“Kaylee did a great job. Very communicative and flexible when there was issues with our garage door opener while we were away. Glad to have her able to check in on our dog while we were away for a trip.”

“Sarah is the very best!!!!!! We loved having her watch our cats and will definitely be booking with her again. She has great cat energy and our two boys love her. We have a litter robot and automatic pet feeder, so we really just wanted someone to check in every couple of days while we were out of the country with no cell service for over a week on our honeymoon. Sarah noticed that one of our cats messed with the feeder machine and it looked like it wasn't dispensing food the right way. Sarah went out of her way to do extra visits to make sure that the cats had food. 10/10, she also helped water my patio garden plants while we were away”

“Brianna took care of my cats while my fiancée and I were out of town. It’s a bit difficult to find sitters that can administer oral medicine to cats, and Brianna was able to meet the task, give love to my 2 cats and make sure their area was well kept. She responds quickly to texts as well. If you need a cat sitter, I would recommend her to any client!”

“Nicole did an incredible job! We were gone for two weeks in Italy and she gave us peace of mind that our two kitties were in great hands. She was attentive and communicative. We came home to two happy cats :) If you want to have someone of good character watch your precious little ones, Nicole should be your choice!”

“Cho was very patient with my dog who needs extra help getting around. She took her time with my girl and always made sure she had everything she needed before she left after every drop-in. Highly recommend!”
“Melanie took wonderful care of Uno! She is reliable, dependable, responsible, and experienced. I felt completely at ease knowing Uno was in her care. She is trustworthy, caring, and kept me updated throughout. I highly recommend Melanie and will definitely book with her again!”

“Emily was an absolute doll. She came through on a snowy holiday weekend and went above and beyond with our shy little Toasty girl. Emily was super communicative before, during, and after the drop-in visit. We could tell from the photos that Toast had a blast with her new friend!”

“Great Pet Caretaker! Would definitely recommend and will be going with Carl again for any future pet sitting. He took constant photos and played with our cats super well!”

“Shannon is a wonderful sitter. My cat has been so at home with her over the two lengthy trips I've been away. She provides good updates and responds quickly to messages. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter for their pet.”

About: I am a huge animal person. I'm available daily for your pet needs. I will ensure your cat will have their safety, emotional and overall well being needs met. I WFH and am available daily. I spend quality time with your pet and limit any errands to quick trips if necessary. I try to create a stress free environment. My 6 yr old cat which I separate. I will treat your pet as my own under my care to ensure safety and emotional well-being.
“I felt at ease knowing that Jaclin was looking after my Jeanne! She's done a great job building a rapport with her and did a great job taking care of her! Highly recommend her if you need someone to look in on your pets!”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs since early childhood. One of my childhood dogs, a silky terrier named Minnie, lived to be 16 years old. I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs. My current dog is leash reactive and requires special attention on walks. I can also provide care for other pets such as cats, fish, frogs, geckos, etcetera. I am very flexible on evenings and weekends to provide care as well as some early mornings during the week. Even though I have a full time job outside of pet care, I want to dedicate as much time as possible taking care of animals. Your dog's safety is my priority, and we will either play outside in your fully fenced in backyard or take a walk in an area safe for us. I can handle many different behaviors for leashed dogs including dog reactivity, squirrel or small animal chasing, etcetera.
“Laura is great! She did drop-in visits for our pups and made sure they had a potty break and plenty of time to stretch their legs and play, and took lots of pictures for us. She is super responsive and attentive to all our dogs’ specific needs. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Currently, I have two cats. I've had a dog, but before that, I primarily had birds (parakeets), lizards (bearded dragons) and frogs (mostly bull frogs). I cat-sit on occassion for a friend and sibling. I also raise Monarch caterpillars in the summer and release the adults. I work full time outside the home but am home in the summer (teacher). I am available weekends and weekday evenings, with sufficient notice of weekday needs. I am usually available Friday evening through Sunday evening. I am looking to do drop-in pet care and dog boarding. I could board a small pet that resides in an enclosure in my home or a dog (or two dogs from the same household). Both my cats are comfortable with dogs but tend to keep to themselves. I have 2 children and 2 cats at home. It’s a one floor house. The yard is nice and big. I don’t have a fence but I do have a longer leash so the dogs can run a bit.
“Giada was great with my cat, Apollo. She played with him and gave him social interaction while I was gone and also administered his medication. She was very easy to work with and a great sitter!”

“Absolutely wonderful to work with and did an excellent job caring for my kitties while I was away. Very attentive to their needs and care instructions. Both cats were happy and healthy when I returned home and she made sure to keep in touch with cute check in photos.”

“Stephanie took such good care of our kitten. We were nervous to leave her for a few days, but she was in great hands with Stephanie. I would definitely hire Stephanie again.”

“Morgan is a very friendly and gentle care giver for our dogs. She is always on time and very patient. I also like that she has tones of experiences in the animal hospital. I’m looking forward to work with Morgan long term and will not hesitate to recommend her.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rolling Meadows
This was our first time using Rover and Carl made this experience amazing. We had him drop in to care for our 3 Cats, during his visits he was great at communicating if we needed any special requests from him. He did an amazing job, I would most definitely book him again in the future. We just returned from our trip and our Kitties were healthy, happy and well taken care of. Thank you Carl!

This was our first time using Rover and I am so happy we found Shannon. My cats are generally very shy until they get to know someone. It usually takes someone new being a guest in our home multiple times before the cats come out of hiding. Max ran for the back bedroom when the doorbell rang for our Meet & Greet with Shannon but a few minutes later he was rubbing up on her asking for affection. I was more than a little surprised. He knows who he can trust. I was very happy when Shannon sent pictures of both cats walking towards the door to greet her when she came over every day just as she said she would. We will be contacting Shannon again as soon we know we'll be away from home - we are confident we will be leaving the cats with someone who cares about animals.

Sarah is the very best!!!!!! We loved having her watch our cats and will definitely be booking with her again. She has great cat energy and our two boys love her. We have a litter robot and automatic pet feeder, so we really just wanted someone to check in every couple of days while we were out of the country with no cell service for over a week on our honeymoon. Emily is the best! I enjoy reading Josie’s report cards and viewing the photos of her playing and eating! I know she’s in great hands and I can enjoy my time away from home when Josie is in Emily’s care. Emily has great communication and I appreciate all of the detailed updates. Thank you, Emily!

Sophia took excellent care of our cat while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which made it clear our cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was reliable, communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. We came home to a happy cat and a clean home. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

We had Nicole drop in on our 2 shorthair cats for around a week and a half while me and my (now) husband were getting married, and she was famtastic! She was receptive and quick to respond, and it felt like our babies were well taken care of when we returned. I would absolutely boom her again!
Alexandra did a wonderful job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. She was reliable, communicative, and made sure they were well cared for throughout our trip. We appreciated the updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our pets were in good hands. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and everything exactly as we left it. We would gladly book with Alexandra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. 🐾 Thank you, Alexandra! 😊
Sarah was wonderful with all of my pets. She had her hands full and handled it like a Champ! I was very comfortable with Sarah and would recommend her highly! She is amazing and I couldn’t be more appreciative! She gets 100 stars in my book! Very atttentive and loving! Thank you for taking care of all 6 of the animals while we were gone! Well worth it!
Alexis is great! She was very communicative and went above and beyond for my two cats. They clearly adored her as one of my cats is quite shy and usually hides with new people. But he was comfortable with Alexis and came out for her visits. I will definitely book with Alexis again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rolling Meadows. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
