About: I have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. My education helped build a foundation and understanding of animal welfare, behavior, nutrition, and safe animal handling. I have over two years of professional experience training dogs in basic on-leash obedience, including heel, sit, stay, place, recall, and other foundational commands. I was trained by master trainer Joel Slaven, who has trained animals for movies, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and worked extensively alongside Jack Hanna. In addition to dog training, I have worked as a Kennel Technician, where I helped care for up to 50 dogs at a time. My responsibilities included feeding, administering oral and subcutaneous medications, and providing daily exercise through walks and free running in a large pasture. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I also have experience working at a dog daycare, where I supervised playgroups of 25 or more dogs and learned how to manage different personalities and energy levels in a group setting. Outside of my professional experience, I own a two-year-old English Bulldog. Her stubborn personality and high energy have taught me a great deal about patience, consistency, and adapting my approach to each individual dog. Overall, my experience has strengthened my passion for working with dogs and my commitment to providing them with patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate care. I have an open and flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dog walks/or home visits in the early morning, throughout the day and into the evening. I am happy to work around you and your pets schedule to provide dependable great care. About: I feel strongly about the human animal-bond and I believe your pets deserve the best care possible! My experience goes back to childhood since I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I've watched neighbors' and friends' pets while they were out of town and even watched a friend's horses while she was on vacation. I walked dogs at Anderson Animal Shelter (now Anderson Humane) as a kid. I worked for a pet sitting company for a little over a year in 2020. That year I also began school to become a certified veterinary technician. After two years taking classes full time and completing two externships I became a CVT. My schooling did include kennels- aka walking, cleaning up after and caring for the rescued dogs and cats we learned on (they were adopted out at the end of each semester). I also have helped with pets who were boarding at veterinary offices. I can do medical treatments on your fur baby if necessary. I am open to watching exotic pets. I have a huge admiration for spicy cats. I am your person for house sitting and drop in visits. I will be using Rover for part time work but I do have flexible availability! I have stepped away from full time work all together for the foreseeable future. I am a morning person and I would love to spend some time outside with your pup whatever the weather may be. I enjoy walking outside even in zero degree weather! I am happy to accommodate any routine you need for your fur babies. Greeting your pet is important, especially if I am new to them. I will give them food and water and clean dishes as advised by you. I will take them for a walk or outside to play and go potty depending on what they are up for. Thantita did an amazing job with Toby. I feel like because he’s dark and big he can scare people but he’s really just all looks. She was on the floor playing with him during the meet & greet and you could see he was relaxed around her. She also tended to my one cat that has tummy issues by feeding her canned food. She even added a little water to it to keep her hydrated. She sent really great pics every day too. We got stuck in a snow storm & had to come home a day later and she was there for us kindly continuing to watch our pets. 10/10 she’s fantastic!
