“Maricela did drop in visits for us while we were on a cruise. It was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased. She was super responsive to messages and always checking in. I have such a hard time leaving our pets for vacation but she made that part of the trip so easy for us. I would refer her to anyone who needed pet sitting services. I can’t thank her enough.”

“Harley followed our instructions and provided prompt updates. The photos she provided proved that her care was no less than what I would provide for my own dogs. I know my pups look forward to the next visit.”

“Jan was a wonderful find! She was available on short notice to come check in on our pup when we went on an overnight trip. She’s very kind and professional and does a great job communicating throughout the visit. We will definitely be using her for our future dog watching needs!”

“Maria was great! She was an excellent communicator and always reached out for anything amiss. She gave our pups lots of love and really went above and beyond! Would highly recommend her!”

About: I love the quote by Mark Twain: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That’s exactly how I feel about pet sitting. I grew up with animals and currently have two cats, Loki and Oreo. I also have experience working with dogs, cats and volunteer with local animal welfare organizations as well as worked with companies in the past. If you’d like to learn more, feel free to reach out! 🐾
“Thank you for taking great care of Mac! I really appreciated the detailed pictures and notes that you left, I could tell that he was happy and relaxed from his walk when I got home from work. Amazing service!”

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs. I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for pets of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Pit bulls have always had a special place in my heart, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away! I have a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate different care needs throughout the week. “Dana did a great job with our girls who warmed up to her really quickly. We appreciated her sending us photos and giving us updates how they were doing. Thank you again Dana!”

“This is my second time booking with Giselle and she was, again, amazing with my two cats. They are quite active and mischievous, and got into some trouble while I was away. Giselle seemed patient with them and cared for them well.”

“Collette kept us informed on the well-being of our cats for our whole trip, which made it so much easier to enjoy ourselves. She was able to coax our shy and introverted kitty out of hiding while we were gone, and took very good care of both.”

“Sara was wonderful and took care of my 3 cats while away for a week on a trip! She was very responsive and communicated and shared photos from each visit. She was friendly and great to know of a local pet sitter within our neighborhood! Highly recommend.”

I would highly recommend Jamie! She recently completed a drop in visit for our dog and cat- during the meet and greet my dog was completely OBSESSED with her and based on the updates I received, his love for Jamie was still strong! Jamie followed instructions and left our home in excellent condition. I would gladly use her services again ☺️

Jennifer is such a kind soul! She goes above and beyond for your pup and will do everything she can to make sure they are comfortable. My pup is pretty scared of storms and Jennifer carried him down to the basement to make him feel comfortable in his safe space. She’d also let me know of any behavioral concerns like increased anxiety or if my pup was having an off day. I can’t say enough good things about Jennifer. 🙂 I would 110% recommend her to folks looking for peace of mind that your pet will be well cared for and in good hands. Thank you for everything that you do Jennifer!!

Klaudia is wonderful! She went above and beyond on her drop-in visit with our pup, bringing in packages from the front door and bringing in our trash bins without even being asked! We can't wait to have her staying with our girl next time we travel. Have a wonderful holiday and happy new year, Klaudia!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
