About: We are a dog-less home since our dog passed about a year ago. I sure do love having visitors, and a dog to love while they are here with me! We adopted our dog 14 years ago at 5 months old, and for the past 10 years I have been very involved with fostering and volunteering for a local rescue. This has given me so much experience with many different dog personalities and helped me learn how to best introduce them to a new environment. I have so much more knowledge about dog behaviors in general since fostering. I have fostered 30+ dogs thus far, handled at adoption shows, transported dogs to vet visits and selected adopters for my fosters. If your dog likes to sleep in a room with someone, they can either sleep on the bed with me or on their bed or in their crate in the same room with me We are in a townhome with a walkout patio. About: I have had dogs most of my life. From my childhood dog to the ones I raised as an adult. I have potty-trained dogs to use a bell to indicate they have to go out, taught them to back away from table food, and to give up stolen items. I will treat your dog lovingly and as if they are my own. I am mostly retired and home the majority of the day. The dog will go no longer than 4 hours without a potty break, and most days it will be shorter than that. Your pet will be the only one in the house with me. I block off my stairs so the dog is always very close and mostly within eyesight.

Growing up, I've been raised with two German Shepherds, and I've taken on responsibilities such as training my dog as a puppy, providing medical aid, walking dogs, and everything else that goes into being responsible for your furry best friend! I'm currently not working, and so my schedule is rather flexible! I have availability for dog-sitting and walking starting from 9am to 9pm throughout the week, all day every day! I currently don't have any pets in my home, and so I will be able to give your pet my full attention. I don't have a fenced yard, however there is a lovely walking trail nearby (5 min walk) that's about 2 miles long that I'd be able to walk your pet on! I have experience with reactive dogs when it comes to strangers and other dogs, and so I know how to maneuver myself out of a reactive situation. I can also easily crate your dog, if needed!

About: I’ve been pet sitting dogs, cats, and small exotic pets for over a decade! I initially gained professional dog-handling experience from dog daycares/kennels. Then I became a vet tech and have worked in emergency care as well as general practice for a few years. I love taking care of pets in their own homes and do whatever I can to keep your pet on their normal routine while you’re gone! I'm comfortable with canines, felines, small animals, old, young, and everyone in between! Let me come care for your pets in the comfort of their own space, I will love them like they are my own. I petsit and dog walking for a living, so I will prioritize each visit on my schedule. I organize my schedule to accommodate each clients needs and am open and communicative should there be any last minute changes to the agreement. I take safety very seriously. I keep doors locked behind me unless told otherwise. I make sure if we’re going outside that the leash/harness is secure, and I don’t allow other people or pets to approach us on walks for safety. I’m Fear Free certified which means I’ve taken courses on body language and how to interact with dogs specifically.
