About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and will give your fur baby the same love, care and affection they would get if you were caring for them. I have had experience watching cats and dogs of all sizes for the past 5 years. I absolutely love walking and getting outside and will ensure your dog gets the fun and exercise they need to stay happy and healthy. Or, if your dog or cat isn’t the aerobic type, I will be happy to supply them with all the love and cuddles they could possibly desire. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite things, and I am so excited for the opportunity to get to care for your fur baby. I am currently a full time college student which gives me flexible hours and availability during the work day to give your furry friend the full attention they deserve on walks or drop in visits. I’m a very organized person and will ensure your home stays just as clean and cared for as your fur baby. However you like your pet to be cared for, I am happy to fill their needs! Whether that be fetch in the backyard, walks outside, playing in the house, hanging out on the couch with me (if allowed) or putting them into their crate at the end of the day, I’m happy to care for your pet however they need while keeping your home just as you like it.

“Ash was amazing!! They took excellent care of our two cats and provided consistent communication throughout the visits. I would highly recommend Ash to anyone looking for a pet sitter, they will go above and beyond for you and your pets!”

About: Hi, I’m Nat! Im from Elmhurst IL and have always grown up with cats and dogs at our house! Currently I have a dog and two cats in my own! I have been pet sitting for the past 8 years also! -for boarding… I always have my dad watch my pets so your pet won’t be stressed out with new animals in a different environment! -We live in a house in Elmhurst on a quiet street near a park. We also have a little over 1/2 acre lot for dog to run around in! -I always like to offer a phone call/meet and greet before to get to know me before. This also helps so that I can meet the family and pets beforehand! More than happy to offer any references. -I also currently work with many families and have many references I can offer! -I am comfortable with older/younger dogs since we got our dog as a puppy, and he is now a senior -I am happy to offer oral meds/shot if needed, since I have dealt with both a lot! -A little about me is that I am currently a senior at Benedictine University in Lisle as a Finance major. Your support will help me pay off my college as I finish my last year of school! Thank you so much and can’t wait to meet you and your pets! So grateful I have a job getting to work with animals and wouldn’t be possible without you! Pet care works perfect into my schedule because I have so much flexibility with my online schooling and o can’t wait to meet your pet! Just let me know what you and your pet need and I can provide! What I can offer is topline care for your pet at an affordable rate. I can walk feed and check up on your pets whenever needed. I also will send videos/photos throughout the stay and updates everyday to let you know how your pet is doing!
“Our.pets are our babies and I always feel better knowing I can trust Ashley with them! She was even so kind as to bring in two packages and our mail for us! As long as you still pet sit, Ashley, we'll keep booking you!”

“Amberley was a wonderful sitter. She is reliable, communicative, responds quickly and went above and beyond to take care of our cat. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I feel strongly about the human animal-bond and I believe your pets deserve the best care possible! My experience goes back to childhood since I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I've watched neighbors' and friends' pets while they were out of town and even watched a friend's horses while she was on vacation. I walked dogs at Anderson Animal Shelter (now Anderson Humane) as a kid. I worked for a pet sitting company for a little over a year in 2020. That year I also began school to become a certified veterinary technician. After two years taking classes full time and completing two externships I became a CVT. My schooling did include kennels- aka walking, cleaning up after and caring for the rescued dogs and cats we learned on (they were adopted out at the end of each semester). I also have helped with pets who were boarding at veterinary offices. I can do medical treatments on your fur baby if necessary. I am open to watching exotic pets. I have a huge admiration for spicy cats. I am your person for house sitting and drop in visits. I will be using Rover for part time work but I do have flexible availability! I have stepped away from full time work all together for the foreseeable future. I am a morning person and I would love to spend some time outside with your pup whatever the weather may be. I enjoy walking outside even in zero degree weather! I am happy to accommodate any routine you need for your fur babies. Greeting your pet is important, especially if I am new to them. I will give them food and water and clean dishes as advised by you. I will take them for a walk or outside to play and go potty depending on what they are up for. If you need pills or treatments or any kind to be administered I can absolutely do that. I will treat your pet, your home and belongings with the utmost respect and responsibility.
“Victoria is exactly what you're looking for out of a dog walker. She's been extremely flexible, always on time, and provides a ton of love to our dogs. We're very thankful we found her and appreciate everything she does during her Daphne midday hangouts!”

“Sarah was awesome!! Gizmo was well cared for and loved during her visits. She was able to give him his insulin with no problem. I could tell from the pictures she sent that he liked having her over!!”

“Great job, Claudia, and what a thorough report! You paid great attention to my rambling directions, seemed to know just what to expect and kept an eye out for all I suggested to watch for.”

“Catherine was incredible! I had a last minute business trip out of town and had been stressing about finding someone to watch my two cats. I'm so grateful Catherine was available and will definitely be using her again in the future. She followed directions and went above and beyond. Every day I got multiple pictures and updates on their eating habits, temperament, how play time went, etc. I could feel the love she showed my felines through the updates. My cats can be rather suspicious of new people but they warmed up to her quickly and within a day or two were waiting for her by the door. I think that really speaks to her skill with animals and how much respect and love she shows them. Will definitely be using her services in the future. Cannot recommend Catherine enough. 5 stars all day every day”

“Vivian was fantastic with Hailey! She sent a bunch of photos of her throughout the day and I could tell that Hailey looked very relaxed with her there. I came home and it was relieving to see that Hailey did not seem anxious at all that I had been gone, Vivian clearly had a very calm and loving presence that Hailey felt very comfortable with. Vivian clearly cares very much for treating other’s fur babies as lovingly as she cares for her own. Vivian was respectful and professional from start to finish. I will absolutely use her in the future and I will recommend her to my friends and family as well. Thanks again Vivian!”

“Jordan gives us so much peace of mind when we're out of town! Her attentive care for our kitties always comes through in her detailed and enthusiastic updates :) Definitely our preferred pet sitter when she has the availability for our kitties!”

About: **For the house sitting part of the profile I cannot sleepover at the clients house due to health reasons but I can take the dog(s) out for breaks at anytime.** We have a rescue dog, who was untrained and very high anxiety when we rescued him. Now, he is a fun loving, good listening boy! I probably baby him too much, so if you are looking for someone to be uber strict, that's probably not us. We just want to give love when you're not able to. I am in school part time and I am only looking to take care of a few dogs, so I can work the schedules that they need. I have two dogs that I feed, bathe and train. I like to play with them and I can tell when she's about to get the "zoomies'" , so I play extra hard with her then. Of course I like to snuggle and pet any puppy!
About: We lost our cocker spaniel of 13 years about 2 years ago so I love to take care of dogs now that we don’t have a dog to pamper. We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. We love hanging out in the back yard or the porch with our dog guests and take frequent walks.
“Hannah took such great care of my two kitties while I was away. She did drop-in visits and sent me pictures. I could see that they really warmed up to her! She sent me reports and everything went really well. She will be my first choice the next time I go out of town. Thanks Hannah!”

“Aga was really wonderful with my cat. He is shy and doesn't like to come out when strangers are there. Aga sent pictures and every time he was "out and about." Everything was perfectly in order when I came home. Aga is great and I highly recommend.”
The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Glen Ellyn is $22

Ash did an amazing job with my 3 cats, including administering oral medication for one of them. I got cute pictures and helpful updates after each drop-in. I was nervous to leave them for the first time, but Ash must’ve been great since they weren’t too shy! Highly recommend!!

Victoria was awesome with our 2 cats! She took great care of them and followed our directions precisely. She even helped problem-solve an issue with the automatic feeder to ensure they would be okay after she left. My shy cat seemed very comfortable with her. I would absolutely book with her again. Thanks so much for taking such great care of them!

I am so grateful that Kristen was able to care for my cat Sylvester last minute. She took great care of him and he looked very happy and comfortable with her in the pictures. Kirsten has great communication and I felt comfortable and safe having her in my home. I recommend her and would book with her again!

Edgar and his kids did such a great job taking care of my cat Jake that even though he’s so shy with people he started to feel comfortable and safe with them within a few days. He always had plenty of food and water and Edgar was communicative and sent pictures everyday and text messages everyday. I highly recommend him and his kids. Thank you for taking care of my baby so well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glen Ellyn. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
