About: Ever since I was young, I had friends and family have me take care of there pets because I was never able to have my own. I would take them on walks, feed, and bathe them as if they were my own babies. Last October I got my first pet, my majestic orange feline, Honey Mustard. My friend was not able to keep him anymore so I took him in as my own. A few months later came in my furball of energy, Teddy. Having two pets in my house at once after only having had pets for a week at a time was challenging, but I adjusted very quickly. I am able to give each of them the love and care they deserve and I willing to give that love and care too all pets that need it. I have been at home a lot for the past month because school ended, so everyday I have spent all my hours with Teddy and H&M. Wake up and take Teddy potty, give both of them breakfast. While H&M takes a sun bath I play with Teddy or take him on a long walk so he can catch up with whats going on outside. Give Teddy a nice paw rub after running around in the grass and dirt. Then at four its dinner time and the babies have their own run around time and more play until bedtime. I try my best to match the environment in which the dog or cat is in. My schedule works around the family and their pets so everything the pets are already used to with their schedule, I will do.
“Did a great job caring for my cat. Didn't require a prior meeting and greet and followed my texted care instructions with no problems. Also brought in packages that were delivered without being asked, very appreciated.”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I understand that pets are family. I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and loving care so that pet owners can have peace of mind while they are away. What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and ability to build trust with pets of all ages and personalities. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy who needs consistency and positive reinforcement, an adult dog who enjoys walks and playtime, or a senior pet who requires extra attention and gentle care, I will tailor my approach to meet their unique needs. I pride myself on maintaining routines, providing plenty of exercise and affection, and keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages. My goal is to ensure every pet feels comfortable, happy, and loved while in my care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to create a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I currently have summers off, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. This flexibility enables me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including walks, drop-in visits, boarding, and last-minute requests. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for pets in my care. I have a friendly beagle, a fully fenced yard for supervised play and exercise, and accommodations to help pets feel at home. Whether in my home or a client's home, I follow each pet's routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they are away.
“Maricela did drop in visits for us while we were on a cruise. It was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased. She was super responsive to messages and always checking in. I have such a hard time leaving our pets for vacation but she made that part of the trip so easy for us. I would refer her to anyone who needed pet sitting services. I can’t thank her enough.”

“Anna has been doing drop ins for our puppy and older dog for the past couple of weeks. She is always on time and does a great job with them and providing photos and updates! Highly recommend Anna!”

About: My parents close friends/family members and even some of my best friends have trusted me to watch overnight their pets such as dogs and cats, etc and along with boarding them at our house as the owners were out of town. I have lots of personal experience with my own pets, along with experience with dog watching and walking dogs outside my family dog. I grew up living with dogs and have always had a passion for animals and would love to be able to take care of peoples furry friends. I have a part time job currently so weekdays would be best since some shifts I get off in the afternoon so most evenings I’m free so if I know in advanced when people need me that would be great to work around my schedule. Some mornings I am also free. We have a big back yard but it does not have a fully fenced in yard due to our garage but it is safe and we have a leash to attach dogs too so they can be safe while also roaming in the yard. We also have a dog bed too. Not many toys because our dog is getting older but we can provide treats if needed and make sure they have everything they need. They will also have a furry companion which is our dog Bella. Whenever I watch a dog at someone else’s home I make sure to check and see what instructions they leave for me, make sure they are fed and let outside, and also make sure they are played with.
“Pailin is the most caring and compassionate person and she genuinely loves our lab. He’s truly a member of the family so when we are traveling we always worry about how he’s doing but not when she is watching him. Can’t say enough great things about her!!”

“Raquel did a fantastic job with her drop in visit. She is sweet, kind and professional all around. I trust her to care for my two fur babies under her attentive watch. I would definitely hire her again in the future!”

“Madeline did a great job with Madison especially with kind of a last minute booking so I appreciate her flexibility. She did a great job with my dog and I came home to a happy dog so I would definitely book her again!”

“Mya is always so fantastic with Prince! He is currently struggling with allergies and was standoff-ish and wanting to be left alone, at the beginning. However, Mya is extremely patient and understanding, and she allowed him to have his space. Of course, Prince’s mood shifted and he came around! Thank you, Mya!”

About: I have owned dogs of my own for 20 years. I took care of them and loved them dearly. I also helped friends whenever they asked me to walk or dog-sit for them. “You will not go wrong if you choose Warda. I left my young, shy kitten & came home to her being outgoing, talkative & more playful. Warda is a cat mom & treated my cat as her own. She also found ways to capitalize on the drop-in time for entertainment as it was my cat's time to be left alone without me being there. I know my cat missed me as she hasn't let me out of her sight since my coming home and that warms my heart.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Schaumburg
Kristina was wonderful at taking care of Saga. She was kind, caring and loving. She was great at following directions related to her medication and food. Also, she was prompted answering all my questions. I appreciate your help and support when I was away from home. Thank you.

Mya was amazing from the moment we and the dogs met her. She was very friendly and tentative to the dogs, asked a lot of questions to make sure she was taking care of them as we would! Mya was very easy to communicate with and was also accommodating to our very hectic schedule! We will definitely be booking with her again and if you care about your pets you should book with her as well!

Lia is great!! I have two dogs, one of whom is reactive, and she was completely understanding and willing to work with her. I was super nervous about it, but her knowledge and experience with dogs put my mind at ease super quick. My dogs LOVED her right away, and were so happy to walk with her. 10/10 recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
