About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have experience caring for and walking dogs for friends and family. I’m comfortable with different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I love staying active, so long walks and playtime are never a problem. I’m patient, reliable, and enjoy sending photo updates and check-ins so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well cared for. I’m currently on summer break, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I have a 2-hour practice each day, but outside of that I am available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I always follow the pet owner’s instructions to make sure their pet stays comfortable and maintains their normal routine. In a client’s home, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention while keeping the space clean and secure. I also send regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for. I adjust my care to each pet’s personality, energy level, and specific needs to help them feel safe and comfortable.

About: I currently have two cats (ages 2 and 3) and I'm experienced with giving daily medication, so I'm comfortable with pets who need extra care. Dogs, hold a special place in my heart. I'm hoping to have a few of my own someday, but for now, I'd love to spend time with yours — walks, playtime, and becoming good friends. Looking forward to meeting your pets! I’m currently looking for new work opportunities, which leaves me with a lot of free time to spend with animals. And maybe even become a full-time pet sitter. As I have my own two cats, I prefer to pet sit or visit your home to spend time with the pets in their own environment. I can walk the familiar routes or take dogs for longer walks in the park.

“We were so thankful to Kristen for scheduling a drop-in visit on very short notice. She checked in with us and sent great photos letting us know our doggies were well cared for. We will definitely reach out to Kristen in the future for pet sitting needs.”

“Dana did a great job with our girls who warmed up to her really quickly. We appreciated her sending us photos and giving us updates how they were doing. Thank you again Dana!”

“You will not go wrong if you choose Warda. I left my young, shy kitten & came home to her being outgoing, talkative & more playful. Warda is a cat mom & treated my cat as her own. She also found ways to capitalize on the drop-in time for entertainment as it was my cat's time to be left alone without me being there. I know my cat missed me as she hasn't let me out of her sight since my coming home and that warms my heart.”

About: I've been a full time veterinary assistant for 5 years now. I've loved animals since I was a child. I pet sit friends and family pets. I work really close to my apartment. I am able to take care of your pet before and after work. I can stop by my apartment on my lunch break and take care of your pet, if needed. I do not work on weekends. My apartment has a dog park, but I do like going on long walks. Play time is essential. Giving treats as a reward for training.
“Edgar and his kids did such a great job taking care of my cat Jake that even though he’s so shy with people he started to feel comfortable and safe with them within a few days. He always had plenty of food and water and Edgar was communicative and sent pictures everyday and text messages everyday. I highly recommend him and his kids. Thank you for taking care of my baby so well!”

“Kaly is the best! Our dog Georgie took to her right away. She provided pictures and updates with every drop in and gave Georgie lots of love, attention and treats while we were gone. We couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter than Kaly!”

I currently work part time so I have majority availability during the week to walk dogs during the day. I will mainly be working during the week as well I will not be able to take care of dogs inside my own home. In regards to a clients home, I will be respectful of the space and objects and do whatever is asked of me. “So happy we chose Maggie to watch our cat! We have an older kitty that doesn’t like to use her pan and requires medicine. Maggie sent us pictures everyday and took excellent care of our cat.”

About: I worked at a dog kennel/police dog training facility over the summers as a teen so I'm familiar with many different dog breeds. I also grew up with 4 hunting dogs, so I understand high energy dogs and their need to go for walks (or runs!) I'm currently a teacher on summer break so I have plenty of time on weekdays to take your pup on a long walk or play with your cats! I am happy to care your furry friends any way that works best for them and their routine within a safe and familiar environment, giving you peace of mind while you're away.
About: I am a high-energy individual who loves all types of dogs! Rover is my first "official" platform, but I have been pet-sitting and caring for dogs since I was young. As I got older, I gained more responsibility and more training with the family dog. I have had a lot of experience with adopted dogs, young and old, and promise to provide the best care while you are away. My parent's current dog that I care for often also has given me experience with regular medication/monitoring health concerns while also providing superior care. If your dog loves to play outside, go for a run, soak in the sun and play tug of war (but also sneak a nap in too), I am your pet-sitter! I am currently a fitness coach that works non-normal hours, so I can spend time with your furry baby during the day! I can also stay long hours overnight if needed to keep your pet relaxed while you are away. Depending on the day, your pet could be alone for 4-8 hours a day with me. I will care for the pet's health concerns (including medication), make sure they have ample time outside (weather dependent) for potty time and exercise, and will care for their physical health if requested (ie brush coat or give bath). I will ask about how they interact with other dogs, people, animals so I can protect your pet and keep them safe.

There will be at least 2-3 walks a day along side of taking them out to potty. Your pet will be teeter like part of the family , spoiling them with lots of goodies and love. I’m on leave from work so I have plenty of time to devote to your pet. I am up bright and early every day so I would be spending time with pets most of the day. I have teenager boys who love helping out with animals and being around them. I have back area where I can set areas of play up for pets.

I love dogs, and being a mother of two children I love to take care of them and people. I work throughout the week so I prefer to watch dogs on the weekends or older dogs that can be left alone throughout the work days. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bloomingdale
Amazing experience with Maggie. I really can’t say enough good things about it. She was punctual, flexible, communicative, and kept me updated on everything for my dog. She is competent, responsible, and followed the care for my dog exactly as I had described. It really set my mind at ease while I was across the country. I will definitely look to hire Maggie again.

We had a terrific experience with Hannah coming over to spend time playing with our dog family member. She was engaged, kind, and paid attention to the things that were important to us in our dog’s care. Hannah communicated openly and with ease right from the beginning and asked questions for clarification. Her reports were thorough with the important things and the pictures she took showed us a snapshot of the time they were together. Our dog family member opened up to her right away and felt at ease. I highly recommend Hannah and will call on her as a care provider when needed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
