“Amberley and Matt were great to meet and work with for boarding our dog Stella. You do not always know in advance how your dog and other dogs will be compatible. We received daily updates of walks , acitivity , pics , and compatibility. Thanks Amberley and Matt for taking such good care of Stella while we were away. —- Peter”

“Shirley is super sitter. Sent me cool slo mo vid of my pooch playing tricks. I was traveling thru and wanted to go to show in Chicago. She came to motel and picked up Bella. Highly recommend Shirley !!”

“Gabriela and Richard were so kind and sweet with my toy poodle! They even took her on little adventures to get doggie ice cream and nice walks around the neighborhood, aside from plenty of outside time in their own fenced-in backyard! Gabriela was super great about texting updates and super cute pics of my girl! And they even got her to eat a good bit while I was away even though she usually tries to go on a hunger strike in my absence. Gabriela met us for like 15 mins at the local park before boarding and got to know my dog and garner some info from me, which I really appreciated and not a lot of boarders do that! My girl was very happy when I picked her up and I would absolutely rebook Gabriela and Richard! Highly recommend!”

“Brian was great. We had some anxiety leaving our dog in an unfamiliar place but Brian was wonderful with him and put our minds at ease. He asked questions and took notes on everything we told him during the meet and greet. He gave updates throughout our trip to show our dog was enjoying. We will definitely be using Brian again.”

“Just the best kind of person, home and family to leave my somewhat anxious dog. Danielle is just great! Charlie came back to us after one week, so mellow and calm. We believe he misses all of his friends! We know if he could speak, he would let us know he definitely wanted to go back to the house in Villa Park....Thanks again, Danielle. John and Sharon”

“Angelica was fantastic. Pluto came back in a very good mood and was relaxed at home, which says to me that he had a good time and felt safe with her and her dogs. I booked with Angelica last minute due to a cancellation and I am so glad I did! Thanks again.”

“Kent was available at a weeks notice and fast to respond. Immediate rapport with our dog, very attentive and asked questions to make sure he knew exactly what to do in terms of food, medication, etc. Very positive experience, definitely recommended.”

“Justine and Brett were amazing to work with. We were first time rover users and from the first message I sent they were great with communicating and setting up the booking. They were super friendly and welcoming. You can also be confident that with Justine’s background working with pets she knows what questions to ask to take the best care of your dog and they really do treat your dog like their own. One of my favorite parts was how they sent pictures of our dog playing and kept us updated throughout the weekend. Highly recommend and we will be booking again!”

“Cheryl did a great job of making my dogs feel comfortable in her home!! I appreciate all the pictures she sent and the text communication. I would definitely utilize her services again.”

“Lynn and her family are truly animal people. They were so good with my Great Dane, Frank. They helped him get over his initial nervousness and played with him every day. I would 100% rebook with them! Thanks again!”

“Jan was a dream dog sitter! Our elderly dog was comfortable and so carefully cared for under Jan’s care. She was responsive, flexible, communicative, and takes great pride in her individualized care of each dog she cares for. You can trust Jan- she is amazing!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Elmhurst
We just had our dog Frida stay with Iris for 6 days and could not be happier with the absolute best care Frida received. We are first timers with Rover and were a bit hesitant doing a service. Frida is an 8lb little dog and wanted someone who does one dog/family at a time and this is what Iris does. We were so happy to find this with Iris. Her whole family loved and cared for our Frida and we are so appreciative for this special and kind care. We 100% recommend Iris and definitely found a great pet sitter. Also, I like that Frida was never left alone the whole 6 days. I was afraid she wouldn't want to come home lol. Book with Iris!!!

Karin really came through for us and our pup on a last minute booking. After a meetup with her and her dog we determined that she would be a great fit to care for our little guy. Karin was responsive and sent photo updates regularly throughout the stay. This helped to put us at ease since it is a new puppy to us and a very young dog. Can’t recommend Karin enough and we are grateful to have found someone so close to us that we can hopefully use in the future! Thanks again!

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
