About: Dogs are a huge part of my life. My husband and I have 3 dogs and I actively train and compete in dog sports with two of them. The other is more of a companion but I couldn't help myself and he also has a few titles. The majority of my free time is spent training my dogs, going to classes, and going to competitions. Because of that, I've gotten to know a lot of different dogs and personalities. I’m happy to follow whatever rules and routines you have at home because I know how important consistency can be. I just love dogs, understanding them, and meeting them where they are. My husband and I tag-team pet care depending on our schedules, which gives us a lot of flexibility. We’re both very attentive about making sure dogs are safe, comfortable, and cared for the way their owners would care for them. I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Visiting dogs will have opportunities to play, relax, and enjoy some downtime throughout the day. For puppies under 6 months, I generally like following a 1 up, 2 down schedule (1 hour away, 2 hours rest). It's worked really well with my own dogs and we can talk about it in more detail if you have a puppy that needs caring. In the client's home, I will do my best to keep their routine as normal and familiar as possible. I’m happy to follow your usual feeding schedule, walks, training cues, house rules, and any other routines your pet is used to. I pay close attention to each pet’s comfort level and personality and won’t force interaction if they need some time to warm up. Safety is really important to me, so I also appreciate knowing about any behaviors or tendencies I should watch for like whether your dog is an escape artist, likes to bolt through doors, is reactive to certain dogs or people, or has any other quirks that might not be obvious at first. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them and keep them safe. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine.

“We had Erica house sit for our two senior dogs for 9 days. We are extremely pleased with the outstanding care she provided. Both dogs have some special needs and required some medication/supplements which she was able to administer. Also, while we were gone there were several rounds of severe storms, which cause both dogs to get very anxious and scared. She went above and beyond to make them comfortable, providing me with updates and asking questions to make sure she was doing everything she could to help them. I received pictures and updates on the dogs and the house while we gone, which I really appreciated. I have a lot of plants and she made sure they were protected from the storms. When our flight home was delayed, she offered to go back and check on the dogs. She left the house neat and clean and offered to wash the linens and towels! She has been an animal professional for many years already, so we felt confident in leaving our two boys in her care for a lengthy trip to the city while they stayed in a suburban lodging. We were particularly impressed that when she got the idea that we were a little nervous about it, she and her adult daughter came for a lengthy meet-and-greet the day before. Though that has happened once before, we know not to expect that from every other sitter, and other clients probably shouldn't expect that every time they book this pro family. But it told us that they truly care and want the dog parents to be as at-ease as the dogs themselves. We appreciated all the little extras that came with this booking, especially the high quality photography that makes us love our pooches even more. Kenyale will be on our A-list for a Chicagoland sitter.
Oliwia is amazing. She is so happy and cheerful and took great care of our Bentley while we were away for 10 days. I felt stressed about leaving our dog for that long, but Oliwia sent pictures every day and kept us posted on how he was doing. All of the pictures and communication from her really helped ease my worries. I think he had a vacation too! I would also note that Oliwia left the house very clean, which is a wonderful gift when you come home from vacation. I would highly recommend her.
Yujin was wonderful with watching our 18 mo old Shiba, Koge in our home. She was very communicative, was willing to do a preliminary meet-and-greet, and was so accommodating and flexible when our plans changed. Yujin treated both Koge and our home with care, and graciously dealt with Koge’s stubborn Shiba quirks. We are definitely happy to trust her with our pup and home again in the future.
Abby was amazing. I was very nervous about getting a pet sitter we didn't know for our dog but she was incredibly reassuring and very patient with Marly (our dog), who can be nervous around strangers. She gave updates and pictures throughout the days on how Marly was doing and had no issues with walking her (she can be reactive). I have absolutely no complaints and would hire Abby again.
Marina was so great with my dogs! I have 4 medium to XL dogs that are well mannered but can be a handful.
