About: I only had family cats growing up, but when my 12-year-old daughter had a big loss in her life, I gave her a Yorkie puppy. Of course, I knew nothing but how to love that puppy, so I had to learn quickly. Yes, I learned about crating...and also not crating. I've learned that dog training is mostly about "training" the owner. And I've learned how you can be firm and serious...but not mean. Like...being a parent. I've watched enough dogs that when they stay or visit, my home's been named deemed a doggie camp. I've had senior dogs on medication or needing more sedate care, and crazy puppies who get the right things to chew. And for walks, we have a great neighborhood with sidewalks. While this is all "puppy" news, yes, I definitely know how to care for cats too. I believe cats need play and music or active noise usually as well - except at bed time. No animal wants to feel alone...and they never do with me. I usually work from home and manage my schedule, so periodic check-ins during the work days isn't difficult. I don't often travel, so evenings, weekends and home care is relatively simple within my schedule. Pets in my client's homes get a regular schedule for meals, wake time, and bed time. They get a balance of play time, brushing,...and snuggles. For dogs, they get walks and play - inside and out. When an owner is not around, animals are a little sadder, so I work to help minimize that sadness...and given them comfort and company.

About: While living in Beijing, China, my wife and I raised two Mini Schnauzers from pups to become loving and loyal members of our family unit. This included regularly scheduled walks to accommodate our working hours and took into consideration the dogs' needs. One of the dogs developed diabetes and required insulin shots with the morning and evening meals. Both dogs received a great deal of attention beyond just the walking. This included regular at-home 'fun times' with toys, including hide-and-seek. Weather-appropriate trips to the park were taken whenever time allowed. Both TJ and Toby were treated as well as children, concerning the attention they received and the healthy snacks that we provided at the dinner table. At present, my work schedule is very flexible with a remote occupation. Working remotely leaves a great deal of opportunities to be available on a regular basis. I am normally up rather early (by 6 am) for a morning workout out and the rest of the day I am working on various certifications and work requirements that are scheduled depending on my goals for that particular day. At present, I am more interested in coming to your home to dog sit or walk/play with your dog as opposed to dog sitting at my residence. I would follow directions carefully with the duration of walks and the route of walks. Any type of behavior recommendations (e.g., keep the dog away from other people or other dogs) would be strictly followed. All dietary instructions would be strictly followed. Most of all, the pet will be treated with compassion, patience, respect, and understanding.

About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.

About: I have been pet sitting for over 10 years on and off when a family member or friend needed help. I have experience with puppy training and sneaking meds to get your pets the vitamins or medication that they need. I am working on this being a main source of income while trying to find a full time or part time job. I have open availability after 12/19/25. If pets are to be boarded at my home, I do not have a fence so we would be going on long walks to get some exercise. We have a large yard of your fur baby likes to play fetch as well.

About: I've taken care of and had dogs ever since I was 8 years old. I recently relocated to Chicago and lost my dog a little over a year ago at age 12 to natural causes. I'm very active into sports and take many walks daily. Throughout the year I like to foster dogs to help rescues with adoptions. I like to do a morning long walk 20 minutes or more before I go to work. Depending on what is needed for pet care, I have a pretty flexible schedule to do more than one potty break. After work I also like to do another evening walk if time allows and just to settle down for the night. I have a friendly dog community and do not mind walking multiple times to expend energy. The house is also very spacious for relaxation. If you allow furniture sleeping so do I. I'm flexible to what my clients would want from my in home stays. If I come to your house, naturally I would follow guidelines that your pet is typically used to.
