“Caroline did a great job watching our cars while we were away! She gave us such peace of mind and was courteous and kind to our house and animals. She communicated great with us and we and our kitties had a great experience. Thank you Caroline!”

“Lauriel was wonderful! My pets were very well taken care of and I don’t even know how much they missed us. They enjoyed her so much! That is how I want to be! She was professional, prompt, and always sent pictures of my dog and cat! We will definitely use her again. She was wonderful.”

About: I have 2 sweet dogs that I have had since they were puppies. I have helped take care of dogs (puppies, elderly, and special needs) and cats while the owners were away. Both of my dogs are 60 pound pit bulls and I walk them at the same time. I love dogs and they bring joy to my life. Every dog deserves the extra attention when their parent can’t give it to them at that moment. I am currently in college, so I have a flexible schedule with lots of availability to walk and play with your amazing pets. I am available most mornings, nights, and weekends In clients' homes, I always clean up and spend plenty of time playing and walking them. I am great with dogs because I have my own puppies and I know plenty of tricks to get their energy out.
About: Have owned and cared for dogs and cats for 13 years, care for them like they are my own children. Rely on me to protect and love your pets! I enjoy walking and playing with dogs while conversing with them like friends. I spend most of my time with my pets and make sure to include them in things like running errands so they are not bored. I can do anything to assist any kind of pets and their necessities. Whether medical needs or preferences, you can trust me to follow any instructions needed for your pet. I will do anything to make sure your pet is comfortable and feels safe at all times.
“Jacqueline was wonderful with our cats, she gave written updates at each visit and was proactive in asking us questions to make sure they were getting the proper care. Would absolutely work with her again!”

“Pets were well taken care of. He shared pictures (but I did not receive the written reports the sitters usually share after every visit). He helped as possible with cleaning poop/throw up my puppy left around the house. Quick to reply to my text messages.”

“It is a pleasure to have Brianna as our pet sitter. She takes the time to acknowledge your pet's needs while keeping them busy and entertained while they are under her care. Having Bri watching your pet while you are away from home is a peace of mind.”

“Eleanor knocked it out of the park. This was a long trip for us, and initially I was worried about being gone so long. She gave us detailed information every day. Her attention to our cats was felt and seen in all the photos, and even my shy cat warmed up to her. My pets definitely missed me, but I could tell it was easier on them having Eleanor drop by every day and give them some love.”

“Jaymie is amazing!! Super great and quick with communication and sent pictures while playing with our kitties. You won't be disappointed. We are already rebooking for a future trip. Five stars!”

About: I’m self employed and have an 80 lb chocolate lab and a cat! I live in Bartlett and love doing long dog walks and drop in visits. I’ve cared for other’s pets for as long as I’ve been able to babysit-about 30 years. I have fairly flexible availability and experience with many breeds and sizes! In our family home we’ve owned our own chihuahuas, labs and German Shepherd (as well as several cats!) over the years. Other dogs seem to warm up to me quickly and I can provide references of people who I’ve dogsat/walked for recently. Also enjoy volunteer dog walking at shelters when I have the chance. (Chicago Canine Rescue, where we adopted 2 dogs and fostered dogs before.) Happy to do a few walks a day or drop in visits, feed, give meds, or just give some pets or hugs. I make my own schedule for work so I have time throughout the day and evening for drop in visits and walks. I do need a day or so notice for services. I have a large fenced backyard and a good path for walks in the neighborhood. I do have one lab and a cat in our home currently.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bartlett
Sophia took such great care of our cats while we were away. Our kitten gets medication morning and night, and she handled it perfectly every visit. She also kept their water full, cleaned all of the litter boxes, and still made sure to spend quality time with them instead of just checking the boxes and leaving. Her updates were one of my favorite parts. They were detailed, authentic, and full of pictures that made us feel like we knew exactly how the cats were doing. You can genuinely tell she cares about the pets she’s watching, and that kind of peace of mind is priceless when you’re away from home. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats, and I honestly don’t think we could’ve asked for a better sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with Sophia again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bartlett. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
