About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.
About: My dad used to be a forest officer(now retired). Therfore have grown up with lots of pets including dogs, turtles, parrots, and rabbits. I have a 15 year old dog in India whom I took great care of. We have never sets rules or restrictions for him and he is still healthy and living his best life with my parents now. Currently working full time as a PT but usually get off work on Fridays at 4 and usually available to take bookings over the weekend. I live in a community house so we have a common yard. It is not fenced. Regarding inside of home I treat pets as a family member.

About: I’ve worked as a dog caretaker at a doggy daycare for a couple years. During that time I’ve done basic care for the dogs but also have had to learn to administer insulin to some dogs. Whilst also helping to foster multiple dogs over the years. Most recently I have worked as a dog bather for over two and a half years. I am comfortable around all dogs and sizes. I’m currently looking to work with animals part time as they are a big part of my life and what brings me joy. Being able to be around and help dogs or cats have a better day means a lot. Whatever is needed for your fur family member I am able to accommodate. I understand some dogs are on routines that need to be kept. I also respect the wishes of the client and their home.

About: I have been taking care of dogs ranging from a few lbs to 100+ lbs for years! I have also been caring for different types of cats just as long :) Growing up we always had a dog in the house, so that has made me super comfortable to be around them. Whether I’m walking, feeding, cleaning, or administering medication, I am definitely not afraid of the job! I am a proud mama of 2 cats named Archie and Simon. They are my absolute world! I will make sure to give your pets the same care, caution, attention, and love I give my boys! Pet care has always been a passion of mine. In fact, I went to school for it! Although I did not end up pursuing my desire to become a veterinarian, I still try to incorporate that love for animals in my day to day life! I have an extremely flexible work schedule that allows me to almost work fully remote. I would be able to stop over at the house pretty much whenever you need me to. My work set up also allows me to work anywhere if needed. My weekends are almost always open as well! I will always make sure to talk through your expectations to ensure you are comfortable with the nature of each type of visit. I typically would not host any pets in our home. We have a fenced in backyard and several spaces; however, I would not want to put your pet or my cats in an uncomfortable space. At a clients home, I am more than comfortable with backyard access, crate training, cleaning litter boxes, accessing food/water, and any other requirements for the visit! (Totally fine bringing in mail/watering plants!) I will only access the spaces you need me to. I am also fine spending the night if needed. That would be something we could discuss case by case!
“My wife and I met Lauriel only briefly to introduce our dogs and cover their specifics and immediately knew she would be a great fit.. We are very happy to have met Lauriel and are excited to have her continue to help take care of our boys... Thank you for all the you do! - highly recommended based on: patience, warmness, reliability”

“Leah is the best! She goes above and beyond for scooby and genuinely can tell she loves animals. She takes him on great walks and adores her from all the photos I see! 💖”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and have had my family dog for 9 years now. I do a lot of the caring for my dog. I played an integral part in my dog’s recovery from knee surgery. I have also dog sat many times for dogs of all ages from 1-2 year old dogs to elderly dogs. I was also a dog sitter for my college canine companion club for 2 years. This taught me a lot about dog training, etiquette, and respect. While taking care of these dogs, I walked them, gave them food and water, played with the dogs, gave the dogs their medications, worked on owner specified training, and made sure that the dogs were comfortable and happy. I have always loved dogs, listened to their body language, and respected them. I am available to sit for single dog households and multiple pet or dog and cat households. I look forward to meeting your furry family members! Starting Jan 5 I am not available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3-8:30pm and Saturday 1-5:30, but I am otherwise available to play with and take care of your furry family members. Starting Jan 26, I am not available Monday or Wednesday, Tuesday from 3-8:30pm, Thursday from 7-9:30pm, Friday 8:30-11:30am, or Saturday 1-5:30, but I am otherwise available to play with and take care of your furry family members. I do not offer in my home care. I am glad to talk about any and all routines and rules you want me to follow with your pet (within reason). I am great at reading body language of your furry family members and will do my absolute best at following both your instructions and expectations as well as making sure your furry family members are listened to, comfortable, and happy. I will always treat your furry family members like they are family.
“Wendy has been walking my puppy, Missy, three days a week for 30 minutes each time, and she’s been wonderful. Missy always comes back happy and relaxed after their walks. Missy is a diva and sometimes resists going out, but Wendy is always patient, kind, and understanding with her. I especially love the feedback and pictures Wendy shares after each walk—they give me a lot of comfort and peace knowing how Missy is doing. I’ve really appreciated the care and consistency she brings to every visit, and I hope to see her back in the spring.”

“Maite was amazing with my dog. She took the time for my dog to get to know her and be comfortable. My dog loved her daily walks with Maite. Highly recommend. Looking forward to booking with Maite again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who loves meeting new dogs and cats and helping them feel comfortable while their number-one person is away 🐾 I have two dogs of my own, including one who is high-strung and requires daily medication, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets who need a little extra patience, attention, or special care. I also have experience with puppies, seniors, medications, special needs, leash-reactive dogs, and dogs who aren’t comfortable around other dogs. I work remotely, which gives me flexibility in my schedule and allows me to be available for walks and drop-in visits. I also have a fenced yard and a family with 3 kids and 2 dogs, so I’m very accustomed to the fun, sometimes chaotic, and always rewarding world of pets! Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Whether that means getting some energy out on a walk, having a little playtime, getting medications, or simply having someone there to give them attention and reassurance. I’d love the opportunity to meet your furry family member and give them the same patience, care, and attention I’d want for my own pets. 🐾 I am currently working full time remote. I can monitor their play time in the back yard and make it fun. I can crate your dog before I leave if needed. I can take your dog on a walk if desired.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
