About: I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life! I recently had to put my dog down this past year so I’m feeling the itch to want to take care and love your animals before adopting my own. I’m currently home a lot and work a few nights a week at a comedy club so I have plenty of time to play and spend quality time with your pet. I don’t have a fenced yard but I have a huge back yard so there’s plenty of space for them to run around on a leash! I also love going on walks so they’ll get plenty of exercise.
“Sarah is the very best!!!!!! We loved having her watch our cats and will definitely be booking with her again. She has great cat energy and our two boys love her. We have a litter robot and automatic pet feeder, so we really just wanted someone to check in every couple of days while we were out of the country with no cell service for over a week on our honeymoon. Sarah noticed that one of our cats messed with the feeder machine and it looked like it wasn't dispensing food the right way. Sarah went out of her way to do extra visits to make sure that the cats had food. 10/10, she also helped water my patio garden plants while we were away”

“Taylor was very responsive and helpful, keeping me posted on changes, updates, and how my pets were responding to her in our absence. I would absolutely use her again on future trips, she was very warm and pleasant, and flexible, when we needed, including changing visits, or pick up times, And that flexibility allowed us to have an amazing family vacation. Thanks Taylor for all you do!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and genuinely love spending time with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable and cared for. As a recent Exercise Science graduate, I’m active, responsible, and attentive to detail, so whether your dog needs an energetic walk or a relaxed drop-in visit, I’ll provide dependable care and keep you updated with photos and messages every step of the way. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, feeding, playtime, or companionship while you’re away, I’m happy to work with your schedule and provide dependable, consistent care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your care instructions, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, medications (if applicable), and any routines your pet is used to. I treat every home with respect, make sure pets are secure before leaving, and always strive to create a calm, positive experience so you can feel confident they’re in good hands.

I am good at giving dogs walks and as well have experience in giving cats medicine. I am currently working part time at Costco on the weekends but i am able to pet sit monday’s through fridays Mondays after 5 and Wednesdays after 5. “She went above and beyond with communicating how my elderly cat was doing while we were away. She let me know when my cat had a hard time walking/getting up and when she was doing better. She was also willing to help my cat with her mobility issues. I was very nervous about leaving my 18.5 yr old cat alone, but this communication helped tremendously. I was able to rest assured that my cat was being very well taken care of.”

“Madeline did a great job with Madison especially with kind of a last minute booking so I appreciate her flexibility. She did a great job with my dog and I came home to a happy dog so I would definitely book her again!”

“Evelyn was such a pleasure to meet! My dogs (and even my cat!) quickly took to her. She was gracious enough to search around for any potty accidents when my new puppy escaped from her gated area. My dogs were worn out from all the playing they did. Thank you so much Evelyn!”

About: I have two years of experience training puppies (potty/crate training and beginner-advanced commands). I'm patient and let dogs sniff around as much as they please on walks so they get all that good sensory stimulation! I also live near a dog park, and I love taking dogs out to run around and play. Luckily enough, I work from home and am able to watch dogs throughout the day and night, with the ability to take dogs out on as needed bathroom breaks and to play with/train/walk them a throughout the day. Dogs can feel super safe and comfortable at my home! I have a small fenced backed patio with a grassy area. Since I have a small dog, my home is fairly dog-proof. I have multiple dog beds and a play area, not to mention a big selection of toys to choose from!
About: All Fur Babies Are Family! 🐾 Hey there, pet lovers! I’m all about bringing fun, love, and genuine care to every furry friend I meet. From a young age, animals have held a special place in my heart, and it brings me so much joy to give them the attention and affection they deserve. I started pet sitting and dog walking for friends and family when I was just 13, and it quickly became clear that caring for animals was more than just a hobby—it was a lifelong passion. I’ve also volunteered at a local animal shelter, where I learned the importance of creating a positive, nurturing, and safe environment for every pet. To me, pets aren’t “just pets”—they’re cherished family members who fill our lives with unconditional love and happiness. That’s why I treat every fur baby I care for as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of sharing my home with five large dogs and two cats. Though my beloved pets have since passed, each one taught me something unique about different breeds, personalities, and the special bonds we share with our animals. Whether your furry friend is big or small, playful or shy, you can rest assured they’ll be in caring and capable hands. My goal is to make every visit safe, comfortable, and filled with love—because every pet deserves to feel like part of the family. 💕 I currently work a 9-5 job Monday through Friday. When I am not working will be spending all of my time making sure your fur babies are being taken care of and shown much love! My pet-sitting services are solely offered in the client's home, drop-ins or walking. I will make sure to maintain a safe and happy environment for your pets. I am happy to follow through with your pet's daily routine and schedule. During my stay, I ensure your pet has fresh water and food, and plenty of exercise and playtime to keep them active and healthy. I will take the time to learn your pet's unique needs and behaviors, providing personalized care that promotes both their physical and emotional well-being.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Schaumburg
Mya is so kind, gentle, and patient with my senior cat, who has been having up and down health issues lately. She pays attention to the detailed instructions given for each visit and also takes initiative when problem solving on the spot. Prince and I are very grateful and appreciative of her!

Rena did an amazing job taking care of my two cats. Her drop in notes were very detailed and she took plenty of pictures. Both of my cats seemed to warm up to her quickly, which is great because one is sassy and the other can be skittish. I will use her services again!

Nathalia took wonderful care of my cat, SunTie! She was very responsible, kind, and attentive, and followed his care instructions carefully. I really appreciated the updates and felt comfortable knowing SunTie was in good hands while I was away. I would definitely recommend Nathalia and would be happy to book with her again in the future!
I’m very happy to have found Doreen as a cat sitter. She visits once a day and is reliable, thoughtful, and clearly cares about animals. She even feeds the few feral cats who have taken up residence on my back deck and includes photos of them in her updates. One of my cats is extremely difficult and dislikes just about everyone, but he clearly tolerates her (which is very high praise) and is always waiting for his food when she arrives. My other cat requires two pills daily, and she has no trouble giving them to him.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Schaumburg. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
