About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and will give your fur baby the same love, care and affection they would get if you were caring for them. I have had experience watching cats and dogs of all sizes for the past 5 years. I absolutely love walking and getting outside and will ensure your dog gets the fun and exercise they need to stay happy and healthy. Or, if your dog or cat isn’t the aerobic type, I will be happy to supply them with all the love and cuddles they could possibly desire. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite things, and I am so excited for the opportunity to get to care for your fur baby. I am currently a full time college student which gives me flexible hours and availability during the work day to give your furry friend the full attention they deserve on walks or drop in visits. I’m a very organized person and will ensure your home stays just as clean and cared for as your fur baby. However you like your pet to be cared for, I am happy to fill their needs! Whether that be fetch in the backyard, walks outside, playing in the house, hanging out on the couch with me (if allowed) or putting them into their crate at the end of the day, I’m happy to care for your pet however they need while keeping your home just as you like it.
“Annika is so wonderful! I could not have asked for better care for my girl. I’m so thankful for her help and I know Wink was happy to see her everyday!”

About: Growing up in a cat family, I’ve been loving and caring for cats my whole life! While learning how to write cursive in school, I was learning to scoop cat litter at home. Friends and family have relied on me to check in on their cats daily during their trips, and do everything to make sure the kitties have everything they need as well as keeping them company. I also have experience caring for and walking friends’ and families’ pups. As a college student in the city, I’m super familiar with the area! I’m off for the summer and ready to take on some work with Chicago’s lovely pets. I am very familiar with meeting new cats and dogs- adjusting my behavior based on the animal’s level of comfort with me. I’m super patient and love to spend time caring for (and playing with) the best fluffballs!!
“Alexis was super easy to communicate with, reliable and took great care of our kitty while we were gone! I appreciated getting pictures and updates, and would definitely book with Alexis again next time we need pet care!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of Maru and following all my instructions. Vivian was very communicative before the visit and sent me adorable photos and a report about her visit. I would definitely book her again!”

“Susan was our first ever Rover sitter, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our Ted cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so it's comforting to know he's in good hands when we are gone.”

“Victoria has been a reliable cat sitter, they obviously love her which is very reassuring when we have to leave town. She’s flexible with changes in plan which we really appreciate too”

About: Hello! As a dog owner and a veterinary professional- I understand how hard it is to leave your pet while you’re traveling. Boarding facilities can be stressful for pets and I love to see them thrive in the comfort of their own home. I’ve been a veterinary technician assistant for 8 years. I cannot wait to give your dog the attention you want them to have while you’re away! I promise to take care of yours just like they are mine. Sometimes my work schedule is different and It varies week to week. I can always let pets out for potty breaks while I’m on my break as well as long as your in a 10 minute radius from my work in south wheaton. Il. I love to go on walks and give your pet exercise and let them run out their energy. Experience with puppies and senior dogs! I am a huge advocate of accepting all dogs regardless of their breed. I have gone through fear free certification as well. See you soon! I am working full time but have some days off. Weekends are best for me! If I do work Saturday- it’s 7-1pm for me then I’m able to hang with your pup! Sundays I’m off- always I plan to take care of your baby just like I take care of my own. I have a lot of experience with caring for animals both in a pet sitting setting as well as a medical setting
“Paula did a great job with our two babies. We loved that she came onboard at the very last minute to help us. I tipped her, in gratitude, at the beginning. She’s terrific!!”

About: - I have lots of experience caring for animals and absolutely love spending time with them. - I volunteer at animal shelters, so I’ve had the chance to work with both cats and dogs and learn how to care for all kinds of personalities. -Animals have always come naturally to me, and I usually bond with them really quickly. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. -I’ve learned that every pet is different, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. -Whether your pet is super playful, shy, or just wants extra cuddles, I’m happy to adjust to what they need. - I treat every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and love. Now that school is back in session, I’m available after 3 PM on weekdays. I have a flexible schedule and can adjust my calendar as needed. I’m also available on weekends around my part-time work schedule. On Saturdays and Sundays, I work part time as a pizza worker for about 4 hours, but I can still be available before or after my shifts depending on the timing. The rest of the week I have full availability for pet care and walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine as closely as possible so the pet feels comfortable and safe. I make sure they are fed on time, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, and are walked or played with depending on their needs. I pay close attention to their behavior so I can notice if anything seems off. I also make sure the home stays clean and everything is left how I found it. Most importantly, I treat every pet with patience, care, and respect as if they were my own.

About: I've been a full time veterinary assistant for 5 years now. I've loved animals since I was a child. I pet sit friends and family pets. I am able to take care of your pet before and after work. I can stop by my apartment on my lunch break and take care of your pet, if needed. I do not work on weekends. My apartment has a dog park, but I do like going on long walks. Play time is essential. About: I have vet tech experience, and have had dogs and cats of my own since I was little. I am comfortable with anything from puppies to senior pets, as well as kitties! My availability varies, but typically open most mornings and evenings, and occasionally middays for walks/ drop ins. I can also care for your pet while you are out of town! Happy to be flexible with scheduling. Having a cat myself, I understand the need to have someone safe and loving care for your pet. You can trust that I will be that for them!
About: I am a high-energy individual who loves all types of dogs! Rover is my first "official" platform, but I have been pet-sitting and caring for dogs since I was young. As I got older, I gained more responsibility and more training with the family dog. I have had a lot of experience with adopted dogs, young and old, and promise to provide the best care while you are away. My parent's current dog that I care for often also has given me experience with regular medication/monitoring health concerns while also providing superior care. If your dog loves to play outside, go for a run, soak in the sun and play tug of war (but also sneak a nap in too), I am your pet-sitter! I am currently a fitness coach that works non-normal hours, so I can spend time with your furry baby during the day! I can also stay long hours overnight if needed to keep your pet relaxed while you are away. Depending on the day, your pet could be alone for 4-8 hours a day with me. I will care for the pet's health concerns (including medication), make sure they have ample time outside (weather dependent) for potty time and exercise, and will care for their physical health if requested (ie brush coat or give bath). I will ask about how they interact with other dogs, people, animals so I can protect your pet and keep them safe.
About: TLDR; I treat every pet like the main character. I lost my furbaby to kidney disease in July 2025 and it was absolutely life-shattering. I was so connected to her that she meant the world to me. While I'm not ready for another dog to fulfill my life, I'm ready to open my heart and home to care for your pet. I currently have 2 senior cats in my home. I’ve cared for family members’ dogs and cats over the years, from energetic puppies to calm senior pets. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic medications, enrichment activities, and giving an abundance of affection. Your furbaby gets my full attention and a warm, peaceful home environment. I’m patient, safety-focused, and great at picking up on a pet’s personality—whether they want playtime, snuggles, or a little space. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. If you think we'd be a good fit, let's chat! I have an open and flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to give pets attention, regular outdoor time, and consistent routines throughout the day. In my home, I focus on creating a calm, comfortable, and safe space. I stick closely to your furbaby's usual routines—feeding, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel at ease during their stay. I keep a tidy environment with a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and I make sure they always have fresh water, cozy spots to relax, and plenty of attention.

Vivian did such a great job taking care of our very elderly dog and 2 cats. Our elderly dog can be very high maintenance but Vivian made sure she did everything she could to keep our pup comfortable and us comfortable throughout each visit. Thank you so much Vivian!

Kate was amazing taking care of our kitty and made fast friends with him. She is very reliable and responsible in all aspects of cat care. She sent us lot of great pictures and let us know how he was doing each day. We were happy our kitty was in a such good hands. We will definitely be using Kate again. :-)

Grace is kind, calm, reliable, and communicative. She took the time to play with our cat during every visit, took care of the litter boxes and feedings, and handled some other household things while we were away for the week. Cinnamon quickly came out of her shell and administered many a biscuit and cuddle :D

I am so grateful that Kristen was able to care for my cat Sylvester last minute. She took great care of him and he looked very happy and comfortable with her in the pictures. Kirsten has great communication and I felt comfortable and safe having her in my home. I recommend her and would book with her again!

Edgar and his kids did such a great job taking care of my cat Jake that even though he’s so shy with people he started to feel comfortable and safe with them within a few days. He always had plenty of food and water and Edgar was communicative and sent pictures everyday and text messages everyday. I highly recommend him and his kids. Thank you for taking care of my baby so well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
