About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was a kid. When I was in high school, my family hosted dogs of all sizes, including one of my favorites, a Burnese Mountain Dog named Ruby. Lately I've had the chance to watch my brother's two dogs (as seen in my bio pics) when he travels. I work a semi-active full time job over the week, with plenty of energy to spare when I'm not working. I am fully available over the weekends from Friday evening straight through to Sunday! I also am free on weekdays for walks or drop-ins as long as it's before 7:30 am or after 5 pm. Your dog will stay in a cozy, smoke-free condo where they are welcome on the furniture and bed. While I don't have a yard, I love taking long, frequent walks around the neighborhood. For their comfort and safety, I host one family at a time and ask that owners provide the dog's preferred bed or crate if possible
“I hired Lucia when my regular dog sitter wasn’t available. She is AMAZING!! Lucia stepped in when we needed her and we couldn’t be more pleased. She was conscientious, arrived on time and gave Gracie all of the attention she needed. Aaa+++++ Highly recommend Lucia!!! We hope to use her again!!”

“Evelyn is a god send! She was FABULOUS with our pets. We have a sassy cat and two buns who absolutely loved her! She was prompt on timing and followed all of the directions we had. She met with us before our vacation to meet our furry friends and pick up keys. She sent hilarious updates and pictures. We never had a worry with Evelyn watching our pets. 10 out 10 would book her again.”

About: I have grown up with 3 dogs in the house. I have spent most of my life caring for them. I have also taken care of multiple different family friends’ dogs during vacations. I currently work part time so I have majority availability during the week to walk dogs during the day. I will mainly be working during the week as well I will not be able to take care of dogs inside my own home. In regards to a clients home, I will be respectful of the space and objects and do whatever is asked of me. I am only available for drop in visits, but I will be happy to spent time playing with the dogs and giving them proper attention !
About: I am a high-energy individual who loves all types of dogs! Rover is my first "official" platform, but I have been pet-sitting and caring for dogs since I was young. As I got older, I gained more responsibility and more training with the family dog. I have had a lot of experience with adopted dogs, young and old, and promise to provide the best care while you are away. My parent's current dog that I care for often also has given me experience with regular medication/monitoring health concerns while also providing superior care. If your dog loves to play outside, go for a run, soak in the sun and play tug of war (but also sneak a nap in too), I am your pet-sitter! I am currently a fitness coach that works non-normal hours, so I can spend time with your furry baby during the day! I can also stay long hours overnight if needed to keep your pet relaxed while you are away. Depending on the day, your pet could be alone for 4-8 hours a day with me. I will care for the pet's health concerns (including medication), make sure they have ample time outside (weather dependent) for potty time and exercise, and will care for their physical health if requested (ie brush coat or give bath). I will ask about how they interact with other dogs, people, animals so I can protect your pet and keep them safe.

About: I’ve spent years caring for both children and animals, which has made me patient, attentive, and very dependable. I’ve been pet and house sitting for family and friends for years, caring for dogs of different ages and personalities. I also have an 8-year-old dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’m excited to start offering my services more broadly and provide the same level of care to others. I work a consistent 7:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule during weekdays, but I’m available for morning, evening, and overnight care. I’m able to provide walks, feedings, and quality time before and after work, and I’m fully available on weekends. I’m committed to making sure your pet feels cared for, comfortable, and well-attended. I provide care in your home so your pet can stay comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always respect your space, keep things clean, and follow all instructions closely. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs, whether that’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or extra patience. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.
About: We are a dog-less home since our dog passed about a year ago. I sure do love having visitors, and a dog to love while they are here with me! We adopted our dog 14 years ago at 5 months old, and for the past 10 years I have been very involved with fostering and volunteering for a local rescue. This has given me so much experience with many different dog personalities and helped me learn how to best introduce them to a new environment. I have so much more knowledge about dog behaviors in general since fostering. I have fostered 30+ dogs thus far, handled at adoption shows, transported dogs to vet visits and selected adopters for my fosters. I feel very qualified to give your dog all the care and love they need and deserve while you are away! I am home during the day, and I am very happy to have your dog here to love and spoil while they are in my care. Your dog will always have plenty of love and attention when they are with me, and their needs will always be met. When they are here they are family! I am retired and home all day. If your dog likes to sleep in a room with someone, they can either sleep on the bed with me or on their bed or in their crate in the same room with me We are in a townhome with a walkout patio. I love to spend time outside with the dogs, and they are always secure with a leash or tie out cable. I am always with them. We are very careful about doors opening, and people coming in and out. Your pet is safe with me.
“Gabriela is wonderful! She was able to accommodate a last minute request, which I really appreciated. She is always on time or a few minutes early, which is nice, and is great with my pup.”

About: Ever since I was young, I had friends and family have me take care of there pets because I was never able to have my own. I would take them on walks, feed, and bathe them as if they were my own babies. Last October I got my first pet, my majestic orange feline, Honey Mustard. My friend was not able to keep him anymore so I took him in as my own. A few months later came in my furball of energy, Teddy. Having two pets in my house at once after only having had pets for a week at a time was challenging, but I adjusted very quickly. I am able to give each of them the love and care they deserve and I willing to give that love and care too all pets that need it. I have been at home a lot for the past month because school ended, so everyday I have spent all my hours with Teddy and H&M. Wake up and take Teddy potty, give both of them breakfast. While H&M takes a sun bath I play with Teddy or take him on a long walk so he can catch up with whats going on outside. Give Teddy a nice paw rub after running around in the grass and dirt. Then at four its dinner time and the babies have their own run around time and more play until bedtime. I try my best to match the environment in which the dog or cat is in. My schedule works around the family and their pets so everything the pets are already used to with their schedule, I will do.
“Pailin is the most caring and compassionate person and she genuinely loves our lab. He’s truly a member of the family so when we are traveling we always worry about how he’s doing but not when she is watching him. Can’t say enough great things about her!!”

“Kristina did a fantastic job with our kitties while we were out of town. She was super communicative and flexible with logistics. Would be thrilled to book her again next time we’re out of town.”

About: I have owned a cat/cats, for over 40 years. I have cared for and loved them more than they know. I love having animals in my life. I am a retired veterinary technician so you have no worries. I’m a newer dog owner. Charley is only my second dog but I have been around dogs since I was a child. Once again I have vet tech experience so I can help you not worry while you’re away. I am a homemaker and have all the time in the world to love your babies. Please give me the opportunity to spoil your little ones. I feed my babies twice daily and love them all day. I would gladly do the same for you. My time is yours to utilize.
“Kathleen is a great pet care provider. We booked her on a short notice and she was there immediately to take care of our cat. She was on time every day and make sure she is not only giving food and water to our cat but also try to play with our cat. We saw pictures everyday with a detailed note. It was an excellent experience overall. We will always book her for our pet. Thank you, Kathleen.”
About: I have taken care of my relatives' and friends' dogs throughout the years as well as my sister's. I am a first time dog owner, currently raising a pitty/lab mix myself. I am a special education teacher working at a private school in Wheaton. I get home by 4:00pm on the weekdays, and I am typically available all day on the weekends! I am currently raising my own puppy. She is crate trained and potty trained as well. I do my best to follow instructions given to me by the owner in the safety of their own home.

Amazing experience with Maggie. I really can’t say enough good things about it. She was punctual, flexible, communicative, and kept me updated on everything for my dog. She is competent, responsible, and followed the care for my dog exactly as I had described. It really set my mind at ease while I was across the country. I will definitely look to hire Maggie again.

We had a terrific experience with Hannah coming over to spend time playing with our dog family member. She was engaged, kind, and paid attention to the things that were important to us in our dog’s care. Hannah communicated openly and with ease right from the beginning and asked questions for clarification. Her reports were thorough with the important things and the pictures she took showed us a snapshot of the time they were together. Our dog family member opened up to her right away and felt at ease. I highly recommend Hannah and will call on her as a care provider when needed.
Lia is great!! I have two dogs, one of whom is reactive, and she was completely understanding and willing to work with her. I was super nervous about it, but her knowledge and experience with dogs put my mind at ease super quick. My dogs LOVED her right away, and were so happy to walk with her. 10/10 recommend!

Katherine was amazing. Went above and beyond for my first time using Rover. I have never had a “stranger” come in and take care of Chili, who can be temperamental. She immediately made me feel comfortable and Chili liked her. Very appreciative of her communication and care of him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
