Wendy has been walking my puppy, Missy, three days a week for 30 minutes each time, and she’s been wonderful. Missy always comes back happy and relaxed after their walks. Missy is a diva and sometimes resists going out, but Wendy is always patient, kind, and understanding with her. I especially love the feedback and pictures Wendy shares after each walk—they give me a lot of comfort and peace knowing how Missy is doing. I’ve really appreciated the care and consistency she brings to every visit, and I hope to see her back in the spring.

About: I've cared for pets for family and friends for many years and understand the trust that comes with caring for someone's home and beloved pets. My goal is to provide the same level of care, attention, and affection that I would give my own animals. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from large bully breeds to miniature poodles, as well as cats with special dietary and medication needs. I am dependable, attentive, and committed to keeping pet owners informed while they're away. Whether your pet needs playtime, exercise, medication, or simply companionship, I will ensure they are safe, comfortable. I work part time and make my own schedule, so I can likely work your pet into my schedule. I am always communicating with my clients in the event I can't be scheduled so the pets get the best possible care. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting me with your pet is a significant decision. My top priorities are safety, trust, and providing a calm, secure environment where your pet feels comfortable while you are away.

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and have had my family dog for 9 years now. I do a lot of the caring for my dog. I played an integral part in my dog’s recovery from knee surgery. I have also dog sat many times for dogs of all ages from 1-2 year old dogs to elderly dogs. I was also a dog sitter for my college canine companion club for 2 years. This taught me a lot about dog training, etiquette, and respect. While taking care of these dogs, I walked them, gave them food and water, played with the dogs, gave the dogs their medications, worked on owner specified training, and made sure that the dogs were comfortable and happy. I have always loved dogs, listened to their body language, and respected them. I am available to sit for single dog households and multiple pet or dog and cat households. I look forward to meeting your furry family members! Starting Jan 5 I am not available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3-8:30pm and Saturday 1-5:30, but I am otherwise available to play with and take care of your furry family members. Starting Jan 26, I am not available Monday or Wednesday, Tuesday from 3-8:30pm, Thursday from 7-9:30pm, Friday 8:30-11:30am, or Saturday 1-5:30, but I am otherwise available to play with and take care of your furry family members. I do not offer in my home care. I am glad to talk about any and all routines and rules you want me to follow with your pet (within reason). I am great at reading body language of your furry family members and will do my absolute best at following both your instructions and expectations as well as making sure your furry family members are listened to, comfortable, and happy. I will always treat your furry family members like they are family.

About: I only had family cats growing up, but when my 12-year-old daughter had a big loss in her life, I gave her a Yorkie puppy. Of course, I knew nothing but how to love that puppy, so I had to learn quickly. Yes, I learned about crating...and also not crating. I've learned that dog training is mostly about "training" the owner. And I've learned how you can be firm and serious...but not mean. Like...being a parent. I've watched enough dogs that when they stay or visit, my home's been named deemed a doggie camp. I've had senior dogs on medication or needing more sedate care, and crazy puppies who get the right things to chew. And for walks, we have a great neighborhood with sidewalks. While this is all "puppy" news, yes, I definitely know how to care for cats too. I believe cats need play and music or active noise usually as well - except at bed time. No animal wants to feel alone...and they never do with me. I usually work from home and manage my schedule, so periodic check-ins during the work days isn't difficult. I don't often travel, so evenings, weekends and home care is relatively simple within my schedule. Pets in my client's homes get a regular schedule for meals, wake time, and bed time. They get a balance of play time, brushing,...and snuggles. For dogs, they get walks and play - inside and out. When an owner is not around, animals are a little sadder, so I work to help minimize that sadness...and given them comfort and company.

About: Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a passion & love for animals - I’d volunteer to take the neighborhood dogs on a walk, clean up after them, groom them and watch them… this passion and love hasn’t gone away, but has only grown! This passion and love has grown so much that I’ve volunteered several times at local Kane county animals shelters! I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, needs, energy levels… from a couch potato Irish Wolfhound mix rescue to a energetic purebred Chihuahua. I even have experience with cats and kittens! If by request, I can work on commands, walking, agility, etc. … I’ve got experience with it all! Friends and family would describe me as dependable, punctual, honest, energetic, positive & trustworthy to name a few! I’m very adaptable and flexible, too, so please just reach out with any concerns and we can work something out together. Your furry baby/babies are the main concern! Whatever you need for your sweet baby/babies, I’m here to help! Let me show you my love and experience with animals by booking a walk, drop in or house sit with me today! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m available Tuesdays, Fridays, & Weekends. Offer up a time and service, and I’ll work my schedule around that! I will follow all rules and routines, as usual when at the home. As for walks, I’ll make sure to keep a close, attentive eye on your sweet pup(s)! For drop ins and house sitting, I will be sure to leave your home and baby/babies in the same exact condition, if not even better! *pricing subject to change based on distance, length, amount of dogs, and requirements* I have a lot of free time to help with your furry babies! I will adjust accordingly to fit into your schedule and be ass accommodating as possible. I will follow your instructions as listed - whether that’s keeping your pup on a leash while in the backyard to crating the pup before I leave, I’m on it!

About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and I’m the person animals tend to relax around quickly. Even the anxious, shy, or “takes a minute to warm up” types usually settle in fast with me. I’m comfortable with: * High-energy dogs that need structure and movement * Older dogs that need patience and a slower pace * Cats (including the ones who pretend they don’t like anyone) My approach is simple: I meet your pet where they are. Some want play and stimulation. Others just want calm presence and consistency. I adjust to them—not the other way around. What You Can Expect * Clear, consistent communication (updates + photos without you having to ask) * Reliable timing — I show up when I say I will * Respect for your home and routines * A calm, steady presence that pets respond well to I don’t treat this like a quick gig—I treat it like your pet is depending on me, because they are. Why Clients Choose Me A lot of sitters can “watch” pets. Fewer actually understand how to read them. I pay attention to behavior, energy, and small changes so your pet stays comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. 🐾 Extras * Comfortable with basic routines, feeding schedules, walks, and play * Happy to follow specific instructions (meds, routines, quirks) * Flexible depending on your pet’s needs If you’re looking for someone reliable, calm, and easy to work with—who your pet will actually enjoy being around—I’m a good fit. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give your pet consistent attention and not just quick drop-ins. I’m available most weekdays and weekends, with afternoons and evenings wide open. I can accommodate walks, drop-ins, or extended stays depending on your needs. I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so your pet gets real time, not rushed care. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and I’m experienced managing multiple dogs calmly and safely. If your dog is crate-trained or has a specific routine, I’ll follow it exactly to keep things consistent and stress-free. I pay attention to behavior, energy, and boundaries to make sure every pet feels comfortable—whether they’re social, shy, or need their own space. I also keep a clean, structured environment and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve been helping take care of animals since I was like 7 years old! I grew up helping look after my grandma’s German Shepherd, so I’m totally fine with big dogs. I’ve also pet-sat tons of neighborhood dogs and cats, plus smaller pets like guinea pigs. I’ve owned hamsters and fish myself, so I'm used to dealing with animals of all shapes and sizes. I'll make sure your pets are super safe, well-fed, and get plenty of love while you’re out! Pet care fits perfectly into my week! I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your pets, whether it's for long walks, daytime check-ins, or hanging out on weekends. My schedule is super flexible, so I can easily adjust to whatever timing works best for you and your furry friend. Safety is my top priority when watching your pets. I always double-check that all doors and gates are securely locked, and I follow your specific rules and instructions exactly. I keep a close eye on them at all times to make sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
