“Sarah was excellent! She sent us photos and updates of our dog Gus while we were out of the country for two weeks. She was understanding and able to care for our senior dog with special needs. Would highly recommend!”

“Amberly was super accommodating and was a lifesaver when our sitter canceled last minute, and our pup had so much fun playing that she slept like a rock when we brought her home! Also she took amazing photos of our pup as an added plus :)”

“Shirley is fantastic with both our dog (medium size hound mix) and cat. Our dog gets so excited when she realizes she is going to stay with Shirley. Very responsive and responsible and communicates well with pics every day. We never worry about their wellbeing while in Shirley’s care.”

“the perfect place for a pup! my dog seemed to have the most fun time and was immediately snuggling with the family :) they made him (and myself) feel so comfortable and safe! I will definitely be coming back :)”

“Matt and Michelle took great care of Sydney and Lucy while we were gone for 9 days. They kept us updated while we were gone and sent us photos. We would use them again! Thanks guys!”

“David and Susan were easy to schedule with and very accommodating for our dog! They hosted our lab for a long vacation and made sure she was loved while we were away! Thank you!”

“I try to always tip in cash. For some reason I don't know I just feel like it's safer. But I won't let my cat stay with anybody else for Katie. Katie makes your animal feel like they are one of her family. My cat is very skittish and afraid of strangers. But not with Katie. She is absolutely the best! If you want the best than book with Katie!”

“Michelle did a wonderful job caring for my puppy, Mabel. She was an excellent communicator, kept me updated and sent the cutest photos throughout Mabel's stay. As anyone with a puppy knows, they can be full of energy and a little chaotic at times, but Michelle handled Mabel's craziness with patience and confidence.”

“Arielle was wonderful with Charlie! She kept me updated, took great care of him, and made sure he felt comfortable. I really appreciate her kindness and patience. Highly recommend!”

“This is our second time with Melissa and once again she did a fantastic job. We love how many videos and pictures we get of Pancake! We can tell Pancake loves going there and playing with her dogs and other new friends. Plus Melissa’s family entertains and plays with the dogs too, which is an added bonus- extra attention! Highly recommend!”

“Ashley was wonderful and truly incorporated our dog into her household! She is flexible and communicative and treated our puppy as if he were a family member. Grigs got lots of attention and playtime and walks—he was very tired when I picked him up!”

“Mary and crew were very accommodating to handle Remington! Easy to set up, sent pics and updates timely, and were flexible as our flight was delayed. Will be sending Rem there again for sure!”

“Kuma had a great time with Connie and her sweet dog, JoJo! Connie was flexible with drop off/pick up, communicative, and sent photo and video updates- I’d definitely recommend Connie for all pet sitting needs!”

“Yoda came home very content. By the pictures Amanda and Anton sent he looked like he was getting spoiled and was happy about it. They did a wonderful job taking care of Yoda”

“We left our Sheltie, Molly, with Erica for 7 nights while we were on a cruise, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! She is incredibly kind, caring, and professional. Molly seemed to have a wonderful time with her and her dog, Rocky. We truly appreciated the updates and the love she showed our pup. Plus, her home is conveniently located just 10 minutes from O’Hare, making pickup after travel super easy. We will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Mary took great care of our girl. This was the first time we had to leave her with anyone else so we were a little worried. Ms Dolly was treated like she was at home. She got lots of walks in, which I know she loved. If we need a sitter again we would choose Mary, if she would take Dolly again.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my daily routine. From playful puppy stages to slower-paced senior dogs, I have experience in it all. Whether it’s feeding and walking or playtime and cuddles, I truly enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel happy and comfortable. I also have two cats of my own that I absolutely spoil, so I understand how important it is to give pets plenty of attention, affection, and care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with someone nearby, I’m happy to make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. I start Physician Assistant school in the fall, so for now I have lots of free time and can dedicate plenty of attention to the pets in my care. Because my schedule is open, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-ins, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. With the weather getting warmer, I’m especially happy to take dogs out for walks or spend time outdoors so they can get fresh air and exercise. My flexible routine allows me to make sure pets receive consistent care, attention, and companionship while their owners are away. I live in a clean, spacious apartment that provides a calm and comfortable environment for pets. My complex also has great outdoor spaces, including courtyards and a dog park, as well as safe walking areas, which makes it easy for dogs to get fresh air, exercise, and playtime. At home, I have two very loved cats who are used to a quiet, well-maintained environment. They are a big part of my life and help make our home feel warm and welcoming. I always prioritize slow, respectful introductions so every pet feels comfortable and safe in the space. Safety and routine are very important to me. I’m able to follow any specific care instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medication routines, or crate training if needed. My goal is to create a stress-free, secure environment where your pet feels relaxed and cared for while you’re away.
“Lyn has been a wonderful host for our dog! Not only was she super responsive and sent us photos, but I also somehow managed to mess up in the pick up day and she was super flexible and accepted to take care of our dog one more night. Will definitely ask her again for boarding :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Villa Park
My senior pup had a great stay with Michelle and her family. Communication was great, lots of pics, and very attentive to my dog’s needs. My little guy came back relaxed and in good spirits which I attribute to being him very comfortable under Michelle’s care. Highly recommend!

Mary was amazing with our dog, Kobe! This was our first time leaving him with someone who wasn’t family, and she immediately put us at ease. She sent multiple updates, pictures, and videos each day, and it was clear he was happy and well cared for. We’d absolutely book with her again!

Danielle was fantastic! Communication was great and Pete seemed to really enjoy his stay. I would 100% recommend Danielle’s services and I will for sure rebook for my next trip. It is so nice to know my dog is being well taken care of and loved as their own while I’m out of town!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
