About: I own a GSD/Shar Pei Mix named Moose and have learned a lot since rescuing her in 2023. I've been volunteering at local shelters since then, where I care for dogs of varying ages. Earlier this year, I completed a three-month internship with the Penn Vet Working Dog Center where we trained dogs in obedience, agility, scent work, husbandry, and more. Caroline is very responsible and caring She followed all my instructions and left my house clean and tidy. Gennie needs medication every other day, and Caroline made sure she got her medication and checked her tracker. She also helped me with an extra day on very short notice which I really appreciated! Kenyale is the consummate professional. Literally. She has been an animal professional for many years already, so we felt confident in leaving our two boys in her care for a lengthy trip to the city while they stayed in a suburban lodging. We were particularly impressed that when she got the idea that we were a little nervous about it, she and her adult daughter came for a lengthy meet-and-greet the day before. Though that has happened once before, we know not to expect that from every other sitter, and other clients probably shouldn't expect that every time they book this pro family. But it told us that they truly care and want the dog parents to be as at-ease as the dogs themselves. We appreciated all the little extras that came with this booking, especially the high quality photography that makes us love our pooches even more. Kenyale will be on our A-list for a Chicagoland sitter.
Kathleen was fantastic! She was communicative from the meet and greet through the entire house stay, providing frequent updates and lots of photos that gave us peace of mind while we were away. She was also incredibly attentive, noticing a skin issue behind our dog’s ear and alerting us right away so we can figure out a quick treatment. Most importantly, our dog was happy, healthy and in great spirits when we returned home. We highly recommend Kathleen and would gladly book with her again!
Abby was amazing. I was very nervous about getting a pet sitter we didn't know for our dog but she was incredibly reassuring and very patient with Marly (our dog), who can be nervous around strangers. She gave updates and pictures throughout the days on how Marly was doing and had no issues with walking her (she can be reactive). I have absolutely no complaints and would hire Abby again.
