About: Ever since I was young, I had friends and family have me take care of there pets because I was never able to have my own. I would take them on walks, feed, and bathe them as if they were my own babies. Last October I got my first pet, my majestic orange feline, Honey Mustard. My friend was not able to keep him anymore so I took him in as my own. A few months later came in my furball of energy, Teddy. Having two pets in my house at once after only having had pets for a week at a time was challenging, but I adjusted very quickly. I am able to give each of them the love and care they deserve and I willing to give that love and care too all pets that need it. I have been at home a lot for the past month because school ended, so everyday I have spent all my hours with Teddy and H&M. Wake up and take Teddy potty, give both of them breakfast. While H&M takes a sun bath I play with Teddy or take him on a long walk so he can catch up with whats going on outside. Give Teddy a nice paw rub after running around in the grass and dirt. Then at four its dinner time and the babies have their own run around time and more play until bedtime. I try my best to match the environment in which the dog or cat is in. My schedule works around the family and their pets so everything the pets are already used to with their schedule, I will do.
“Last minute request on our part. Super fast response and was available to see them within 3 hours of the booking. Great communication and lots of pictures. Thank you 😊”

“Kristina was wonderful at taking care of Saga. She was kind, caring and loving. She was great at following directions related to her medication and food. Also, she was prompted answering all my questions. I appreciate your help and support when I was away from home. Thank you.”

“Maddie is very responsive, reliable, and accommodating with last-minute requests. She’s great with Ollie and always leaves thoughtful notes and pictures after her visits. We really appreciate her help!”

About: My first time working with dogs was in Alaska to become a handler for sled dogs. Happened to find "the one" named Jupiter and adopted her out. After that, I went to Minnesota and New Hampshire to be with the sled dogs. When coming back home, I wanted a job more my pace and one that wouldn't wreck the body in the long run, so I joined a guy that started a dog walking business 16 years ago! Been walking/sitting/training the dogs for a year now and love it but it'd be nice to start creating something more of my own! I also have a cat named Stanley and recently rescued a pup named Joey. (= I walk about 6 dogs M-F, starting at 8:30am and finishing around 12:30pm. If you would need a walk before or after those times, I will be free. With sitting, if your dog or cat is okay with being alone for more than 4 hours I would be happy to help. When sitting your pet(s), I like to make sure they are at ease, taking things at their speed is key. Once comfortable, I like to spend a good chunk of the sitting outside but am fine with a dog who just wants to chill. I can also do an overnight stay if your dog or cat isn't comfortable being alone at night. With walks, I have experience with the dogs who could walk themselves down to the dogs who pull like crazy. Any size will do too! If you would like the walk to be more training-focused we could do that as well.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was little and grew up caring for family dogs long before having my own. Being around different breeds, personalities, and energy levels has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to make dogs feel safe and comfortable. Now I care for my own dog, Bruce, who’s taught me even more about trust, consistency, and understanding dog behavior. I’ve spent a lot of time working on training, recall, leash manners, and reinforcing good routines with him, which has made me even more attentive and confident around dogs. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding routines, playtime, leash handling, and making sure dogs feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand how important reliability and communication are, so I’m always happy to provide updates and photos along the way. Spending time with dogs has never felt like a job to me — it’s something I’ve genuinely loved my whole life. I recently graduated from college and currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate consistent time and attention to pet care throughout the week. Because I’m doing this full-time, I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting on both weekdays and weekends. Caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so I love being able to give pets the time, attention, playtime, and companionship they need instead of rushing through visits. I’m also reliable with communication and happy to provide updates and photos so owners always feel comfortable and informed while they’re away. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while in my care. I’m attentive during walks, careful with leash handling, and experienced around dogs with different personalities and energy levels. Working with my own dog, Bruce, has also given me experience reinforcing leash manners, recall, and consistent routines, which has helped me become patient, observant, and confident around dogs. I keep a clean, calm environment with plenty of attention, playtime, fresh water, potty breaks, and comfortable places to rest. I also understand how important communication is when trusting someone with your pet, so I’m always happy to provide updates and photos so owners feel comfortable and at ease while they’re away.
About: I have had a dog in my life ever since I was born and my own cat ever since I was 7! I started dog sitting my neighbors bulldog every summer since high school. My family has 6 dogs a variety of sizes, one of them had a litter of puppies that I helped train and find homes for! I currently have 2 cats of my own that are like my children :) I work a hybrid job which allows me the flexibility to meet you and your pets schedule to take care of them when you need My cats are treated and loved like children and I have the same care for others fur babies as well. I will always treat your home with as much respect as I would treat my own.
“Cathy started caring for our black lab, Wendy, last week. She responded so quickly to my messages and was able to do a meet and greet within days of my first message to her! Our dog loves Cathy and it’s been going really well when Cathy comes to let her out at lunchtime. I would definitely recommend Cathy to care for your pet! She has a lab of her own and a lot of experience.”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs since early childhood. One of my childhood dogs, a silky terrier named Minnie, lived to be 16 years old. I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs. My current dog is leash reactive and requires special attention on walks. I can also provide care for other pets such as cats, fish, frogs, geckos, etcetera. I am very flexible on evenings and weekends to provide care as well as some early mornings during the week. Even though I have a full time job outside of pet care, I want to dedicate as much time as possible taking care of animals. Your dog's safety is my priority, and we will either play outside in your fully fenced in backyard or take a walk in an area safe for us. I can handle many different behaviors for leashed dogs including dog reactivity, squirrel or small animal chasing, etcetera.
“Scott has taken care of my cat twice now and does an excellent job. He feeds and spends time with Quinn and administers her insulin shots since she is diabetic. We are so thankful he takes such good care of our girl!”

“Did a great job caring for my cat. Didn't require a prior meeting and greet and followed my texted care instructions with no problems. Also brought in packages that were delivered without being asked, very appreciated.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Elk Grove Village
Liz did an outstanding job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. From the start, she was professional, reliable, and communicated with us regularly, sending updates and photos that gave us real peace of mind. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about our dogs and treated them like they were her own. They were happy, well cared for, and comfortable when we got home, which says everything. We could tell they received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. We would absolutely book Liz again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you, Liz, for taking such great care of our pups!
Susan is absolutely amazing. Not only is she skilled and trustworthy; she has a special heart for animals that few do. My Marv warmed up to her right away and he typically takes awhile! She quickly understood Marv for his quirks and leaned into those quirks with patience and adoration. We are so lucky to have Susan's animal heart, expertise, and reliability.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
