“Allison did a great job with our Murph! She was very communicative, shared photos, and played with our pup while we were away. She also FaceTimed in advance, which we appreciated since this was our first time using Rover. Would book again :)”

About: I’ve had a dog for most of my life, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs and understanding their needs. I’ve also dog sat for family and friends several times, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and giving them lots of attention. I’m dependable, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so you can feel confident your pet will be well cared for while you’re away. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m looking for recurring dog walking or pet care opportunities for a few hours at a time, but I’m also happy to help with one-time visits when my schedule allows. I’m reliable, punctual, and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine and your scheduling needs. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and any instructions you provide to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s going for walks, feeding them, refilling water, administering simple care, or just spending quality time playing and giving them attention, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. My goal is to make sure they’re happy, well cared for, and comfortable while you’re away.
About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.
“Melanie is fantastic!! We are so grateful to have found her. One of our pups is on complex medications at the moment, which she handled with ease. She gave us thorough updates & gave our pups all the play time and love! We cannot wait to work with Melanie again!”

“Erin does an amazing job; our greyhound Happy just loves her! She is professional and communicates very well. She's thoughtful and respectful of our home, making sure feet are clean and things are tidy. Erin is quick to respond to requests for help and flexible when my schedule changes. I can confidently recommend Erin.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and truly love being around them. I know how important it is to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m patient, responsible, and will treat your dog like my own by giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and lots of love. I’m currently a college student and work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits and walks most weekdays and weekends. I’ll always make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions carefully. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Megan is the best! She has watched our two dogs, two cats and leopard gecko multiple times. She is super reliable, very communicative, and just a delight with the animals. My only hesitation in writing this review is that she will book up and won’t be available for our numerous last minute requests!”

About: I have taken care of pets for the last 20+ years on top of owning my own! Doing this on the side to help animal lovers alike! Let me create a bond and space that feels like their home away from their home & parents ❤️ I also worked as a pre vet student in a couple animal hospitals in college so have extensive experience. I am available during the day, nights, and weekends depending on the needs of the client! Can be flexible and work with your availability as it is! I want pets to feel as comfortable as possible when being cared for. Give me as much detail as possible so I can do my best work!
About: I grew up with animals and currently don’t have any of my own. I’m hoping to fill this gap by pet-sitting for others and taking care of your four-legged family members as my own! I am a full-time therapist at a private practice so my schedule is not typical. I primarily work late afternoons to evenings for short shifts so I am home during the day. I even have Mondays completely off. I will ensure that your pet is able to get their energy out early in the day, so by the evening they are ready to rest, relax, and be loved on. I have a large fenced in yard and already go on daily 1 mile walks, having a pet to join me would be great for myself and your pet’s energy!
“I would love to say that Ethel is the only sitter I have tried, and I am honestly never going to try another person. My cat is always well taken care of when I am gone. Ethel communicated with me everyday and always has. Thank you!”

About: What is DOG spelled backwards? I believe dogs to be special beings who bring joy, companionship, and help us to feel more alive. I've helped raise and care for animals for 20 years. I've helped train all of our family dogs starting with Sunny, our Golden. Since then I have worked for two dog care providers, including my own business. I've trained dogs for both Emotional Support and Service. My dog Daisy was a Rainbows Therapy Certified, a Canine Good Citizen, and is my personal ESA. It is my belief that animals, especially dogs, have the unique ability to help us heal emotionally and physically. I recently closed my business, which is why I am back on Rover. If you need more recent reviews or references, I can send them upon request. As caregivers it is our responsibility to ensure not only physical health of our animal (s) and to foster their psychological well-being, as well. In addition to this business, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provide therapy for children and adults, as well as emotional support to animals using somatic experience and music therapy. I also volunteer for CACC, playing music for shelter dogs and cats. My schedule is wide open at the moment as I work from home doing virtual therapy. I will be able to provide constant care to your doggos and cats. I do not have a fenced-in yard There are three parks within 2 mi of my house that have fenced-in areas where it is safe for dogs.
“This was the second time Lauren watched our cat while we were away. For each of the three visits she spent plenty of time with him and sent lots of pictures with a good update. We are very thankful for her care for our Grover and will book again.”

“Phyllis and Greg were great. They responded right away to my request for a cat-sitter and arrived like clockwork at the appointed time every day. They took great care of our elderly cat and kept in touch throughout our time away. Highly recommend!”

About: I am a happy owner of 3 large dogs- goldendoodles and a labradoodle, along with a cat and a rabbit! I love animals and love being around them and playing with them. I used to co-own an in-your-home pet care business called Mollycoddles. I make trips daily to people's houses to take care of their pets while they're at work or on vacation. I have experience with dogs off all sizes, ages, and conditions. I took a break during 2025 to focus on a new career and just moved to the Darien area from Lisle- so I’m ready to meet some Darien/Willowbrook/DG pups and cats! I work from home most days and care for pets in the mornings or during your lunch breaks! Late night visits can also be arranged with repeat clients! During the summer. Hours can be flexible for visits, especially on weekends. All services will be done in your home- I will travel to you and your pup or cat and take care of them there! No worries of having to pack bags or overnight items. Potty breaks and walks are the best for working paw-rents!
About: $25 for first-time bookers! Your Promo Code: GRANTS01745 Hello! My name is Grant, I'm a writer and creative marketing guy who works remotely, am a huge, season-ticket-holding Cubs fan, gay-friendly, and I absolutely love dogs! I have over 16 years experience caring for my own dogs and I'm one of the best Dog Dads out there! I enjoy dogs more than people sometimes, no offense, LOL, and I've always loved dog walking, pet sitting, reinforcing training techniques as instructed by owners (and teaching my own dogs), and playing with man and woman's best friends! I would love to meet you and your best friend, and I hope to have that opportunity to make your life a little easier by letting me take great care of your little guy or gal! I spend a good 45 minutes with your little lovers, including a walk and playtime, sometimes it’s a full hour—I don’t rush. I am responsible, loving and kind, educated, and will give your dog the best care possible outside of immediate family. For longer "day of" stays, where you may be going out for the day and need me for 8 hours or more of playtime and multiple walks, I will charge minimum wage in Illinois, $15 per hour, so for example an 8-hour day at your home with your pet would be $120. Tell me more about your pet and how I can tailor my time to make them happy and take the very best care that they are accustomed to! I can walk your dog up to 3 times daily and feed the pet according to your requirements. I am used to cooking for my dog, with a small kibble supplement, so if for example, you would love me to cook up some chicken with vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower, I can do that if you have the budget to accommodate purchase of the ingredients! I'm happy to play with your dog inside or outdoors, in your yard, or drive to the nearest park to get some great exercise and Vitamin D! A happy dog is a tired dog, and my plan would be for the dog to have a full day of fun and exercise! If your dog has a pal or two, or a day care you like to drop your dog off at where he or she has some buddies they like to play with, I'm willing to drop your snuggle bear off for a few hours, etc., to break up the monotony of being at home. Whatever I can do to match your dog's usual routine -- let me know -- and we'll make it happen!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Willowbrook
We hate to leave our Percy home when traveling, but Jayme took such great care of him. This was our first experience on Rover and I hope all caregivers are as kind and professional as Jayme! She guided us through the Rover process and, most importantly, made a real connection with our pup. Great communication and sent lots of pictures.

We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!

Evan – A Truly Exceptional Pet Sitter Evan is the best pet sitter I’ve ever worked with. I’ve had many pet sitters and boarding places. She’s been the best & feel the safest leaving my fur babies in her care! Her type of attentiveness and care is rare. She’s taken care of my elderly dog who had medical issues and cat twice now while I was away on vacation, and every time they see her, they get excited. They don’t trust just anyone and neither do I but Evan has earned that trust completely. My dog has a history of abuse and he trusts her completely because she is so gentle with him. Every visit is thoughtful and thorough. She sends multiple pictures and detailed updates about everything: meals, water breaks, potty time, and cuddles. I always looked forward reading the drop-ins. She’s always early, stays the full time, and brings a warm, friendly energy that both pets and me. Before initially hiring her, I virtually interviewed three other Pet Sitter’s and I felt like she was the best out of all of them in the area. I’m thankful I found her. Evan is kind, and reliable! She’s helped with clean up with my cat, when my dog had missed his puppy pad, and did trash removal. I feel completely at ease leaving my pets in her care, and I’ll absolutely continue to use her services. Highly recommend Evan to anyone who wants peace of mind and happy pets! I do admit I have high standards and she naturally meets them.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
