When watching your pet, I make sure they have toys and treats to keep them entertained. Also, I always make sure that they're in a healthy and safe environment.

What their temperament is. If they are friendly or aggressive. What toys do they like to play with and how do they like to play? Do they get along well with other dogs? People? I'm fine with watching any type of breed as long as they are friendly and listen to basic commands. I'm open to walking or watching dogs over 40 lbs but would prefer dogs that don't pull.
A typical day
Depending on your area I can either walk your dog around the block in your neighborhood or at a nearby forest preserve. If it's a drop in visit, I can play with them with their favorite toy indoors or outside in your backyard (whatever your preference). During my stay I will be sure to pamper your pet with lots of love by grooming them, making sure they are well fed and hydrated, and spend quality time by playing with them. If your dog needs a buddy to sleep with, I'm fine with that as well. I want your pet to be comfortable and happy even while you are away.

I have had years of experience caring for my family's, friend's and relative's pets. I've also been working as a Petsitter thru Rover for 5 years. I know how to feed, walk, play with, basic grooming skills, and clean up after dogs. I have a lot of experience working with senior and special needs dogs and am comfortable giving medication. I'm also knowledgeable about cats and know how to feed, play with, groom and clean their litter box. Along with cats and dogs, I have lots of experience caring for small rodents like chinchillas and rabbits. I've also had some volunteer experience at Almost Home Foundation and Anderson Animal Shelter. At Almost Home I volunteered by walking dogs, and taking care of cats. When I volunteered at Anderson I worked with the cats and fostered kittens with my parents. Currently, I own a 7 year old cat named Ginny, and a 19 year old Chinchilla named Peppers. While growing up, my family had a variety of pets including dogs, rabbits, cats, and fish. I feel that I'd be a great sitter and dog walker because I love to be around animals and take care of them. I treat them as if they were my own friend and want them to be happy and healthy. *Note: Please let me know at least a week in advance for any services so that we have time to schedule a Meet and Greet. ** Any requests I receive that are more than 10 miles away from my location will be charged an additional $10.

Caroline was awesome taking care of our dogs for the first time while we were far away from home for a week! She communicated to let us know how everything was going, and managed both a small elderly, blind and deaf dog, and our young and energetic, (crazy but loving really,) and excitable bigger dog! We’d be happy to use her services again, and we are grateful that she said she would watch our dogs again too!
