Your Dog Treated Like Family ❤️

Hi, I’m Heather! 🐾 I genuinely believe pets are family, and when you leave yours with me, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being loved, cared for, and treated like one of my own. I work locally as a social worker, which means I’m fortunate to be able to come home during my lunch break to check on the pets in my care, let them outside, and give them some extra attention. I’m also off on weekends, so pets staying with me are generally only alone for short periods of time. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual routine and personality. I follow your instructions carefully — from feeding schedules and medications to sleeping arrangements, favorite activities, and the little things that make your pet feel comfortable. I especially love senior pets. ❤️ I’ve always had a soft spot for older animals and have chosen to adopt senior cats and dogs myself. I understand that senior pets may need a little extra patience, attention, and flexibility. For dogs, I love getting outside for walks and enrichment. The Great Western Trail is right by my home, so we have a great place nearby for walks and exploring. My goal isn’t simply to “pet sit.” I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home while you’re away — and I want you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I believe dogs thrive when they have opportunities for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, so I love incorporating walks, playtime, and activities into their day.

Heather was amazing! My dogs were comfortable instantly and spent the day.night hanging out with Alex and Heather. They has a great fenced in yard and space to run around. Heather has a calm household and I felt very safe leaving my pets there. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Mina has stayed with Heather twice and she always has a great time and is well taken care of. She particularly loves getting to play frisbee in the back yard!

Heather's meet and greet went so well with our dog Toby, we felt confident he was in a well cared for place for the weekend and she really gave us peace of mind. We will definitely use Heather again and so happy to have met her. Such a wonderful person!

Heather was great with Misty! We loved getting our updates on how she was doing, especially since this was our first time away from her. We would definitely have Heather as pet-sitter again!

Heather was extremely helpful with a last minute booking over a holiday. She took great care of my boy Scooby and was great with communicating how he was doing. Much appreciated and will definitely book with her in the future. Thanks for everything!

Look no further! Heather is the best of the best! We have an extremely skittish dog that she went up and beyond for. Can’t wait to use her again in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. I take your instructions seriously and make sure your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and individual needs are followed carefully. I believe pets do best when they receive plenty of attention, mental stimulation, and appropriate exercise. For dogs, I enjoy incorporating walks and outdoor time into their day, while always considering their age, energy level, and comfort. Every pet is different, and I take the time to learn what makes yours feel safe, comfortable, and happy. My goal is to provide a calm, loving environment where your pet can relax and you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

A typical day

I want every dog who stays with me to feel like they’re on vacation, too! 🐾 I love taking my dog guests for walks on the Great Western Trail, which is right by my home, and my large fenced-in yard gives them plenty of room to play, run, and enjoy some fresh air. I give my guests lots of extra attention, love, and one-on-one time throughout the day. I also try to keep their normal routines as much as possible. If they’re used to sleeping in bed at home, they’re welcome to sleep in bed with me here, too! ❤️ My goal is for every dog to go home happy, relaxed, and a little spoiled!
