“Arielle was wonderful with Charlie! She kept me updated, took great care of him, and made sure he felt comfortable. I really appreciate her kindness and patience. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah was great. She took very good care of my dog and cat and kept me updated with photos and recaps of their activities. She obviously loves animals and I felt my boys were very safe in her care--I recommend her highly.”

“Amberley was wonderful - communicative, flexible, incredibly kind and took wonderful care of Wrigley on short notice. We especially appreciated photos and updates and the frequent walks and outside time he got in her care. So thankful!”

“Danielle was just AWESOME! Our pup was so well taken care of and had a blast with the other pups too! Danielle gave us great updates and pictures each day that we were away. We have had a couple of sitters on Rover and Danielle is by far the best! We will definitely be booking with her from now on!*”

“We left our Sheltie, Molly, with Erica for 7 nights while we were on a cruise, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! She is incredibly kind, caring, and professional. Molly seemed to have a wonderful time with her and her dog, Rocky. We truly appreciated the updates and the love she showed our pup. Plus, her home is conveniently located just 10 minutes from O’Hare, making pickup after travel super easy. We will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog loves Lyn and family! We’re so grateful we can leave her with someone we trust and pick her up as soon as we get home from the airport. Our dog loves the backyard and the chance to play with other dogs staying here! Huge thanks to them always!”

“Once again, Michelle and her family took incredible care of Bilbo! They truly treat him like one of their own, and it brings so much peace of mind knowing he’s getting just as much love as he gives. The regular updates and photos keep me completely at ease while I'm away. We couldn't ask for a better sitter and cannot recommend Michelle highly enough!”

“Mary was fantastic with Baxter. He came home happy and not stressed (which is not usually the case when we stays away from home)! I will use Mary again for future pet sitting needs!”
“This was my first time using Rover, and Justine and Brett were great! It looks like my doggo had a good time, and I felt very secure leaving him with Justine and Brett. I got photos every day, and it looked like he was having a blast. My flight home got delayed, and J&B were gracious and flexible. I’ll for sure use them again for dog care.”

“This was the second time and on this particular occasion for a longer period of time that I utilized Will as a sitter. I believe that my pet was again well cared for and it was great to receive pictures of my pet when she was in the care of Will. I’m sure my pet was much happier being in the care of Will than in a kennel with a dozen other dogs.”

“John took good care of both of my dogs! He was very communicative and cared for them deeply—they didn't want to leave when I picked them up! We will definitely bring our dogs back to John when the opportunity arises!”

“Valentina took such great care of our dog while we were away. She kept us updated daily with pictures and made sure he had plenty of fun. We would highly recommend Valentina to other pet owners, as she is very knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does!”

“Gabriela and Richard were so kind and sweet with my toy poodle! They even took her on little adventures to get doggie ice cream and nice walks around the neighborhood, aside from plenty of outside time in their own fenced-in backyard! Gabriela was super great about texting updates and super cute pics of my girl! And they even got her to eat a good bit while I was away even though she usually tries to go on a hunger strike in my absence. Gabriela met us for like 15 mins at the local park before boarding and got to know my dog and garner some info from me, which I really appreciated and not a lot of boarders do that! My girl was very happy when I picked her up and I would absolutely rebook Gabriela and Richard! Highly recommend!”

“Melissa is amazing! She kept me updated daily and even sent pictures!! I felt at ease knowing my pup was been very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend her!”

“This was our second time leaving Maggie with Robert, and once again, it was a great experience. He sent regular updates with videos and pictures, which made it so easy to feel comfortable while we were away. Maggie got tons of playtime and socialization with the other pups, and she came home happy and tired. We really appreciate the care Robert gives her and will definitely book with him again in the future!”

“Shirley was a natural with Snowflake. It was like they were already old pals even though this was her first stay. I appreciated Shirley keeping updated with great pictures; that kept me at ease. And she was great with her communication. Thanks so much Shirley!!”

“Patricia took great care of Tess for us! She was very communicative and send lots of updates. Tess came home happy and healthy! We would definitely ask Patricia to help us with Tess again”

“This was our first time using Rover and Liz was great! Bella was a little anxious at first, especially staying in someone else’s house, and Liz was very communicative about that concern. We got photo and video updates every day of the stay and appreciated the quick responses when we asked for updates. We don’t travel often, so it really put us at ease seeing Bella’s happy face running in the yard and knowing she was taken care of!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Addison
We just had our dog Frida stay with Iris for 6 days and could not be happier with the absolute best care Frida received. We are first timers with Rover and were a bit hesitant doing a service. Frida is an 8lb little dog and wanted someone who does one dog/family at a time and this is what Iris does. We were so happy to find this with Iris. Her whole family loved and cared for our Frida and we are so appreciative for this special and kind care. We 100% recommend Iris and definitely found a great pet sitter. Also, I like that Frida was never left alone the whole 6 days. I was afraid she wouldn't want to come home lol. Book with Iris!!!

Amberley did a great job watching my dog, Herbie! She sent plenty of updates throughout his stay, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. When Herbie wasn't interested in eating his dog food, she even took the time to make him some chicken to make sure he ate. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and treated him like her own. I would definitely book with Amberley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

Karin really came through for us and our pup on a last minute booking. After a meetup with her and her dog we determined that she would be a great fit to care for our little guy. Karin was responsive and sent photo updates regularly throughout the stay. This helped to put us at ease since it is a new puppy to us and a very young dog. Can’t recommend Karin enough and we are grateful to have found someone so close to us that we can hopefully use in the future! Thanks again!

Danielle was fantastic! Communication was great and Pete seemed to really enjoy his stay. I would 100% recommend Danielle’s services and I will for sure rebook for my next trip. It is so nice to know my dog is being well taken care of and loved as their own while I’m out of town!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
