We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. We love hanging out in the back yard or the porch with our dog guests and take frequent walks.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals is truly a passion of mine. I currently have one dog and two cats who are a huge part of my family, we love them dearly and treat all pets in our home the same way. Recently retired, we would love to adopt a dog but our frequent travel (to visit grandchildren) makes that a challenge. That travel helps us understand the stress and anxiety of leaving a pet in the care of others. We enjoy walking and playing with dogs (and cats!) and enjoy being in our yard, which opens to a field in the back, perfect for fetch. We will fill the day with a lot of activity and attention in a safe and secure environment. We are home full time and will have plenty of opportunity for walks, play time and potty breaks. During the school year, but my wife and I are home... and in summer months, our young-adult son will help as well. We have a spacious yard but it is not fenced so we would keep your dog on a long leash while outside. At night, we can easily crate, depending on the pet-parents preferences.

I did not want our dog to be in a setting with too many other dogs which would make him nervous and on top of that he takes medications. About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was a kid. When I was in high school, my family hosted dogs of all sizes, including one of my favorites, a Burnese Mountain Dog named Ruby. Lately I've had the chance to watch my brother's two dogs (as seen in my bio pics) when he travels. I work a semi-active full time job over the week, with plenty of energy to spare when I'm not working. I am fully available over the weekends from Friday evening straight through to Sunday! I also am free on weekdays for walks or drop-ins as long as it's before 7:30 am or after 5 pm. Your dog will stay in a cozy, smoke-free condo where they are welcome on the furniture and bed. While I don't have a yard, I love taking long, frequent walks around the neighborhood. For their comfort and safety, I host one family at a time and ask that owners provide the dog's preferred bed or crate if possible
