Doggy Day Care in Elmhurst

About: I worked at a doggy daycare/boarding for a year. I have experience with all different breeds of dogs. I have a flexible schedule and I’m willing to work with your busy schedule. I have some experience with animals on medications. I’m organized and always on time. You can always depend on me to make sure your furry friend is always taken care of. I’ll make sure to send you updates about your dog. I’ll make sure your dog has let out some pent up energy. I’m super playful and loving with all dogs and will give them extra love for you. I love all animals and I can’t wait to meet yours! I work full time remotely so I have time to be with your family member all the time if needed. I work 8-4 where it’s flexible timing. I believe all animals deserve love and affection. I’m patient if your furry friend needs more time to warm up to me or if they need space. I live in an animal friendly apartment complex with plenty of open grass and a playground down the street that your pet will enjoy.

About: I worked in the doggy daycare industry for over 5 years and have plenty of experience caring for dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Shortly after leaving the industry to pursue another career path, I ended up really missing my camp days so i started dog sitting for family, friends and any/all of their referrals. It’s been about 5-6 years of helping family/friends with their pups and now that I have more freedom working from home, I’d love to share my time with your furry friends/family. I currently work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. Working from home gives me more availability for any of your last minute needs. I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for playing fetch/catch to burn off a little extra energy. If your pup isn’t as active, they can use the space for a nice sunbathing session.

About: I've been a Dog Groomer now for 17 years (in-home business owner/Grooming School Graduate 2008) with extensive experience in all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including anxious and energetic pups. Additionally I have high experience in Petcare, Nutrition, CPR Certified, behavioral and working with dogs from all walks of life. I've taking care of pets with medical needs from administrating injections, oral meds, routine therapy on special needs dogs/cats (per owner/therapist instructions), providing companionship, cooking nutritional food and taking pets for walks. I have repeating clients and some from local foster rescues I work within Elmhurst and Chicago (references upon request). I live with my husband and twin daughters (5 yr old) trained to be around dogs and currently no pets (pup passed 2 years ago). I'm open to help and watch your pup/cat for your needs. I am currently working from home remotely in the medical field with a very flexible schedule and love walks in the mornings, afternoons and nights as we do this everyday with our twin girls. During dog sits I walk pups on an average of 3-5 times a day. I take the utmost care for your fur baby! Huge fenced in yard for pups to roam, run and Play! Doggy Park kiddie corner from my home in Elmhurst (see pics). Pups are taken outside several times a day for lots of outside time depending on weather. They are never left alone in the fenced in yard and twin daughters age 5 highly trained to be around animals and know their distance however if allowed love to play as well. Please make sure to have your pets up to date on shots and flea and tick prevention. Especially since the bigger dogs are free to roam the fenced in yard. You can feel confident that the safety and environment while here in my home will be taken. Remember to always include a paper bio as well as all important information for your pet. Pets are allowed on all furniture and can freely enjoy my open concept within my home with a nice bay window for sun and outdoor view. I only take in one pet per day unless you have multiples from the same household for safety reason I like to only take one family at a time.

About: My husband and I have both had dogs our entire life. We now have a 9 year old pointer mix who loves a friend every now and then. We have a fully fenced very large back yard for running around. We have food bowls and a crate. We will mainly care for dogs on the weekends when we are home. We usually do a long morning walk as a family. We spend a lot of time outside and almost always have our dog with us. Yours will fit right in and enjoy a lot of play time! We have a large fenced in yard, another sweet dog to play with and a crate if needed or preferred! We have multiple dog begs and welcome any security items form home.

About: I have owned 3 dogs (Shih Tzu's) but currently do not own any pets. I like to send the owner pictures so that I keep them updated on the doggie's fun day. I am very loving towards animals and enjoy caring for them. I love taking walks and would be happy to bring yours with :) I am currently available every day of the week except Tuesday's. However, sometimes it may change, but very rare. I can always change my available days around if need be with property notice. I have a nice size yard for playing and a clean home. Most part of my yard is fenced in. If doggie is trained, I walk him/her outside

About: Hi Pet Parents! My husband’s “cat and certain dogs” allergy has evolved into a full blown, dangerous asthma situation with all fur babies. (Yes, he’s tried the inhalers, etc). It has become painfully clear, having pets with dander in our home is impossible. I DO love my husband, but I miss having fur babies around! As someone who has so much LOVE for and experience with animals, I have always helped others with their pets. It was a JOY to me even when I had pets of my own! I have found myself offering to walk friends’ dogs because I miss my own. It suddenly hit me I should sign up with Rover, so I can spend some time with pets looking for attention while their people are out. I have always had four-legged fur pets, but also fish, frogs and lizards and more. I have saved baby birds, random stray, sick and/or injured animals and have domesticated several feral cats. My interest in and care for all animals is constant. I am a Registered Nurse for humans, so I have extra knowledge, comfort and comprehension regarding medications. Between being an RN and a MOM, I’ve got the bases covered on attention to details, noticing subtle changes in pet’s behaviors and the art of double/triple checking things. While my motivation to sign up with Rover was my love for animals and a sincere selfish need to love some dogs and cats, my resume has me very prepared to manage my business and communications professionally. I have also hired sitters for my own pets during travel or long work days and know the awkward discomfort about having someone in my home and/or taking my pet somewhere. “Will they be as careful as I am so my cat doesn’t escape when they open the door?” Or “will they pay attention on the walk with other pets or kids are around? What if my dog gets away because they’re not being careful?” Or, as a former owner of a dog with a sensitive tummy, “do they get it that she CAN’T EAT ANYTHING on their walk - will they pay close enough attention?” Pet care can be a worry to distraction, when you could feel so at ease you actually forget someone else is coming in! When time allows, please tell me your typical routine and commands used, if your dog has allergies, takes medications, an injury, personality triggers. We will talk about whatever is specific to your fur family member, so I can provide the very best experience possible for both of you. In the case of an emergency or special circumstance when the luxury of time is not there to discuss details, you need a sitter who feels comfortable stepping in with your pet and caring for them with love, respect and confidence in your absence. I am your person! Whether your fur family members are dogs or cats, I will love them as my own. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your pets! *Please Note* my children are 7 and 9 years old. They LOVE animals. Your pets will be loved and very well socialized by them, which is a bonus for most. That said, many pups are not at all interested in kids or the noise that they bring. If your pup just does not enjoy kids, this Doggy Day Care location would not be a comfortable fit for them. If your young puppy needs the socialization, we’ve got you covered! Due to my husband’s allergies, we cannot book overnights.
