About: We lost our cocker spaniel of 13 years about 2 years ago so I love to take care of dogs now that we don’t have a dog to pamper. We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. We love hanging out in the back yard or the porch with our dog guests and take frequent walks.

About: Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two kids, ages 8 and 11. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I spent many years working at the Humane Society, where I gained extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds. I worked in a busy kennel environment with multiple dogs at a time, including dogs with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and difficult past experiences. I’m excited to be back on Rover after taking several years away to raise my two kids! Now that they’re both in school full time, I’m happy to have more time to get back to doing what I love, caring for animals. Our family has always been passionate about rescue animals. Over the past few years, we sadly lost our three senior rescue dogs and our senior rescue cat, all of whom were very loved members of our family. About: I have had dogs most of my life. From my childhood dog to the ones I raised as an adult. I have potty-trained dogs to use a bell to indicate they have to go out, taught them to back away from table food, and to give up stolen items. I will treat your dog lovingly and as if they are my own. I am mostly retired and home the majority of the day. The dog will go no longer than 4 hours without a potty break, and most days it will be shorter than that. Your pet will be the only one in the house with me. I block off my stairs so the dog is always very close and mostly within eyesight.
