About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and will give your fur baby the same love, care and affection they would get if you were caring for them. I have had experience watching cats and dogs of all sizes for the past 5 years. I absolutely love walking and getting outside and will ensure your dog gets the fun and exercise they need to stay happy and healthy. Or, if your dog or cat isn’t the aerobic type, I will be happy to supply them with all the love and cuddles they could possibly desire. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite things, and I am so excited for the opportunity to get to care for your fur baby. I am currently a full time college student which gives me flexible hours and availability during the work day to give your furry friend the full attention they deserve on walks or drop in visits. I’m a very organized person and will ensure your home stays just as clean and cared for as your fur baby. However you like your pet to be cared for, I am happy to fill their needs! Whether that be fetch in the backyard, walks outside, playing in the house, hanging out on the couch with me (if allowed) or putting them into their crate at the end of the day, I’m happy to care for your pet however they need while keeping your home just as you like it.

 Monday-Thursday: I work 8 AM-4 PM just minutes from home, so I can stop by during lunch for potty breaks, walks, check-ins, and extra attention when needed.
 Fridays: I work remotely, which gives me even more flexibility for walks, playtime, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. Weekends: My schedule is open, making it easy to accommodate overnight stays, extended visits, and last-minute bookings.

For boarding/daycare, pets who prefer space from other pets can enjoy a one‑household stay.

 When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home that looks exactly as you left it. I come fully prepared with my own laptop, hotspot, meals, and daily essentials. I don't require Wi-Fi, snacks, streaming services, or household supplies. Most of my time is spent playing with, walking, cuddling, grooming, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I closely follow feeding schedules, household rules, training routines, and walking expectations. I also: • Bring in mail/take out trash • Vacuum pet hair • Keep food and water areas clean • Tidy up after myself • Wipe down surfaces I use • Handle pet-related cleanups • Respect all security measures and gates
 You'll never have surprise visitors, smoking, parties, or drinking in your home. I treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect someone to show mine.

My passion for animal care led me to earn a B.S. in Animal Science with a focus on Companion Animals from the University of Minnesota. During my time there, I held animal care positions at three different zoological institutions, including Brookfield Zoo. About: Hello! My name is Alana and I have worked with animals for over a decade, beginning in high school. I worked for a veterinary clinic for 10 years until I moved into a different field. Even then, I still missed working with animals and enjoyed it so much that I ran my own animal rescue for 6 years. On top of a full time job, I work part time taking care of other people’s pets because I love it so much! I currently have three dogs in my home, Frank, a chihuahua mix, and Estelle, a Boston terrier mix, and Roxanne (Roxy) a lab/poodle mix. I also have a Maine Coon cat named Lenny who loves my dogs. I have worked with every dog breed out there, from tiny to large and special needs animals. I also consider myself a cat whisperer and reptile enthusiast. Please feel free to ask me any questions! I work full time from home, 7:30 - 4:00pm Monday through Friday. My dogs get potty breaks during that time and plenty (sometimes too much!) attention. I treat your pets as if they are part of my family. If I am not home and have to run out, the pet will be separated or crated from my own animals. I follow any instructions you give me to a T. I tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure I know everything about your pet.
