I have recently retired and am enjoying finally getting a chance to fix up my house. I have no other job other than some woodworking projects that I try selling online. This leaves me a very flexible schedule with lots of time for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
When I have watched pets in their homes I find that I am a little obsessive about preventing escapes. Some cats I have watched are very shy and I make it a point to find them to verify their well being rather than just check food and leave. Until I know their behavior, dogs don't go out without a leash until I've verified gates are closed, etc.
Information Carl D. would like to know about your pet
It's very important to know if your dog is an escape artist, animal aggressive or is bothered by certain sights, sounds, etc. This is critical for your pets safety and well being. Additionally, any food allergies, preferences or concerns should be noted early on.
A typical day
I love walking dogs, it gives them a chance to explore their surroundings through sights, sounds and best of all, smells. Fenced in play is also great to burn energy.

Pet care experience
I have had as many as 9 dogs at one time in my home when I fostered a mother dog and 6 puppies along with our own 2 dogs...then 3 because we were foster failures and kept a puppy. I've watched a cat, single and multiple dogs. I love walking dogs and giving them a chance to explore their surroundings and frequently walk my own two dogs. I'm very patient with shy dogs as one of ours is a rescue who was mistreated and is afraid of everything. I am 6'-4" tall and about 200 lbs. so your active dog shouldn't be a problem. I look forward to becoming friends with your pets.

As a first time cat owner using Rover for the first time, I was so nervous, but Carl was absolute perfection! When my hubby and I met him, we instantly felt like we had known him for a long time, he is so kind and definitely a pro! Both of my cats are usually shy but they warmed up to him right away! He took amazing care of Blossom and Persephone, who he sarcastically nicknamed "the beast" because she looks so sweet and cuddly lol. He is super attentive, gave detailed updates, and even convinced my picky eater to finish her dinner. Carl totally went above and beyond, and we will definitely be booking him again!

100% the best sitter we ever had! Sent pics everyday and communicated what was going on. We never worried about our dogs while away...I knew they were in great hands with Carl. From the first time they met, my dogs liked Carl...so we knew we got the perfect sitter. We will definitely hire Carl again for our fur babies.

Carl was amazing! He communicated well and showed great care and concern for my babies. They all loved him and we will work with him again.
Carl did a wonderful job. We will rebook in the future. Much appreciated Carl.
