About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have experience caring for and walking dogs for friends and family. I’m comfortable with different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I love staying active, so long walks and playtime are never a problem. I’m patient, reliable, and enjoy sending photo updates and check-ins so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well cared for. I’m currently on summer break, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I have a 2-hour practice each day, but outside of that I am available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I always follow the pet owner’s instructions to make sure their pet stays comfortable and maintains their normal routine. In a client’s home, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention while keeping the space clean and secure. I also send regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for. I adjust my care to each pet’s personality, energy level, and specific needs to help them feel safe and comfortable.
“Velvet was great looking after our cat. Responsive and came with specific questions about how to look after him. She also went above and beyond when we had some surprise flooding in our basement. Will book again”

“This is our second time having Adriana take care of Caius and she has been so great. She always sends us pictures of him which makes us feel comfortable while we’re away. Caius is usually pretty reactive and needs some time warming up to people and it seems as though he really has with her. It speaks to how great she is with animals. Thanks Adriana! ❤️”

“Odalys went above and beyond with my five cats while I was on vacation. She updated me at every visit as to how they were all doing. My cats enjoyed her company. She followed all of my instructions. I would definitely have her take care of my cats again when I go on my next vacation...without hesitation!”

“Susan was our first ever Rover sitter, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our Ted cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so it's comforting to know he's in good hands when we are gone.”

“I work a job with call, so sometimes I don’t get to go home or I work long hours. Beth is always available to take care of my fuzzy babies at short notice. She does an excellent job and is VERY much appreciated by myself and my pups!”

About: I currently have two cats (ages 2 and 3) and I'm experienced with giving daily medication, so I'm comfortable with pets who need extra care. Dogs, hold a special place in my heart. I'm hoping to have a few of my own someday, but for now, I'd love to spend time with yours — walks, playtime, and becoming good friends. Looking forward to meeting your pets! I’m currently looking for new work opportunities, which leaves me with a lot of free time to spend with animals. And maybe even become a full-time pet sitter. As I have my own two cats, I prefer to pet sit or visit your home to spend time with the pets in their own environment. I can walk the familiar routes or take dogs for longer walks in the park.
“Jonie is a true cat whisperer! She immediately connected with my shy girl—had her eating out of the palm of her hand in no time. Punctual, communicative, and caring. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!"”

“Theresa is awesome. She is the best sister that I have met. I have a German shepherd that does not get along easily with anyone or any dog but she handles him very well. Only take her 2 days and Rex loves her. He brings toy and gives her kisses on second day. It is even surprise me. She is the best. Highly recommend!!”

“Jenny is so great with our dog and our puppy! We have loved using her the last few weeks and will continue to use her for as long as possible! We look forward to her pictures and detailed updates every time. Thanks Jenny!”

About: I've been exposed to dogs all my life. I remember taking care of my grandma's golden, Tabasco, ever since I was a little kid. After having an English Cream golden retriever for 10 years, I now have a pandemic puppy, Enzo, another golden. I've had almost a full year of experience working as a Kennel Attendant at an animal hospital/boarding facility, where I: -Maintained proper animal environment by cleaning kennels, and provided fresh bedding and water at all times. -I prepared and distributed prescribed diets, and administered medication. -Assisted doctors and technicians as needed, as well as clients -Learned proper animal restraint, and supervised large groups of pets. -Assisted grooming staff with bathing and handling. I’m currently working from home and am flexible in when I can take breaks throughout the day (I typically work from Monday - Friday from 8-5:30). I’m free on weeknights and all day on weekends. I live in a spacious home in Addison, IL with a fenced-in yard. It’s large enough to house a couple pets at a time and within walking distance of a dog park.
About: From my childhood being with dogs have been my best friends. I adore their loyalty. I love spending time with them and see them happy. Dogs are a huge part of my life, I can't imagine not having them around me. To be with them and take care of dogs is what I prefer and have fun doing. I can so relate to every dog owners wish for the best care of their dog, just how I do with mine. I'm trustworthy and reliable. I would tend to your dog as much as I do to my own. I love and respect them so much. Dogs enlighten my life. I'm very easy going and flexible person. Tending to dogs comes natural to me because I appreciate them so much. I'm mostly home and don't leave the dogs alone at all. I enjoy going for long walks to the nearest parks and play and hang out with your dog as much as I do with mine.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
