I am currently working from home remotely in the medical field with a very flexible schedule and love walks in the mornings, afternoons and nights as we do this everyday with our twin girls. During dog sits I walk pups on an average of 3-5 times a day.

I take the utmost care for your fur baby! Huge fenced in yard for pups to roam, run and Play! Doggy Park kiddie corner from my home in Elmhurst (see pics). Pups are taken outside several times a day for lots of outside time depending on weather. They are never left alone in the fenced in yard and twin daughters age 6 highly trained to be around animals and know their distance however if allowed love to play as well. Please make sure to have your pets up to date on shots and flea and tick prevention. Especially since the bigger dogs are free to roam the fenced in yard. You can feel confident that the safety and environment while here in my home will be taken. Remember to always include a paper bio as well as all important information for your pet. Pets are allowed on all furniture and can freely enjoy my open concept within my home with a nice bay window for sun and outdoor view. I only take in one pet per day unless you have multiples from the same household for safety reason I like to only take one family at a time. Pets allowed to roam the home at all times 24/7, however please note any damage to blinds, furniture will be at your cost. We try to watch them super closely to avoid home furniture damages, but we do understand some pups have anxiety or are still in training. Please make sure to advise if your pup/puppies are in a stage of chewing/biting furniture or any habits that may need extra attention. Ty

Information Iris L. would like to know about your pet
I rely on accurate times and what is entered when you make the reservation. Please let me know any medications or special care that is needed. I don't mind administrating medication to your pup or cat. Crate trained or not. Also, if they use peed pads etc. please before you decide to book/board make sure your pet is seen by vet to determine necessary meds needed for anxiety. it is also crucial that you provide any and all anxiety medications for your pup if it’s their first time or have any separation issues. Please provide cbd, Xanax etc. an old shirt you have worn works great. For seniors who have eye sight issues and hearing it’s really truly important for anxiety meds. They often get confused at their new environment vet appt recommendation before stay. They could exhibit anxiety symptoms (blood in stool) and bark a lot in a new environment and have confusion. Often with poor eyesight and hearing they need to navigate a brand new environment. Helping to keep your pups relaxed and at ease is important. Please add your spouse/partner to the account. Add emergency contacts as well and Vet info. I'm here to secure the safety of your fur baby and treat them as part of my family and I'd like to know as much as I can to accommodate all their needs.
A typical day
My routine begins at 6:00 am. Outside time begins along with feedings. Lots of yard time during the day. Simple routine with lots time for fur babies. I’ve been taking care of fur babies for over 18 years and have no problem fitting a fur baby into a routine. I do prefer late am drop offs (after 09:00 a.m.) but open to other times. I also have Twin girls - 6 years old, so there are times or things that can come up such as doctor appts I may need to bring them to. In general pics and updates are in the am and late afternoon/pm. I do allow meet n greets prior if scheduled. Pups are never crated unless specified from the owner. Pups are free to roam my home. I typically do not drive to pick up or drop off unless u live within a 5 minute radius of my home.

Reviews

Iris is fantastic! She is so attentive and caring, and she and her family gave our doggy so much love and TLC. Iris is a natural with dogs and ours can’t wait til she and her crew care for her again!

Iris is amazing. So good with my puppy. Her knowledge of pets are fantastic. She goes over and above what she needs to do. Highly recommended

Iris and her family were wonderful with my dog. I received so many pictures and Romeo looked so happy. Thank you Iris for being so sweet, kind and caring with me and Romeo. We love you so much :). I found the best doggy sitter for my baby.

Nugget loved all the affection Iris gave her! She went home exhausted from her fun day. Will definitely be back next time we’re out of town
