About: I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities and needs! I also have experience caring for felines and chinchillas! I am experienced in administering medications! I currently work from home but am available for short potty breaks in the Lombard area! Also available nights and weekends! I can also do house sitting! I have worked with people who have fenced in back yards and people who do not and utilize leads and am comfortable with either. I like to watch potty breaks, even if the yard is fenced in to making sure nothing is ingested outside!
“Mariela has been my five-day a week walker for my two Labradors for the past two months. She has shown great care with my dogs. Having a senior dog and a puppy is a challenge, but Mariela recognizes their individual needs and is very patient with both of them. I’m glad to have someone I can trust taking care of my pups each day!”

“Maricela P. was just amazing with our Winston! He can be a handful at times just because he gets very excited to meet new people but Maricela handled him with the same care and affection as we do. She was the best with Winston and we are very grateful for finding her!”

“Beth was my first Rover walker ever and I was glad to have found her! She was 100% reliable and was always keeping my pup’s best interests in mind! She always made sure to send pics/summaries of the walks which was nice. I would certainly recommend Beth to anyone searching on Rover!”

About: Being a bunny owner, I take a very patient approach towards each animal I am caring for. I prefer to know their habits and quirks before I begin our journey of knowing each other. I pay very close attention to each animals body language and move forwards based on that. Growing up I was extremely obsessed with my families dogs and cats. My first pet was a grey cockatiel bird that I rescued, shortly after I got my first yellow lab. Ever since, I have been very involved in taking care of many of my family or friends pets while they are away. I have taken care of extremely small puppies, fish, birds, bunnies, and cats, to nervous, and anxious big labs ! I heavily enjoy spending time next to a furry creature and I even have a bunny of my own named Diva. She has been a very long lesson in attention to attitude when it comes to handling an animal. I am more than available during the day or night to take care of any animal, I do not have a current job so I am free during awkward hours. I make sure to follow the directions my clients have left for me, I often ask more information on the personality of the animal so I understand our boundaries !

About: I've taken care of dogs of many different breeds for more than years, including my own. Your pup will feel loved and safe. I will treat them as if they are my own. I'm currently in between projects so I'm pretty open for the month of August. Starting September, I will be available in the early evening and night time. I am not going to offer boarding in my own as I have my own pet who is territorial. Furthermore, my home is not equipped to house more than one animal.

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was 16, and currently have two of my own. I dog sit for friends and family, volunteer at a local dog shelter and foster dogs from time to time. I’m very experienced with all types of dogs. I currently work from home full time and my partner also works from home full time. The pups will never be left alone for long, and will have my two dogs as company ☺️ I have a large fenced in yard with two small friendly dogs. I have also gated off a small section for of the yard for additional safety. I can crate a dog if needed, otherwise all are free to be on the furniture/bed etc. I live in a ranch, so if an elderly dog, no stairs as a hindrance. We have lots of toys and beds!
“Alexandra did an exceptional job in taking care of Sugar while we were gone, she also looked after our bird and fishes. She was punctual, professional, and very reliable. Always responded quickly to any communication. Thank you!”

About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs ever since I was little. I would say I’m knowledgeable on dog training and have a lot of experience with all different types of dogs. I love to walk and pet pups so hopefully we can be good match!! I’m currently working part-time in the afternoon (3-6) so I have lots of free time to check in or walk your pet. I have owned Goldens my entire life so training a high-energy dog is something I’m experienced in. I’m all about creating a safe and enriching environment for dogs, so I’m open to adapting to your pets daily routine.

About: I've had a dog pretty much at all times since I was 6. My home is affectionately called The Pound, to some, it's called Club Bow Wow. As an adult I had a Jack Russell that crossed the rainbow when she was 17 years old. We had so much fun together, even in her senior years when her lifestyle changed. My current dog Bailey Rose was a rescue that truly found me at a time I thought I was not going to get a dog again. The moment I saw her, I knew she was going to be mine! Since adopting Bailey I have fostered 6 pups and she has been the best foster sister. My home has had up to 6 family dogs at the same time, hence the name The Pound. Whether it be for a visit or for sitting dogs love to be here because the feel the love and energy from me! I've boarded dogs for weeks at a time, although I prefer to board for shorter time. We take daily walks and play in my large yard multiple times a day. Your dog will be in safe loving hands with me and they will definitely have a fun time with Team Maggie and Bailey at The Pound. I work from home Monday thru Friday. My work time is pretty flexible so I can take breaks as needed for walks/check-in/playtime. I am also available on weekends as needed. I have a large fenced in yard. My home has space for your dog to freely roam and I have the space to crate if that is your preference. I have dog beds in my office while I work if your pup likes to be near their human friends.
“Madeline saved the day and accepted a last minute request when our usual dog walker was out of town. She was patient with our nervous pup and did a great job at making her feel comfortable!”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my family and I love them more than anything. I treat them with the utmost care and love. They’re the best furry family members you can have. I’m kind and affectionate, patient and caring. I work remotely so I can either pet sit during the entire day as long as I can use your WiFi or help in the afternoon or weekends. I’ll be an affectionate caretaker when your pet is missing you. I’ll always ensure your furry child will get plenty of play time, and the necessary food and water.
“Collette is the greatest dog walker ever! When I was at work in the city, my pup Sonny started to have seizures and continued having seizures until I got back home. She stayed by his side the entire time. She is very compassionate and caring and has been helping me out with dog walking for almost a year now. She is truly the best! Thank you Collette for everything that you do for me.”

About: I am very easy going I love cuddling walking and playing with the animals I am constantly petting and grooming and love giving them treats when deserved Its company, its takes away stress, fun, and loving. It's like having another family member in our household. The animal is like a human and is very enjoyable. I am a very honest, friendly, person. It takes a lot for me to get upset. I would take care of the animal like it was my own child.
About: I love the quote by Mark Twain: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That’s exactly how I feel about pet sitting. I grew up with animals and currently have two cats, Loki and Oreo. I also have experience working with dogs, cats and volunteer with local animal welfare organizations as well as worked with companies in the past. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
