About: We lost our cocker spaniel of 13 years about 2 years ago so I love to take care of dogs now that we don’t have a dog to pamper. We care for one dog at a time unless two dogs are siblings or good friends then that’s OK. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park nearby or just snuggle on the couch and chill with them. I realize how important your baby is to you and will give them love, companionship and special care. We love having a dog around. I’m retired and an empty nester so I am flexible and around all the time. I love to walk around Lake Ellyn Park and Glenbard West HS just down my street. We also like to sit on the front porch in the shade (gated) and watch the world go by. It’s a dead end street; so it’s very relaxed & chill. We are a few blocks from Main Street and town. We love hanging out in the back yard or the porch with our dog guests and take frequent walks.

About: We’re a dog-loving couple who genuinely enjoy having dogs around, and we’d love to welcome your pup into our home! We have a friendly, easygoing Golden Retriever/ Australian Shepherd of our own who loves having company, so boarding with us is a win-win: your dog gets a loving home and a built-in furry friend, while our dog gets a buddy to hang out with. 🐾 We both work from home, so your pup will have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left home alone for long periods. Our home also has a doggie door leading to a fully fenced yard, giving dogs the freedom to go outside and come back in as they please while we’re home to keep an eye on things. Our own dog is incredibly easygoing and low-maintenance, and over the years we realized how expensive boarding can be - even for dogs who are happy, friendly, and super easy to care for. That’s what inspired us to become Rover sitters! We want to offer an option for owners of dogs who don’t need a ton of special attention but still deserve to be loved and cared for while their humans are away. Our schedules allow us to provide regular supervision, playtime, and outdoor breaks throughout the day ❤️ We only accept boarding dates when we know we’ll be available to care for your pup. If something unexpected comes up that requires us to be away for an extended period, we’ll communicate clearly with you ahead of time. 🐾 Your dog will have plenty of room to relax and explore in our fully fenced yard, giving them the freedom to enjoy some outdoor time in a safe, enclosed space. We have a doggie door built into our storm door that the dogs are welcome to use throughout the day, so they can go in and out as they please. We can also close the doggie door when the weather isn’t suitable. Fresh water is always available, with water bowls kept filled throughout the day. 🐾 Our home is also shared with our very friendly 60-pound, 3-year-old Golden Aussie, who absolutely loves meeting new dogs and having new friends to play with! We’ll make sure introductions are comfortable and that all dogs have a safe, relaxed environment during their stay. ❤️

About: Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two kids, ages 8 and 11. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I spent many years working at the Humane Society, where I gained extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds. I worked in a busy kennel environment with multiple dogs at a time, including dogs with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and difficult past experiences. I’m excited to be back on Rover after taking several years away to raise my two kids! Now that they’re both in school full time, I’m happy to have more time to get back to doing what I love, caring for animals. Our family has always been passionate about rescue animals. Over the past few years, we sadly lost our three senior rescue dogs and our senior rescue cat, all of whom were very loved members of our family. We now have one sweet, outgoing rescue cat, who is an important part of our family. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I believe in patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement, and I take the time to get to know each animal as an individual.
