy taking care of kids and I am very patient and confident in my ability to handle anything. I love to teach and I am very passionate about what I do. Once I start something I work hard to become better everyday. I am currently on summer break so I have plenty of free time. I am fully committed to working Monday-Saturday mostly from 8am-9pm. My current schedule is simple. I go to the gym from 9-11:30am and pretty much free the rest of the day. I have a part time job and I work every other week Sat-Sun from 4-10. I have a really flexible schedule so feel free to ask any questions! I would usually take my dog out for her first walk at 8 in the morning. I would take her out for at least 15min and repeat this every 3/4 hours. After her first walk I fed her breakfast, sometimes I’d crack an egg on top or drizzle honey which is great for dogs, and I fed her twice a day. If it was muddy outside I would clean her paws and fur after. I would play with her and teach her new tricks every now and then. If her breath was bad I would brush her teeth at night. I loved cuddling and sleeping with her and I would do everything to make sure she was happy.

“Elena went over and beyond when taking care of Poncho. She sent many pictures and filled me in the whole time. I would highly recommend her to watch anyone’s dog and will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up caring for all sorts of animals. I also foster cats/kittens and a dog. I also volunteer and work with both cats and dogs at my designated shelters so I have experience working with different sizes and temperaments. I have a strong love for all species of animals. I have experience training dogs with basic commands and socializing them. I currently am a part time nanny. So until 10am I am busy with that and then I have travel softball as well. I love animals so much and want to help people out by being a trusting individual to take care of their animals! I have experience with crating dogs as well as leashing dogs who may be so excited to walk that they are difficult to leash. I enjoy caring for animals in the safety of their own home so they are more comfortable.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and truly treat every dog as if they were my own. I’ve raised and trained my Akita Inu from puppyhood and lovingly cared for my Jack Russell through their senior years. I’m comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs, and seniors, and I focus on calm, patient care that helps dogs feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I’m free all day, every day. This allows me to give pets my full attention without rushing or juggling other commitments. I’m able to follow your dog’s normal routine closely, whether that means regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training reinforcement, or quiet companionship. Because my schedule is flexible, I can easily adjust to puppies who need more frequent care, senior dogs who move at a slower pace, or pets who simply enjoy company throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping everything familiar and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet’s routine, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of attention and reassurance. For dog walks in my neighborhood or yours, I use calm, confident handling and always prioritize safety. Walks are structured but enjoyable, tailored to your dog’s energy level, age, and comfort. I reinforce good leash manners, stay aware of surroundings, and make sure each walk is both stimulating and relaxing for your dog.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westmont
I had a great experience. Sam was able to help out on short notice over a busy holiday weekend which I appreciated. She made sure Tucker had plenty of outside time, played with him and gave him treats. I loved getting updates and pictures of her visits. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter and will book with her again.

Stephanie was the best! She treated our dogs like her own and played with them so much each time she came. We had never used Rover before and we are so glad that we picked Stephanie to watch them. We are so thankful to her for giving us peace of mind while we were gone and for keeping our dogs happy everyday! Highly recommend her to watch yours!

John is the best pet sitter we have had for Maxx. He is reliable, honest, friendly and great communicator. We could not have found a best sitter for drop in visits when we both have to go to work. He responds very promptly about inquiries and … our dog Maxx loves him already!

Evan – A Truly Exceptional Pet Sitter Evan is the best pet sitter I’ve ever worked with. I’ve had many pet sitters and boarding places. She’s been the best & feel the safest leaving my fur babies in her care! Her type of attentiveness and care is rare. She’s taken care of my elderly dog who had medical issues and cat twice now while I was away on vacation, and every time they see her, they get excited. They don’t trust just anyone and neither do I but Evan has earned that trust completely. My dog has a history of abuse and he trusts her completely because she is so gentle with him. Every visit is thoughtful and thorough. She sends multiple pictures and detailed updates about everything: meals, water breaks, potty time, and cuddles. I always looked forward reading the drop-ins. She’s always early, stays the full time, and brings a warm, friendly energy that both pets and me. Before initially hiring her, I virtually interviewed three other Pet Sitter’s and I felt like she was the best out of all of them in the area. I’m thankful I found her. Evan is kind, and reliable! She’s helped with clean up with my cat, when my dog had missed his puppy pad, and did trash removal. I feel completely at ease leaving my pets in her care, and I’ll absolutely continue to use her services. Highly recommend Evan to anyone who wants peace of mind and happy pets! I do admit I have high standards and she naturally meets them.

Amy did an amazing job with our golden retriever puppy. We had a meet and greet the day before drop in visits began which was a big reassurance that our puppy would be well taken care of. She was a great help with bringing our puppy out to potty and giving him some play time while she was visiting. Our puppy also had a little accident in his crate but she went above and beyond with helping clean that up which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend!

Kathryn was fantastic! She was able to come and do a drop-in visit with a few days notice and made us feel very comfortable with the plan to check in on Grover :) She followed all instructions and made sure Grover was a very happy pup :) 10 out of 10 would recommend Kathryn to everyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
