“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Cat Sitter – Punctual, Responsible, and Caring I cannot recommend Mariela enough! She is incredibly punctual, responsible, and attentive to my cat, Simba. From the moment I hired her, she was highly responsive and kept me updated, which made my vacation completely stress-free. Not only did she take excellent care of Simba—who absolutely adores her and thrives under her care—but she also went above and beyond by taking out trash. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly set her apart. Thanks to her, I could enjoy my trip knowing Simba was in the best hands. In fact, I’m already looking forward to my next vacation because I know she’ll take care of everything perfectly! If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter, look no further. Simba and I are so grateful for her outstanding service, and we’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Theresa, came on her own time for a meet-and-great with our puppies. Spend some time introducing herself to them and then was willing to handle any requested task for the puppies while we were out of the house: potty, feed, etc. On her first visit she provided details of what happened: how many poops, pees, who ate, and even a couple of pictures. Thus far, a great experience!”

About: I may be newer to professional pet sitting, but I am very responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy caring for animals. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I take time to follow instructions closely, respect routines, and give each pet the attention they need. My goal is always to provide reliable, loving care that builds trust with both pets and their owners. I work almost full-time on weekdays, but I make time in the mornings, evenings, and weekends to ensure pets get reliable, consistent, and loving care. I care for pets in their own home by following routines closely and making safety my top priority. I ensure dogs are fed, walked, and given attention according to instructions, while keeping them calm, comfortable, and secure. I always respect the client’s home and aim to build trust through reliable, attentive care.
“Ashley was a wonderful sitter for our cat! She was very communicative and went above and beyond to make sure Poppy was well cared for. She even noticed when the automatic feeder was low on food and made sure to refill it, which I hadn’t thought to ask her to keep an eye on.”

About: I have taken care of various animals since I was 16, ranging from chickens, roosters and parakeets, to hamsters, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. I have helped birth and take care of newborn puppies. I have open availability for either in-home care or boarding during the week and on Saturdays. I am available morning, day and night for either full care and company, or just a daily walk. I will take care of your pet or pets as if they were at home, whether they're actually at home, or in my own home. I'm bilingual, para los dueños y mascotas que necesiten la confianza de ser escuchados en su idioma, yo cuidare de ellos.
“Susan was our first ever Rover sitter, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our Ted cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so it's comforting to know he's in good hands when we are gone.”

About: Animals have always been a very special part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, so caring for animals has been natural to me since childhood. I absolutely love animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m also a dog owner myself, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with your pet. I know that every dog has their own personality, habits, and routine, and I always try to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I’m comfortable with walking, feeding, playtime, basic care, and following your pet’s usual routine and your instructions. I’m patient, attentive, responsible, and happy to send photos and updates during walks or visits so you can feel completely at ease while your pet is with me. I will care for your pet with the same kindness and attention I would want someone to give my own. 🐾❤️ have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and pet sitting on both weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to adjust to your pet’s usual routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and respectful of each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs.
“I have two orange tabbies who are set up on an automatic feeder and automatic litter box, so the hardest part about being away from them is finding someone who can play with them and give them food as a treat. I hired Hannah as a cat sitter and she pleasantly exceeded my expectations. Hannah is beyond amazing. She got both of my cats to play with her by figuring out the weird things they each like to do — one is driven by random sounds and the other is a fetcher. Best part was when I walked in, they both appeared to be in a good mood, whereas normally they look stressed after I’ve been away. That’s my measure of how well they were played with. Highly recommend Hannah for cats who need more than just a check-in.”

“There aren’t enough words to give praise to Maggy. She makes it possible for us to enjoy our time away from our babies, as difficult as it is. She is amazing and provides over the top, excellent care!”

“You will not go wrong if you choose Warda. I left my young, shy kitten & came home to her being outgoing, talkative & more playful. Warda is a cat mom & treated my cat as her own. She also found ways to capitalize on the drop-in time for entertainment as it was my cat's time to be left alone without me being there. I know my cat missed me as she hasn't let me out of her sight since my coming home and that warms my heart.”

“Brianna took care of my cats while my fiancée and I were out of town. It’s a bit difficult to find sitters that can administer oral medicine to cats, and Brianna was able to meet the task, give love to my 2 cats and make sure their area was well kept. She responds quickly to texts as well. If you need a cat sitter, I would recommend her to any client!”

“Giada was great with my cat, Apollo. She played with him and gave him social interaction while I was gone and also administered his medication. She was very easy to work with and a great sitter!”

“Renee was great! Loved that she took the time beforehand to do a meet n greet. She even did an extra meet n greet because we booked so far in advance and it had been awhile. Attentive, kind, and her passion for animals is clear! Thank you 😊”

About: I have up to a eight years of experience taking care of animals. The most known being cats, dogs, birds, and some farmlife. I also have experience in grooming regarding bathing dogs and cats. This is something I am currently working toward furthering my career in. I am currently unemployed, although I am working on getting a job. I care for two cats at home full time as well as the occasional care of my roommate's pet skink. I have a 7 year old and an 8 month old who is sometimes a full-time job himself. I currently live in an apartment so I do not offer care at my home due to my lease not allowing it. However, within the home of my client I try to keep a common eye on the animals, making sure they are fed, have water, and if required the litterbox/bathroom is done whenever they need it.

To put it simply Warda is amazing! She comes prepared when you do a meet and greet with her, prior to an official booking. She has a checklist of questions and gives you knowledge, since she is a cat mom herself. When she is taking care of your fur baby, she updates you with every visit and sends pictures, videos, and a very thorough summary of what happened during her visit. She offers to tidy up the house before you come back from your break as well. She is very observant (for example she got my cat Milo a water dispenser since she noticed I didn’t have one). Overall she is a very thoughtful, welcoming, and knowledgeable person and I know that Milo enjoyed having her around. Don’t hesitate booking with Warda, you won’t regret it!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
