About: We lost our cocker spaniel of 13 years about 2 years ago so I love to take care of dogs now that we don’t have a dog to pamper. We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. We love hanging out in the back yard or the porch with our dog guests and take frequent walks.

About: Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two kids, ages 8 and 11. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I spent many years working at the Humane Society, where I gained extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds. About: I feel strongly about the human animal-bond and I believe your pets deserve the best care possible! My experience goes back to childhood since I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I've watched neighbors' and friends' pets while they were out of town and even watched a friend's horses while she was on vacation. I walked dogs at Anderson Animal Shelter (now Anderson Humane) as a kid. I worked for a pet sitting company for a little over a year in 2020. That year I also began school to become a certified veterinary technician. After two years taking classes full time and completing two externships I became a CVT. My schooling did include kennels- aka walking, cleaning up after and caring for the rescued dogs and cats we learned on (they were adopted out at the end of each semester). I also have helped with pets who were boarding at veterinary offices. I can do medical treatments on your fur baby if necessary. I am open to watching exotic pets. I have a huge admiration for spicy cats. I am your person for house sitting and drop in visits. I will be using Rover for part time work but I do have flexible availability! I have stepped away from full time work all together for the foreseeable future. I am a morning person and I would love to spend some time outside with your pup whatever the weather may be. I enjoy walking outside even in zero degree weather! I am happy to accommodate any routine you need for your fur babies. Greeting your pet is important, especially if I am new to them. I will give them food and water and clean dishes as advised by you. I will take them for a walk or outside to play and go potty depending on what they are up for. If you need pills or treatments or any kind to be administered I can absolutely do that. I will treat your pet, your home and belongings with the utmost respect and responsibility.
About: My wife, son and I have taken care of pets our entire lives. Currently, we have only one elderly cat with special medical needs. Recently retired, we would love to adopt a dog but our frequent travel (to visit grandchildren) makes that a challenge. That travel helps us understand the stress and anxiety of leaving a pet in the care of others. We enjoy walking and playing with dogs (and cats!) and enjoy being in our yard, which opens to a field in the back, perfect for fetch. We will fill the day with a lot of activity and attention in a safe and secure environment. We are home full time and will have plenty of opportunity for walks, play time and potty breaks. During the school year, but my wife and I are home... and in summer months, our young-adult son will help as well. We have a spacious yard but it is not fenced so we would keep your dog on a long leash while outside. At night, we can easily crate, depending on the pet-parents preferences.
About: I have up to a eight years of experience taking care of animals. The most known being cats, dogs, birds, and some farmlife. I also have experience in grooming regarding bathing dogs and cats. This is something I am currently working toward furthering my career in. I am currently unemployed, although I am working on getting a job. I care for two cats at home full time as well as the occasional care of my roommate's pet skink. I have a 7 year old and an 8 month old who is sometimes a full-time job himself. I work from home once a week and go home for lunch daily - this flexibility lets me walk the pups at least 4 times a day.
