I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. Because of Karissa, her household, and her "pack", my puppy is so very happy, calm and socialized around cats, dogs, children, and people out in public. I get adorable updates from her which cheer me up while I'm away at work. Each morning as I pull up to her house my puppy starts barking excitedly and literally runs to her front door. At the end of the day he doesn't want to leave. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals is truly a passion of mine. I currently have one dog and two cats who are a huge part of my family, we love them dearly and treat all pets in our home the same way. About: I been taking of pets since in high school from my own to my neighbors. I love being around animals.it’s a joy to be able to care for pets. About: We’ve provided care for both our own and others' pets since we were children. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted us to feed, water, play with, walk, and board their pets when they travel. Having lived both in the country and in town, we have both loved and cared for our own and others' cats and dogs for several years in several environments. About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was a kid. When I was in high school, my family hosted dogs of all sizes, including one of my favorites, a Burnese Mountain Dog named Ruby. Lately I've had the chance to watch my brother's two dogs (as seen in my bio pics) when he travels. I work a semi-active full time job over the week, with plenty of energy to spare when I'm not working. I am fully available over the weekends from Friday evening straight through to Sunday! I also am free on weekdays for walks or drop-ins as long as it's before 7:30 am or after 5 pm. Your dog will stay in a cozy, smoke-free condo where they are welcome on the furniture and bed. While I don't have a yard, I love taking long, frequent walks around the neighborhood. For their comfort and safety, I host one family at a time and ask that owners provide the dog's preferred bed or crate if possible

“As soon as we had our meet and greet with Annika we knew our dogs would be in good hands. She and Grant provided a warm and welcoming home for our girls while we were out of town for nine days. They took them on walks in the park and played with our ball obsessed Sheltie. Thunder scares our dogs and Annika and Grant snuggled them through the storms. They sent pictures all the time and I was sure Sunny and Dolly were never going to want to come home!
